Very nice hotel about a half mile walk outside of the city centre. Very clean , my room was serviced every day I was there. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good, very decent selection. The staff were pleasant and helpful and booked me a taxi to the city centre , to catch the airport bus on the morning I was leaving .

No tea and coffee facilities in the room. I’m guessing this is just the case though in some countries outside of the U.K. .

Hotel is really proper one for short trips, longer weekend to Budapest. Good location. Very nice employees willing to answer all questions even like "where do you usually eat in town". Definitely place to recommend.

But...the only thing I would recommend to change it TV...all channels were in Hungarian which not every person speak. 1 English would be nice to have in the room. Or at least Radio :)

The coffee served at breakfast was probably the worst we've ever had. The scrambled eggs were cold right at the start of breakfast. The hotel assured us that gluten-free pastries would be available during breakfast. I reminded them at check-in that we would need gluten-free pastries for breakfast. Then I had to ask for them again during breakfast and we were given frozen bread, which they tried to quickly warm up, but it was still frozen and inedible. You would expect that if we reported it several times in advance, they would take the bread out of the freezer the night before so that it had time to defrost.

Location is great, it's very close to Keleti railway station but it's far enough from the centre of the city, around 20 minutes if you walk. Luckily, bus station is right near hotel. The personnel is very nice, everyone was very polite and helpful. I especially appreciate that we were offered to keep our luggage in store toom while we wait for our train and it was free of charge. The breakfast is also good, there are a lot of things to choose from and everything is delicious. The beds are cozy and nice, there are also safe, mini bar and air conditioner in the room.

The upholstery of chairs in the room is worn off, they look shabby. Minibar barely freezes so don't expect to use it as full fledged refrigerator, your ice cream won't make it if you keep it for a night. Wi-Fi doesn't work steady, it's a little unstable Yet, despite these nitpicks, I still enjoyed my staying and highly recommend this hotel, you get a lot for this price

The people were very nice and helpful, check-in/out was quick and easy, breakfast was good, room was large and comfortable, quiet facing the courtyard, close to the train station and also city center is not too far, if ever there are limes and bikes nearby. really enjoyed my stay :)

Maybe a few things that can be updated: the fridge was suprisingly loud for its size, so I unplugged it. Since the doors of the other rooms are often closed not by using the key but slammed, my own door tended to vibrate, maybe that can be adjusted a bit. Also the chimes of the elevators are a tad loud, also maybe room for adjustement there? But I understand that they are necessary. But overall minor things, just meant as suggestions ;)

Excellent location only five minutes from Keleti Palyaudvar and Metro. Even though some people were complaining about the breakfast in the reviews we were fully satisfied, they were not surprised with gluten-free menu, staff was helpful and I have to admit that I've stayed in worser hotels with more than three stars. For breakfast there are several types of pastry and bread, salty and sweet. Four types of salami and three types of cheese, varied during the days. Warm food also different every day, just mixed eggs were available every day.

Bed could be better, but it was comfortable enough and pillows were good, I just prefer harder matress.

The hotel is located in a very quite and good area. Directly at the hotel entrace, you have 2 bus stations, one is in front and the other at the corner of the building connecting 4 sides of the city. The main station is about 5 min from the hotel. The hotel was very great value. Our room was very clean, comfortable and serviced everyday, 4 days, towels were changed too. The breakfast was very good too, with multiple selections. The hotel staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. They help us also with our bagbacks, cause we checked out at 09.00 and our flight was at 19.15, so we enjoyed the rest of the day, cause have a luggage lock room. Wireless everywhere in the building. 2 elevators. If we will visit again Budapest we will stay at this hotel for sure.

We had such a great stay at star city hotel The place was super clean, comfy, and in a great location. But honestly, what made it extra special was the staff!! everyone was so friendly and helpful. Huge shout-out to Christine! She was absolutely amazing .. so kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. She really made us feel at home. Thanks again to the whole team — we’d definitely come back!

If I could suggest one thing, it would be to add a bit more variety to the breakfast options. Other than that, everything was great.

Family room was spacious and comfortable. Most of the times we struggle to find a hotel with 1 double and 2 twin beds in the same room. Beds were comfortable and room extra clean. Only I wish there would have been a kettle in the room.

Breakfast food had no bacon while there were scrambled eggs. there were some frank type sausages, but unfortunately, they did not taste good. salami also seemed to be a cheaper type, lots of fat and very little taste. ham was good. coffee was from the automatic machine, but looked like the long-life milk was used in it, so it gave a coffee not so pleasant flavor. no hot chocolate option for kids. Also, there were no sugar next to the coffee machine, just a sweetener. As main breakfast room was mostly too busy, people often had to seek alternative choice by sitting outside in lobby area, where there was no sugar, salt, pepper on the tables. Overall, it was ok, sadly our kids could not eat much due to small variety.

The twin room was spacious with single beds in two separate areas. Good breakfast, friendly staff: special thanks to Lily who helped us with the purchase of the tickets for the thermal centre. 24 Hour reception is always nice We entered the room at 11 mornings upon our arrival at no extra cost Hotel is located in a nice area not far from Keleti Station, bus 74 stops just opposite Price was affordable compared to what we received

There was a loud scratching noise coming from one of the two lifts : it seems the lift was finally put out of service Hotel would need some rennovations
