Location was superb. Right opposite Trinity college pedestrian gate. A short walk to the river. They were very accomodating in allowing us to leave our bags with them when we went around Ireland. It saved us from lugging them around all over with us. The inhouse bar is quite nice with a lovely sit out.

We had the Executive King room but the bedside tables were so tiny that we couln't even fit an ipad on it. Barely managed to fit the phone and that too, kept falling down. The staff at the reception seems to have serious attitude at check-in. We didn't experience that anywhere else in Ireland. We asked for sugar free with our tea in the room and the housekeeping staff had no idea what it was. They told us to go down to the bar to fetch it! Never heard of that one. The exercise room was out of order and they had set up arrangement with an external facility. Not very convenient.

While an older hotel it remains an inviting, peaceful, and comfortable place to stay due to the excellent location and a well-trained/conscientious hotel staff. The hotel staff is extremely engaging and an integral part of the Trinity Hotel experience. The Front Desk under the watchful eye of Brendan who is a remarkable host and very knowledgeable making him a stellar ambassador for the Trinity Hotel. Both Brendan and Delva go out of their way to make one feel welcome and are there to answer any question or solve any challenge one may have during their stay. Delva is a true professional who loves assisting guests. The Doorman, Kenneth, is always there to help with luggage, open doors, and arrange transport plus answer any inquiries about the local area. The breakfast is first-class and never disappoints. Linda always greets you with a smile and a cup of coffee at breakfast. Make certain you do the breakfast. Finally, Alberto in the dining area/bar is exceptional and introduced us to the evening dining. Plus, Alberto is an exceptional member of the wait staff who highlighted the new items on the menu. One great and pleasant surprise was the butternut squash soup that Alberto recommended. It was delightful.

The room was large and clean, TV worked (often in our hotels it doesn't!) The buffet breakfast was exceptional, the Irish pork sausage, bacon and scrambled egg were all very tasty. I'd like to have it again right now!

Traffic noise on Pearce St was too much as we had the window open (it was a very hot night) as the a/c unit was noisy, then the window literally wouldn't close properly. Following our request, for our second night we were moved to a room on the sixth floor on the other side - which had train noise, but at least that stopped at night! The shower temperature had to be set at totally cold to avoid being too hot, and the shower floor was very slippy. If it's your first stay at this hotel, good luck with finding the ground floor toilets...!

The location was within walking distance of Trinity College, The Temple Bar area, and access to public transportation anywhere else in Dublin was literally just across the street. There was even a "Hop On - Hop Off" bus stop there! Two wonderful local pubs were within a block walk as well! Couldn't have been better for us! Our room was more than comfortable. The beds and bedding were wonderful, and the cleanliness of the room and the entire hotel was superior to many others we have used. The bartenders, every one we met, were top-notch - friendly, very knowledgeable, and very professional. We only tasted the bar food, and it was well prepared and tasty. It was a 5oth Anniversary trip for my husband and I. When we first entered our room, our incredible housekeeper Marina had decorated it with a balloons, rose pedals, and two "towel" doves! What a thoughtful and appreciated gift! The concierges went out of their way to meet our needs as well - to the point where one crossed the street when our bus did not appear, called the company, and found a solution - far beyond the expected!

Don't let the outside facade fool you - it is a modern, extremely well-run hotel that is also quaint, charming and welcoming. the neighborhood, though busy, never felt unsafe. There is an active first responder facility within it's walls - with emergency vehicles and all - but it was never an issue.

It was easy to walk to the shopping areas and to the bars going toward Trinity College. The breakfast was delicious.

Going the other direction down Pearse Street was not so pleasant witnessing a man defecating on the steps of an establishment. But Bread 41 and our favorite tavern was in that direction. I didn't like how at the bar there was three different people waiting on you - one took the order, one brought the food, one brought the check. They weren't always in sync. Questions about our charge couldn't be answered until he found the person who took our order.

Room excellent - Location close to centre - Breakfast - A really good selection of food to suit all tastes.

Just one surprise, There is no sugar in the breakfast room to put on your cereal. There are sugar lumps for your coffee but the only other option was Candrel . I don't like sweetener being forced on me, (apart from thinking it tastes awful.) The rest of the hotel has real sugar so why not the breakfast room. . Even so, I will stay there again, even if I have to bring my own sugar The evening menu did not suit me, but then you can't please everyone and there are lots of places to eat in Dublin.

Great location, beautiful rooms, fabulous breakfast, hospitable bar with good cocktails, solid tap list, good wine selection. Place managed to feel upscale but welcoming. Perfect location. There isn't a lot of character here, it feels like you've stepped into a period drama, but it was comfortable, the staff were extremely kind and helpful. I wanted to have a drink in the public areas and read after a day of sightseeing and before dinner. Excellent place.

They should have had more bar staff? that is the only conceivable complaint I might be able to make up, since you're asking.

Location was very good and breakfast was wonderful. The staff at breakfast was extremely accommodating to try to get whatever we asked for, even if it wasn't on the menu.

Seemed a little sketchy outside our hotel. Nothing that I was over concerned about. There were tents on the other side of the street with homeless squatting. We saw several drug deals not right outside of the hotel, but just down the street. Dublin felt more like New York in the 80's.

Really good location next to Trinity College, it was just a few minutes walk from the Dublin Express stop Very nice personnel Cannot comment about other rooms but suite was really spacious and well equipped Good breakfast (except coffee) We had a concern about fire station located in the same building but surprisingly we were not disturbed in the night

Location is not that convenient if you plan to travel further with a train and want to use public transportation to get to the station Room had a cumbersome AC control system with unclear symbols on the display so it took us couple of hours to understand how to enable heating

Room very clean and bed comfortable. Excellent choice available for breakfast. Excellent location, a short walk to Pearce train station and across the road from the bus stop for the Dublin Express from the Airport, a short walk to Trinity College and Temple Bar.

No real negatives, think a few more staff needed as found at times difficult to get someone's attention in between courses when we ate in bar/reception area, it was also a bit cold when eating there as the doors were open all the time, but we just wore jumpers. The staff work extremely hard.
