We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Rooftop City Residence in Budapest, and we must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel's location is conveniently close to the city center, making it an ideal base for exploring Budapest's vibrant culture and attractions. The reception staff, particularly Benedek, were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and customer-oriented. He consistently went above and beyond his duties to ensure every need was met with a smile, offering outstanding assistance throughout our stay. His genuine friendliness and proactive approach set the tone for a truly memorable visit. The breakfast service was truly remarkable. Joli and Szandi from the kitchen were exceptionally friendly and ensured the buffet remained warm, clean, and delicious throughout. They demonstrated a genuine passion for their work, taking pride in every detail to ensure that guests started their day with a satisfying meal. The impressive variety and high quality of the offerings provided a delightful start to each day. Their dedication to maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere in the dining area was truly commendable. The housekeeping team also deserves recognition for their outstanding work behind the scenes. Although their efforts were largely invisible, their impeccable attention to detail was evident everywhere. The rooms were spotless, fresh, and well-maintained throughout our stay. Overall, we highly recommend Rooftop City Residence for its excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location. It truly feels like a home away from home in the heart of Budapest.

Very accommodating and cordial staff. Cebtrally located near public transport and attractions. Convenient Parking in the garage for a fee. Last but certainly not the least, the breakfast and the staff managing it are very kind and nice people. Highly recommended!

I liked everything. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great. The place is very clean. Every thing was great. I will, for shure repeat this. Receptionists are great and always there for you. Great guys.

People where super nice. Specially the woman in the kitchen preparing the breakfast and the cleaning team. Always a smile, always few words. Breakfast was simple but a lot of vairiety specially veggies,which is much appretiated. (Maybe a kettle for hot water could be a +) It was clean and warm inside of the rooms. Also bathroom were very clean and warm

Personally,The strong smells from the aromas on the corredors where very unconfortable. Also it seems like a new renotaved-ish place and it seems to have no soul. It could be a hospital. TOO MUCH light in the rooms, beautiful during the day ( even if the views are not specially beautiful) but during the morning when it gets bright at 6 and you want to sleep the little curtins dont do the job. It was not close to the center, Budapest is huge and everything takes for ever if ypou walk, Aprox 40 min to get somewhere. It did not feel like a hotel but more like a hostel.

Interesting and original hotel with wonderful views of the city. Many plants on the territory. Family room for 4 people is clean and spacious, two toilets, which is very convenient. Breakfast is varied, everything is delicious. The staff is wonderful, we are very grateful to them. The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the train station, metro station, bus stops. Nearby is a huge park with a classic playground, children are delighted. Behind the park is a zoo, you can walk. Also nearby is a large shopping center. The location is convenient for tourism. In the city, we rode a ship along the Danube. On the opposite side of the Parliament it costs twice as much as near the Parliament, it is better to go on the 19th, because there is lighting of the Parliament and other buildings. Tickets must be bought in advance online, but we bought at the entrance to the ship an hour before departure. We crossed the Danube over a pedestrian bridge and turned right, walked for 10-15 minutes. I recommend this hotel, I would stay there again.

Close to the Keleti train station, this is a very interesting accommodation. It sits on top of a shopping mall. The entrance is a bit weird but once you get to the floor, it is a different thing. Very clean, bathrooms were spotless as were the rooms. The breakfast was one of the biggest surprises, the nice lady who was cooking there, although she spoke no English, was very nice and added a nice familiar vibe to it. The food was great and a lot of things to choose from. You could also have breakfast on the terrace, which was nice. The staff was very helpful and the self check in was super easy. The instructions were clear.

The single room is a bit crammed but I guess it was to be expected. Also, the walls are pretty thin and you could hear other guests doing all sorts of things.

All the rooms are situated on the rooftop of a building and they all have access to balconies and the terrace, which gives you a nice view of the flat side of the Danube ☺️ the breakfast room is an all-windows room that allows you to bathe in the sun while having breakfast ❤️ there’s a very wide variety of foods, their French toast was the absolute best and the chef kindly arranged glutenfree options for my friend. They even offered multiple times to pack a breakfast-bag for us, as we had to leave very early in the morning ❤️

Everything was perfect. Rooms are clean and warm and have all the appliances one needs 😊

We really loved almost everything in the hotel: the staff were amazing, always helpful and polite, always happy to give the necessary info or help. The place was so cozy and homely, the breakfast delicious. I especially loved that there was a choice of vegetables and salads both fresh and cooked. The location of the residence is great, really close to the centre, but the street itself is quiet, so there was no trouble with noises or crouds. We really enjoyed our balcony with the amazing view over the city and would love to return to enjoy the terrace more.

What could be improved: the shower cabin was leaking, so the mat always ended up wet after shower. We were also surprised not to find the usual slippers inside the room. I understand that this is done for ecological purposes and really appreciate it, but since I didn't take any slippers with me it was rather inconvenient to go out on the balcony. However, these issues haven't really affected our stay in a negative way.

The hotel is an excellent surprise. Clean and spacious room Great breakfast, and very nice and concerned staff 7 minutes walking distance from the subway station, and in 3 stops you are downtown The hotel occupies a roof top, and that’s a cool concept. Can be a difficult to find, but if you look carefully, you will see the billboard information, with all the instructions how to get your door open It was a great experience. I imagine during summer time, with the garden and the sunset.

They offer an online check in, and they “kind” of insist that you use it. I’ve been even contacted via WhatsApp. We didn’t use because we arrived during reception opening hours You have to allow a 100,00€ deposit in your credit card. They state that in the booking page and they message you, via booking, with that and other important information. The reason I mention it is that is kind of awkward, it´s not a hostel, where we can accept this procedure. But the process is smooth, and transparent
