The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The staff was very helpful and professional. The location was excellent.
The Ginger Man pub across the street is getting significant traffic right now because of their Christmas display. The noise from this bar was considerable and continued until the bar closed. On the 5th floor, the noise from the bar could be heard over the TV with the window closed. Then, promptly at 6:30 am on weekday mornings, the construction crew directly below gets started. Once Christmas is over and the construction is over, more than 7 hours of quiet will be possible, and I have no real complaints about the hotel otherwise.

The location in Dublin was convenient for travel to some sights of interest. The local park was great for a midday food truck meal during the week between Tuesday and Thursday. In addition to the good location the hotel has a pillow menu - which is great as my partner has opinions on pillows and we were able to get her a better option to sleep with for her stay (I believe the have 6-8 different pillow options). The hotel is one of three in the area that share an exclusive gym for hotel guests with excellent cardio and weight training equipment. The gym layout, size and weight training equipment was excellent. That gym and the amazing hospitality of the hotel staff earned them a 10/10 for our stay in Dublin. We would gladly stay there again.
We had no complaints for the stay we had at the Davenport.

The room was nice and overall we had a great stay! It was low season so the hotel was pretty quiet, however there was construction going on outside our room so that was a bit of a disturbance. The parking garage that was just down the road was very convenient and not too expensive for the city. The bed was comfy but the room was very hot at night and no matter what we put the thermostat on, it was still hot. My only suggestion would be to add conditioner to the toiletries provided and switch body lotion to an option without a nut oil in it, that could be very dangerous to someone with a nut allergy! the restaurant connected to the hotel did not seem open when we were there but the lounge was.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in early February to visit family in Ireland. The hotel is easy to find and within walking distance of the Dublin Express bus stop. We arrived at 10:30 with the intention of dropping our bags off and going out. The person on reception checked with house keeping and they confirmed a room was available so we were able to check in early than the advertised 16:00. The person on reception also recommended a restaurant close by. We were able to leave our bags with them on our last day after check in whilst we went out and visited more places until we were ready to leave for the airport. We stayed in a King room on the first floor and the rooms are very spacious, very clean. They have an iron and board in the room as standard. Everything about the room was spot on. The staff at breakfast on both days went above and beyond to make sure we were catered for because we are vegan and vegetarian. They had rice crispies for cereal and they cooked us a couple of vegan sausages and a mushroom pancake that was delicious. They had hash browns already out. All of the staff were very friendly asking what plans we had, how our stay was. They are very customer focused and you feel they care about how people are doing during their stay there. Overall a fantastic stay, everything about the hotel and staff is first class. I would highly recommend staying here and the location of the hotel is ideal for shops, restaurants and all of the best places to visit - all within walking distance.
Everything was perfect.

Liked the location - everything more or less walking distance. Supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, shopping centres all within easy reach. The staff were extremely helpful when suggesting breakfast ideas. With it being over the festive period they also gave us complimentary late check out and made our stay very relaxing and easy. All staff really kind and didn’t ever come across like anything was a hassle. They have a spa area being fitted in at the end of this year - possibly a reason to revisit!
The gym is located over the road- not an issue to be honest as it is well equipped and easy to locate with key card. Did have to ask reception for our room to be cleaned on the 1st January, but to be honest we didn’t really leave the room that day with nothing being opened. Breakfast finishes at 10:30. We didn’t realise this and had to rush and take food to the hotel room on the morning we paid extra for this. The restaurant menu is very basic in the evenings. BUT the food was such good quality and me and my partner emptied both our plates!

We were impressed by the staff and the general planning & management of the hotel during storm Eowyn. We were kept informed & staff stayed overnight to ensure there was adequate staffing to maintain the hotel. They must have been exceedingly busy but were cool under fire. The staff were welcoming & professional, the hotel location, rooms, breakfast, bar & bar food were all great. Coffee pods in the rooms were awesome. We loved the decor as well. We would stay again.
The bed was uncomfortable and sagging. We are continually disappointed by the European practice of pushing two beds together to make a "Double" bed or "King" bed. It inevitably leads to one of the guests falling into the crack between beds.

Staff were excellent and pleasant. . Rocelin, sorry for the spelling but can't remember how to spell her name was exceptional. We were given an upgrade, pass to executive lounge and bags brought to our rooms. Birthday box of chelated left for my partner, lovely touch and the room was fab with very comfortable bed. Breakfast very good. Couldn't fault the staff or accommodation in any area.Definatly recommend it
Bar closed too early. Went back to hotel at 10.40 sat night and bar was closed. Staff did get us a bottle of wine which was very nice of them but would have liked to have a choice of drink and relax in the bar for an hour. Maybe advise people at check in that this is the case

Huge bed, very nice bathroom, good selection of tea coffee, good amenities. Bed was comfortable 4 pillows nice comfortable chairs, good size tv.
Sadly they had some construction worker starting to bang around at 7am both days I stayed and they stopped in about 45 mins but it was annoying to have to wake up to that. I understand the receptionist called them to ask for a later start but originally they were supposed to start work at 10am so no idea why they were loud at 7am. But I’m sure this is temporary

Perfect location, walking distance to all the main attractions in the city and some nice bars, restaurants close by so you don't have to go to far if you don't fancy walking. Staff are excellent and even arranged a complimentary late checkout for us.
What I was very surprised with was how early the bar closed to, last orders at 10:30 and bar was closed by 11:00. Not great if you have been out all day and just want to go back and chillout in your hotel residence bar. For a hotel such as the Davenport I was very surprised with this.

Reception staff were the friendliest and most accommodating staff I have encountered at any hotel. Beds were extremely comfortable. Location excellent.
Breakfast was good. There was nobody at the breakfast room door when we arrived for breakfast so we went ahead and joined other family members who were already seated. I felt this was frowned upon as we didn't get the same service afforded to us as other tables got such as tea and toast or take away tea/ coffee. We were asked for our room number so it wasn't a case we were undetected.
