The building was an older classical building (? Late 19th century) with some interesting features (entrance hall with old booth for doorman). The staff were absolutely delightful, especially the tall, dark haired young man with glasses, who was really committed to making our stay comfortable. The rooms were very comfortable. Unfortunately we had a problem with our heater (wouldn’t turn off). We were given advice, but after a difficult nights sleep, we told the same receptionist and after a few minutes, he arranged for us to have a different room which was also much quieter, facing the courtyard rather than the busy main road. The breakfast was great, lots of variety and fresh food. Will definitely stay again, and would love to revisit. Excellent position in terms of public transport.

Initially over hot (but this was remedied, see comment), opening windows because of the heat was a problem due to traffic noise below. I recommend a room facing the courtyard, very quiet and cooler. A little difficult to find, as although it is right opposite Keleti station, and has “Hotel” clearly displayed, the Baross hotel sign can only be seen when on the same street. The staff were exceptional, so any minor problems were quickly forgotten.

The staff is very attentive, kind and willing to help. Every morning between 07:00 to 10:00 you can enjoy a delicious breakfast which is included in the price. Every day the room is attended and cleaned including towels and sheets. The Location is great, because it actually is located very near a public transport hub,so in a matter of minutes you can get to Metro lines M2, M4 and a lot of bus lines. The price for the room is reasonable. The room is spacious. The room contains a fully equipped kitchen with microwave oven, regular oven, refrigerator and even inductive stove. Not far from the hotel there are several grocery stores.

The flexible hose of the spout in the bath was too short . The food table wasn't stable.

It was near Keleti station with an entrance practically outside the hotel and bus stop is right outside too. A bit difficult to find at first as the banner showing the hotel name is not directly at the entrance and I ended up walking into a bar looking for the entrance. The staff are great. Apparently the lift only stops at the courtyard area and the interior is only served by stairs. I had help with my luggage up and down the stairs so kudos to the staff for that. Good spread for breakfast and I could smell it from 7am from my room. They even provide non dairy and lactose free milk.

It is not stair free so those with problems climbing stairs need to take note. Hot water took some time to come on.

We liked most of the things, the room was clean, warm and comfortable. We had a great view from the main train station and we enjoyed the morning sun in our room. The location of the hotel was perfect, you can access it very easily if you travel by plane and also you can go around the city by any means of public transport. The staff was polite and helpful. We enjoyed our staying!

In the early morning, from the bathroom, you could feel the smell of the cooking, propably the breakfast. But if you close the door you avoide this smell. The breakfast was good but it is better to go before 9.00 as after that most of the things are finished. The only thing that i didnt like was the boiled eggs, they were cold and not fresh, boiled one or 2 maybe 3 days ago. Everything else was nice, fresh and tasty.

An ideal place if you have a transit and need to catch a train from Keleti Station (1-2 minutes on foot). There are grocery stores nearby, a 24-hour reception, a good breakfast, an elevator, cleanliness, and friendly staff. You can leave your belongings in a special storage room. Good free internet. Metro and other public transport stops are close to the hotel. It took us 20 minutes on foot to reach the Danube and the pedestrian area.

The only downsides – some noise from the street can be heard, and instead of a shower cabin, the room has a bathtub.

The room was really good. Bed was comfortable. I had to ask for a kettle and cup to make myself a cup of tea with my teabags but staff were happy to supply. Room was close to the train station so easy access to catch a train at the end of our stay. Breakfast was great with a wide variety to cater for taste and dietary need. There were good security measures for entering the building so you felt safe.

Lift was a bit claustrophobic so I used the stairs and got my steps in. Hubby was happy to use lift. A few unsavoury looking characters hanging around outside but they were probably harmless.

Good location, if your legs are strong you can walk to many attractions by feet or take a subway which practically under hotel. Also there’s Big bus tour stop close. Cleaning was super perfect, they even folded husband’s shirts😂, thank you!!! Beds were comfortable, breakfast was also very rich, they make really taste omlette🥰

Heating in the room doesn’t work ( it was +3 outside) in general it's good for health and ok if you have a sweater or warm partner🤭

It was our first stay in Budapest. The hotel is very nice and located in a very good place - with good connection for public transport (buses, metro, train). To go to the Parliament Building is only few minutes by using metro :) also there is a good connection to go to F1 Race on Hungaroring :) Close to hotel there are also shops/restaurants :) The room in hotel was good, also there is very nice and helpful personnel. Also nice breakfast. I can reccomend this hotel :)

First of all: All staff were friendly and helpful. We did not wait at reception even arrived a bit earlier than check in time. Hotel's location is over Keleti Train Station and very easy to access all over Budapest (via bus or M2-M4 metro lines). Room has AC and it was working while we entered the room (just finding how to turn it was a secret but receptionist helped us). Also there were enough drinks and foods for breakfast.

Our room was in 6th floor and there were no elevator access (only avaliable to 5th floor, not hotel's fault of course). We had to carry luggages by stairs but staff offered help. There were no shampoo in the bathroom, only shower gel. Our room had bath tube and there were a curtain, it did not protect the bathroom so wet. Beds were not so cosy but as we were so tired, it was not a problem. Breakfast room is a bit small, finding a table might be a problem (we found by luck).

The location was excellent although the people outside the hotel looked a bit scary. The room was really comfortable. Many options for breakfast.

The restaurant or the place where we had breakfast was not very big (a bad thing). Too many doors to enter to the hotel. The room's window looked out onto an interior courtyard, not the street, so people passing by could see you since there was a hallway right next to the window.
