Such a classic and historic location but modernized in a tasteful way. We loved the style and the people went above and beyond to help us. Vasilis in particular waited up until 3am to let us in and show us the room even though the reception closed at 1am. Really really kind. The restaurant as well is beautiful and the breakfast is fantastic. In addition the location was just off the main area so more tranquil but easy to access all that Chania has to offer. We promised to return as soon as we can!

Perfect location, well appointed large room, amazing service. Historic building. Breakfast was amazing.

Hot tub on roof wasn’t really a hot tub… more like a shallow bath that you can fill with water. Air conditioning was centrally controlled and too warm at night, it was not possible to adjust the temp properly in the room. Many hotels do this now to save energy but at 450 euros a night I want to set the temperature in my room to whatever I want (and if cost is that much of an issue then just add 20 euros a night to the bill!)

One of the most beautiful hotels we've ever stayed in! We stayed in the opposite building and the room was very modern and well designed. Lots of storage and felt very fancy. The main building was also stunning, we loved seeing the old ruins below the hotel. Every single member of staff was so lovely, attentive and friendly, throughout our whole stay. Even before our stay the wonderful reception team helped us arrange a transfer, book a meal and shared the spa information. We looked forward to breakfast every morning not just because the food was amazing but because of the warm welcome from the team. We also had dinner one night and it did not disappoint! The location was perfect, super easy to get around and walking distance to the bus stop to get to the beach. Loads of cute little bars with live music and great restaurants are all within a few minutes walk, but not in a noisy area. The atmosphere was lovely, very chilled and upmarket, without being pretentious. Really recommend hiring the pool area and booking a massage too! We left it a bit late and asked to book a massage on the day, the team were so helpful in arranging this. I really felt like the staff went above and beyond in every interaction we had, they made us feel like really valued guests. We'd love to visit again 😊

There was some minor construction work going on above our room. This didn't massively disrupt our stay as it usually started as we were getting ready to go to breakfast, but it did mean we felt we couldn't quite relax in the room during the day. We would have been happier if we'd been told at check in. The bathroom situation isn't what I'd have chosen, the toilet is separated from the room by a sliding door and a curtain and to me didn't feel very private.

The staff were all extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The breakfast menu is a very good selection of options, and all prepared and served very well. The location is excellent, being in a quiet side street only metres away from the centre.

The air-conditioning could be a bit problematic, as you couldn't control it directly and had to ask the front-desk for changes. This meant asking for a change, then having to wait and see if that fixed things before going and asking again the next morning.

Everything was perfect. Ideal location to explore the old town. Staff were caring and attentive. Food was excellent. Breakfast was super fresh. Dinner was delicious. They took such good care of us. We wish we had more days to spend there. Thank you all, we will be back for sure ✨

Beautifu historic property, with elegant architectural design that highlights the ancient elements. Excellent location close to restaurants and shops.

Everything was wonderful. Get a room with rooftop pool, it's a great spot to look over the city and cool off.

It was spotlessly clean and although extremely central was very quiet The facilities were excellent topped off by the James Bond access to the sun terrace The restaurant was superb as were the staff

We recently stayed at this hotel and had the best experience ever. Everything was perfect. The breakfast was delicious with many options, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Highly recommend and can't wait to return!

The location is romantic in the heart of the Venetian quarter next to the ancient church of St Eleuthera, the atmosphere & architecture exotic and the décor (unlike that of so many hotels) in the best of taste. Everyone of the staff is utterly charming and ready to help at the drop of a hat. Breakfast in elegant surroundings is delicious. The fittings in the room and its design (though small) are of the best. In addition to well equipped shower they include a magnificent jacuzzi bath open to the sky.

It must be said that it is hard to find. Our taxi driver gave up and left us to wander until an emergency call to Petros at the reception, brought him out to find us and guide us back. Perhaps the authorities might allow more “signage”. There were a few lacunæ in the room: the USB plugs were beyond repair, the lavatory flush flowed continually, and the clock told the time on some other planet. None of these deterred us from our enjoyment, but, if they mark a trend, it could become troublesome.
