The check-in was smooth and the room was comfortable. I booked a single room with shared bathroom for a one-night stay. The staff were helpful and the location is good.It's easy to navigate around Budapest with the help of public transportation. I believe it's an ideal deal for a short trip of a day or two in Budapest.

As always, very friendly staff, fluent in English. I like the authenticity of this place and its guests, but often I benefit from an unbeatable check-in time already from 11:30. Now they even have an air con in rooms on the 3rd floor (FYI you need a deposit in cash to get the remote control, and I guess it.might be an extra charge, I was lucky for a cold weather so did not need to try)

Just to emphasize what is clear from the description, that toilets and bathrooms are shared (jusr one solo toilet and one with 2 showers, 1 toilet and 2 pissoires per floor with some 15 rooms, so be precautious especially of you realise you are sharing a floor with a larger group that may be on the same schedule as you). I was so far wlways super-lucky with these grouos, even once ended up socialising in a responsible way with some secondary school students at like 2am, but I guess this sort of luck goes only with those who are relaxed and prepared to improvise in a shared facilities accommodation)

- good position in the wider city center and railway stations Keleti or Zugló (15 min. walk) - good quality to price ratio - garbage bin was cleaned daily, shared toilets and bathrooms were in general clean - glasses and empty jar for water were really helpful for me

- under my room there was a little bit noisy air conditioning running 24/7, but it doesn't interrupt my sleeping - sometimes I could hear the sounds from neighbouring rooms - pillow was not filled so much, I had to fold it multiple times to have something stiffer under my head - missing lamp next to my bed (on the other side, it was present)

Real and reliable 24hr reception + all receptionists always very friendly and fluent in English {I stay here quite often). They are constantly improving (new floors, beds, now working on airconditioning). Just 1 minute from the bust stop of quite frequent bus lines (also at night) While toilets, bathrooms and showers are shared, they are really nice and clean, and unless a schedule coincidence with large groups (students classes, etc.), I have not acknowledged any inconvenience.

All ideal for me, but I guess you might need to know: - no elevator (as far as I could observe), and stairs also at the entrance = not OK for any even tiny handicap with walking, or heavy luggage or so (but they have few rooms on a ground floor, but maybe with no windows, but it makes sense to ask them if you are a group with just few handicaped ones) - no breakfast, but 24h food store just about 5 minutes walk (towards the Keleti train station) - as they are installing aircon, there might be noises already from 8am (but they often vacuum clean that early) = not ideal for all those who come to Budapest for night parties

Very nice reception. The common bathroom was very clean, the best one I saw in Budapest so far at a place this price. I think in the future there is also going to be air conditioning, because the air conditioner was already in the room, we just couldn’t use it yet but the reception was really nice about our question. Best price value in Budapest sofar, I’ll definitely consider booking again. The other travelers were also respectful of each other, no disturbing sounds or anything.

There were some stains on the bedding but nothing awful. I would have loved if the air conditioner worked but this time we were in no luck.

Have stayed and reported on this accomodation several times. On my first visit this year found that premises had been re-decorated, new sanitary ware, showers, and tiling, and light sensors. Everything, including bedding and towels, was sparkling white and clean. This remains totally basic accommodation with no hint of luxury, but cheap, very clean place to stay, in an excellent location near to main railway station and on numerous bus routes with easy access to centre. Also convenient 24 hour reception.

The coffee machine, although not expensive, gave out a miniscule amount of coffee for the money.

I returned to Dominik Panzió after some years and was happy to see the street has not changed much and it's still very pleasant. It was good to see the place underwent improvements like the refurbished bathrooms but kept its modesty and purpose. It was great to see staff at the reception and the keys being kept there the classic way. Cold drinks can be bought at the reception and there is a hot-drink vending machine in the hallway. Wifi was very good. I like the early check-in time. For those using public transport - the proximity of a bus stop is great, especially in winter time.

I wish breakfast would become available for all guests again.

I stayed here for 3 nights. The location is right in front of the bus stops and very convenient. There is almost no noise during the day or night, so you can get a good night's sleep. The shared toilet and bathroom were very clean, and the room was clean as well. I had reserved a single-bed room, but luckily, my room had 3 beds.

It would have been great to have a small mirror in the room, but other than that, it was very good in terms of price-performance.

Taking into account the price I paid, this hostel exceeded my expectations - clean room and bathroom, very quiet and warm. Is very convenient that the hotel/ hostel is not far from public transport station, very easy to find and get there. The staff is polite and helpful. I travel a lot and I really recommend this place, the distance from the city center is not a problem, with a 24 hours travel card (costs about 6 €) is very convenient to use public transport and get very fast and easy anywhere.

Very good, quiet location and close to bus stops. Reception were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The beds were comfortable and housekeeping kept our room and bathroom exceptionally clean. Fans were provided in the rooms for the very hot weather.

The shower doors don’t close fully so it was a little difficult not to put water everywhere but this wasn’t a big issue.
