In a good location and the staff are friendly. The Afternoon Tea is very nice.

The property states they have elevators and they do. However after getting off the elevator for room 452 there are no less than 5 sets of stairways that you must traverse to get to the room. One of the considerations when booking at this hotel was the elevator as my wife is unable to walk down the steps. The manager offered and I accepted another room that still required the use of 1 stairway. You must use stairways to get to the breakfast and also to get into the regular restaurant. Another issue that I had with the room is that there is no thermostat to control the temperature. We we uncomfortable with the room temperature the entire stay.

Loved the comfortable lounge area with Christmas tree, comfy chairs, free soft drink, newspapers and mints available . Staff very helpful and lovely. Good choice of breakfast and well cooked. Perfect location in centre of Dublin but still quiet and refined. Comfortable bed and pillows, pencil and pad and water in room, very clean and smelt nice.

Breakfast coffee the worst I've ever tasted the cappuccino was horrible. My room had no view, frosted glass and no slippers, robe or fridge but still a nice room and very clean . This isn't a complaint just being helpful!

Everything was great, but I have to say that the STAFF WAS IMPRESSIVE. Our concierge from Zimbabwe (I am so sorry that I didn't ask her name) was so welcoming and warm. Then our HERO, Octavio, bar keeper, luggage conveyor, and furniture mover extraordinaire, was wonderful. I chose the hotel because of the LOBBY where we could gather and relax, and it was beautiful. When we wanted to sit by the fire, Octavio moved big, heavy, wonderful chairs closer to it so we could all sit together. Then he served up delicious drinks and snacks for us weary travelers. Everyone was so gracious and kind. On our last night, we ate in the restaurant and Daisy and Vitao (? I think) were so informative and helpful in our selections of food and drink. Engaging with the people around me makes a huge difference in how I feel about a place. I want to know about them and let them know I appreciate what they're doing. The rooms were very comfortable and well appointed, but with that lobby (and the sun terrace!!!! yes I said SUN; we had perfect weather), I felt as if I were staying in a country house and just going up to my room to sleep at night. Double windows kept out almost all of the temple bar noise and I never found noise to be a problem as some have mentioned about the area.

The only thing I didn't like and IT'S A TINY ISSUE, was the music in the lobby. Maybe they don't expect people to be there as long as we were (like I said, I picked the hotel for the lobby), but the music was a soundtrack of piano music that wasn't to my taste, and even that I can ignore, but it was just a little buzzy in the speakers. I'm talking PERFECTION here, as it was just a little thing. I'm a musician and notice that stuff. Also, even with elevators, there are still stairs to navigate, so be sure to ask about that if there are mobility issues.

The location is a deal-breaker here! Right in the heart of the Temple bar district, so everything was close by. The lobby looks as posh as in the picture. This gives a nice vibe to the stay. The personel adds up to the vibe!Breakfasts were heavy, though a bit monotonous, as content does not vary much. The bathroom was freshly renovated, no mold at all!

We got both lucky and unlucky with the room. The window was not facing a busy street but it was very thin and covered with a non-transparent layer. And it was an industrial fan from a restaurant outside, working 24/7 and bringing some overfried food smell. Though we got used to the noise in a week, it was not the most pleasant experience. We either had to keep the window closed to have it a bit more quiet or to let some fresh air in.

We enjoyed our stay at The Fleet. It was a fantastic location in Dublin's city centre with many different eateries, supermarkets, shops and places nearby. Though it is located in a busy area, our room was very quiet with an exceptional bed and large bathroom. We were also able to cast our devices to the TV in the room, however I'm not sure if this feature is available for all rooms. Breakfast was fantastic with many different options in a very lovely dining space. The hotel's staff were very friendly and eager to help with any queries we had. We would definitely stay here again.

Though our room was fantastic, the bathroom was quite cold because it was very big with a large frosted window and perhaps would benefit with a heating option to accommodate for Dublin's often chilly climate! There was also no mini-fridge which made storing snacks and beverages a little more difficult.

