We didnt realized the room was directly over the bar, so the music was heard/felt under the floor and the patrons were loud outside our window. But, we never used the thoughtful ear plugs and were still able to sleep. We truly enjoyed the location and liveliness. It was central to everything we had to do.
The first metal door is narrow and difficult to hold open while entering through it, especially with a backpack on. European's definition of air conditioning (AC) Is not the same as Americans. We've learned that over hear, AC means a portable fan, not a machine that uses refrigerant to actually make the air colder, not just blow the warm air around. But Temple Bar did at least have a large fan that blew pretty hard.

The location was close to all the action, bars, restaurants, etc. It was a bit of a walk to places like Guinness and distilleries, but a taxi was about 10 Euros so not too bad. The room was clean and all I needed for my stay.
It was in a very loud area of town where people tend to be loud until very late. Having not been to Dublin before it was my fault for knowing where this place was, but just be aware that if you are looking for somewhere quite, this is not the best place. If you are looking to go out and drink and party late, this is a great place. No elevator at this location, so be prepared to carry your luggage up a few stairs. Also if you have a car, it has a place you can park, but it's not included and it's a bit tough to get to especially on the weekends.

From booking… up to after we left… the hotel does an excellent job of sending messages with all the information you might need. Communication is excellent which takes away any stress or worries. The staff are absolutely brilliant - all of them so friendly and ready to help. The management also helped us with our taxi to the airport above and beyond. You can not beat the location - you are in the heart of Dublin it feels like. The energy/ atmosphere even on a weekday is great! The rooms and apartment were modern and clean and everything you need.
It is of course noisy at times in the area but you should expect that if you want to stay right at the centre of the Irish fun and culture.

If you want to be in and amongst then this is perfect location. Our apartment was literally on top of The Temple Bar pub so absolutely ideal location for those that want to venture out to bars etc. Yes it was noisy but what do people honestly expect - if you don’t want noise and hustle & bustle then don’t stay around Temple Bar, simple. Apartment was great, decent size lounge/kitchen area with fridge etc. Bathroom also a decent size and modern, and bedroom was just fine with two single beds. All in all a very good stay and would definitely stay again for the price, great value for money. Noisy yes, but have a few drinks and you’ll sleep through!!
Nothing to dislike

The location was great, central in the city and the room was very comfortable and clean. The cost is what id expect for it, the staff seemed nice in my short dealings with them and the external food and socializing options are numerous and nearby. The room i had would suit a solo or couple traveling.
The room was a box room so quiet small but i totally expected that so its not a bad thing really. It was comfortable and warm and had a clean bathroom and shower en suite. There is a little bit of street noise until 1am(I was there mid week) that filters in as its a busy part of the city so again, it wasn't too bad and i had a fine sleep.

I loved the comfortable bed, and spotless bathroom. I also loved that I had a window in my room. There was a lot of street noise from live music in bars, from pedestrians and chatter in beer gardens near by, but that I considered as part of the experience of staying in the very 'Lively' Temple Bar area. You can always close the window if it bothers you and there's an air conditioner to still keep you cool even with the window closed. There was ample tea making supplies with lovely big mugs, bottled spring water, milk, tea bags, coffee sachets and a kettle. A fine sized flat screen tv was situated comfortably on the wall opposite to the bed which was nice. There was a very well stocked confectionery vending machine in the hallway should you require some sweet or savoury snacks without having to leave the hotel. There was hanging space for shirts and jackets, a fold out seat, and an extremely easy to use hot and cold electric shower with plenty of clean towels. The room was also very fresh smelling and had a room deodoriser should you wish to switch it on. The only thing missing was a hair dryer, it didn't ruin my experience of the hotel, but I would have like one as I had to wait for my hair to dry before going to the gig I was attending in the 3Olympia that evening. All in all a very good experience in the Temple Bar Lane Hotel.
I loved absolutely everything about my stay in the hotel, my only problem was they didn't have a hair dryer. I didn't think to pack one as hotel's in their price range usually have a hair dryer in the room, but unfortunately they didn't. So I did deduct one point in my rating of the room for that reason, giving them a 9/10. It is a very small touch they should add, which will make a huge difference to guests. They would have gotten a 10 rating from me if they had of had one in my room.

The apartment was well presented and had (almost)* everything we needed for a long weekend in Dublin city.
*As the apartment is quite literally above The Temple Bar, it was very lively until closing which is not reallyan issue, this is Dublin after all. But the main source of noise came from the venue having their empty kegs collected very early each morning, which took at least an hour. It may be a good idea to provide guests with some complimentary ear plugs or at least advise them they should bring some.

First I booked 2 single rooms. The single room was a disaster. It's so small that it's hard to move around in it. There's nowhere to even hang a jacket, let alone put a suitcase down. And in the bathroom, I'm afraid to take a shower because I felt like I was going to punch a hole in the shower with my elbow. After one night, my colleague and I got an apartment to share and it was a great change. The apartment was very good., comfortable, clean, with new equipment. The kitchen was very well equipped. Apart from that, the hotel's location is great. It's next to and above the most famous pub in the city. And one of the most famous place in the city.
Very, very small single room.

Good, clean, small budget room right near Temple Bar. Compact but exactly what paid for and more than satisfactory for one night. I came for the excellent FAI Cup final at the Aviva (well worth the trip for football fans) in doing so I needed to lose the hand luggage I had on me, so being able to leave this at the hotel was a huge bonus as its not always a given.
Room was slightly too warm given its size, not sure if there was a thermostat as I was late returning to my room but I opened the window slightly to counteract this. Not the hotels fault but nocturnal seagulls meant a night of broken sleep sadly, so might be worth noting. They made more noise than any punters to the Temple Bar area. The gap under the door like other reviews state is slightly too big so you do get the sound/light leak. Easy enough to sort though but worth noting. The price although is good for Dublin (not truly sure why the City is so expensive) is still not the cheapest (for a small room) in the grand scheme of things.

Stayed in an apartment above the Temple Bar complex, which was fully equipped and comfortable. Right in the centre of Temple Bar, walking distance to all we needed to do in central Dublin. Staff responsive to any issues. We are in Dublin regularly and will re-book in the future
No parking solutions - had to park some distance away and its expensive. If staying book car parking early to get it close by. Hotel did suggest solutions but all were full. Double glazing drowns out the noise to an extent but it was noisy outside, given the location not a surprise. Lots of stairs to the apartment, which was unexpected and tricky as I was there for work and had lots of luggage. We had a triple room, beds comfy but a bit narrow.
