The staff were fantastic. Always happy and cheerful with everyone and amongst themselves. Family run business. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. The sea views from the bedroom were the best. The nearest beach 15 minutes walk down hill. On a hill , taxi into Chania old town € 7.50 . Number 21 bus stop into Chania 5 minutes walk to the bus stop. Also bus to Platanias beach or even further was easy to navigate , we did beautiful coastal walks back to the hotel. The breakfast was good. Lots of choices. The restaurant food was excellent. Waiting staff were friendly, kind and attentive. Best Cocktails. Highly recommend.

We loved having the breakfast included. It was a little different each day and Maria, Di and Theo were wonderful hosts. We felt well taken care of! And even a little spoilt. We would recommend this place. But all in all we loved the location - not in the heart of everything, on a little hill and in a little neighbourhood. Felt like we were part of home. Thank you for your hospitality!!

The only thing was the pool. We were a little dissappointed that the jacuzzi was not warmed up, Since we were a little unlucky with the weather when we were there. I have one suggestion - Not sure if it is done in high season. It would be nice to have a window blur from the restaurant to the swimming pool so that swimmers don't need to see the diners and the diners dont need to see the swimmers.

Great location, friendly helpful staff, excellent food in restaurant downstairs again with very friendly attentive staff. I believe the hotel/restaurant complex is family run, you can't go wrong! We stayed 2 nights so didn't have a chance to use the pool. Our room (106) had a massive comfortable bed, a balcony looking towards the sea and Chania town. The bathroom was small but clean and freshly renovated. Perfect for our stay, thank you Alexis hotel.

We had one breakfast down in the restaurant area, although the restaurant food was excellent the night before, the breakfast was a little average.

We loved everything about our stay at Alexis hotel. The room was great was a large balcony. There’s a fridge in the lobby with drinks and ice creams at a very reasonable prices. Our breakfast each morning was great, the lady serving breakfast everyday was so lovely, she made our start to the day so pleasant every morning! In fact, all staff were very kind and helpful. If we’re back in Crete we’ll definitely be coming back!

It’s a little bit out of chania which makes walking difficult however taxi’s and buses always available near by!

Not enough good things can be said about the Alexis Hotel! The staff, Dia, at recetion and Eva, who cleaned our room, were welcoming and gracious. Maria who was in charge of the breakfast each day was very hospitable. The evening Theodosi restaurant staff, Manuel, Kalopi, and Maria were excellent! Of course, we give high marks to Theo, the owner, who made our stay very special. When we can return to Chania, this is where we will stay!!

Very friendly and helpful staff, rooms were great and very clean. Location is great, about 20-30 minute walk into town (or taxi for €8, bus for €1.1). Nice sea view from most balconies.

Hot tub/jacuzzi is not hot. It gets heated from the sun only. The fitness centre is right next to reception and has old equipment, nothing like you'd find in a commercial gym at home.

We really loved our stay at Alexis hotel! The staff is friendly, the room was cleaned everyday, our towels changed every two days! We were also provided with beach towels for free which is cool if you have a small luggage. The diner included is incredible! You get to choose from the Theodosis restaurant menu your starter and main course, and the dessert is really good and changes everyday. The sunset from the restaurant is beautiful! We were happily surprised with this hotel and will surely recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Chania 😊

The only thing we regretted was that the doors from the rooms don't lock easily and you have to slash it to be able to close it. This creates a loud noise every time someone is leaving or entering their room ... Other than that, everything else was perfect

Everything! The location, the quality of food, the ambience and most importantly, the passion that flows from the hearts of all the staff members - from the very top (Josefina and Theo) to the rest of them (Sophie and Eleni in housekeeping, Maria in the kitchen and all the members of one big ‘Alexis family’).

We did not like the fact that we had to cut short our holiday and leave a day early to catch our ferry from the other side of this big island, due to my ignorance while booking the ferry to the next island. Theo was very generous and most kind and caring in facilitating our smooth onward journey without imposing penalties. A quality NOT seen nowadays in a very competitive business world that we live in. Thanks Theo🙏

Amazing hotel, why? 1- Nice, kind and helpful staff 2- Clean 3- Nice location 4- Good breakfast 5- Awesome restaurant The restaurant Theodosi is one of the best Restaurants in Chania, you have to book the table during the day for dinner; otherwise, it would be fully booked. The food was so delicious. I recommend everyone book a room with half board to enjoy dinner.

Public transportation in Chania was not good, usually, I had to get a taxi and it took time to reach us. So I recommend if you have a driver's license, Better to rent a car and enjoy it.

Amazing views, attentive staff, close proximity to chania town, plenty room for parking, air conditioning worked a treat, tasty and varied breakfast/dinner, happy hour cocktails between 5pm and 7pm (50% off), I wasn't feeling particularly well 1 evening so staff were kind enough to provide room service for dinner, they also helped us out when we accidentally locked the car keys in the car as the rental company wanted to charge 100 euros for a locksmith but staff at hotel sourced us another locksmith at less than half the price