Dublin is a difficult place to maneuver in, transportation wise. We rented a car to travel outside of Dublin and found out quickly, driving inside the city was a bigger challenge than we expected. Steering is on the right side of the car and the traffic flows opposite, so you're driving on the left side of the road. The roads are small, with many one-way routes and odd turns, so if you miss your turn or destination, you have to circle back around and do it all over, hoping to get it right. Parking is a challenge as well. Public transportation is everywhere, easy to access and I recommend using vs. a rental car. In saying all that, the Fleet Hotel is in a perfect location, just difficult to find, but once you do, you'll fall in love! We've been to numerous places all over Europe and United States and this hotel ranks second only to the Golden Adler in Austria! The lobby is more of a living space, where you can warm up by one of the two fireplaces inside and enjoy a cup of tea, Irish whiskey, beer, coffee, whatever tickles your fancy. The rooms are lovely and cozy! We left our window open all night to feel the brisk air and even though we were on a busy street, we heard very little (we also bring a noise machine wherever we go). To get to your room is quite a trick, there is an elevator; however, once you reach your floor it's like a maze, upstairs, downstairs, turn a corner, back downstairs, just follow the direction of your room number. It would be a challenge for someone who has difficulty climbing stairs. The floorboards and stairs creak when stepped on, which only added to the ambiance of this lovely old hotel. We enjoyed the mystery of it all - it was almost like a Harry Potter movie. The breakfast room gets busy after 9:00 am, so we tried to get there around 7. They have a good variety of breakfast choices and juices, but it's the same options every day. Staff members were 10 out of 10, very friendly and professional!

The ONLY thing I could think of that could be better is that the coffee was simply warm, halfway through the cup, it was room temp or even cold.

The location was beyond excellent - very central, yet at the quieter end of Temple Bar (I had no trouble sleeping; my room was on the 3rd floor and the only sounds I could hear were a few seagulls in the morning). I got a complimentary room upgrade which was a lovely surprise, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning - with ample choice. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the roaring fire in the lobby brought a cozy atmosphere.

I really don't have any negative feedback to share! If I was to nitpick, I would say that the Room Service staff not replenishing my coffee / tea / milk stash for two days in a row. In terms of coffee and tea, there was still plenty to go around, but I eventually ran out of milk. When I rang Reception, they sent somebody in immediately to bring me the little milk containers. No harm, no foul :). The elevator was a bit slow, and my room was quite a trek away - but, again, this did not bother me in the slightest.

Great location, waking distance to major Dublin sites and right by a major bus pickup area to catch the airport Dublin Express bus and city buses. Lobby is gorgeous, breakfast was very nice and had warm and cold options, attached restaurant was also very nice for dinner after a long tour day. Staff were extremely kind and helpful, from all areas of the hotel.

Room was pretty small but very clean, we had a room on the side with an alley, so could get pretty noisy at night. We had to close the window at night to provide some sound buffering, but still decently noisy even with that. Beds were ok, not the most comfortable but not horrible. Bathrooms only had one towel hook, needed more places to hang towels.

Excellent location and impressive lobby area. Breakfast was very good.

Some rooms have courtyard windows located close to the ventilation system of a neighboring restaurant, which produces loud noise. I unfortunately got what seemed to be the worst of these rooms. The management is well aware of this problem but continues to sell these rooms. While the neighbors that evening shut down the system at midnight, this is not always the case. The hotel provided another room for the second night, but the first evening left a bitter taste - while Booking.com showed alternative rooms were available, yet the reception claimed the hotel was fully booked.

Excellent location. So close to the city centre and all it offers. The parking garage across the street and down the block was very convenient. Hotel guests pay a discounted rate for the parking. The hotel lobby with the fireplace and all of the seating was so very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. If driving pease know that Fleet street, where the hotel is located, is a narrow street that may resemble an alley. You miss that turn and it'll be a good long while to make your way back.

If you have limited mobility be sure to let the hotel know. There is a lift to bring you to your floor but depending on where your room is located you may have to go up and down several small flights of stairs to get there.
