A Truly Exceptional Stay at The Merrion Hotel I stayed at The Merrion for 3 days and it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff are incredibly discreet, kind, and genuinely make you feel special. The level of service is outstanding. The breakfast is absolutely amazing, and the bed was hands down the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. I didn’t try lunch or dinner, so I can’t comment on that, but the outdoor terrace is a lovely spot for an apéritif. The gym is quiet, very clean, and well-equipped, and the pool feels truly luxurious. Finally, the location is ideal – central, but peaceful. I can’t recommend this hotel enough for anyone looking for a refined and relaxing stay in Dublin.

I absolutely loved everything about the Fabulous Amazing Merrion Hotel. The staff are exceptional, they make it look so easy and their attention to every detail is Outstanding. Fiona, John, Raveen, Robert, Michelin and all of the Amazing staff at the Merrion we Thank You so much for making our stay so special and memorable. My sister Olga had the most fabulous wonderful Birthday in the Merrion. We loved every minute of it. We are so looking forward to returning. I highly recommend the luxurious and divine Merrion hotel, with the most Welcoming , Caring, Kind, Thoughtful, Helpful and Friendly staff ❤️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What is there to not like?

Everything - the staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are fabulous, spacious and fabulously comfortable. Food in the hotel is first class.

We ate in the excellent Patrick Gilbauy restaurant, the food was sensational. A very small gripe was we asked for a bottle of the house white wine that we had drunk in the bar, it was a very pleasant French Sauvignon, the waiter said that wasn't available in this restaurant and offered a similar wine that was 143 euros ! We ended up with a New Zealand Sauvignon - Framingham which was a very reasonable 75 euros ! That aside everything was fabulous

A very elegant hotel, undoubtedly, although we are glad that we spent only one night there, because the luxury and modernity of another 5 star hotel in Dublin we stayed the second night also made a huge impression on us, it's up to you what you like, if you prefer a noble hotel or more modern but definitely the Merrion will be one of our favorites in Dublin. The building is very noble, inside there is a beautiful garden that delights in summer, and in winter it is simply there, the staff took great care of us, the room was very comfortable, the bed too.

The restaurant is good but not outstanding.

Everything was just great! I celebrated my birthday here with friends, and we were blown away by the experience. Both restaurants were absolutely incredible — the two Michelin-starred Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud offers a fine dining experience like no other, while The Garden Room was perfect for a more relaxed yet still exceptional meal. The atmosphere, service, and attention to detail made this stay truly memorable. The hotel's facilities were also fantastic. We enjoyed relaxing in the cozy Drawing Rooms with their open log fires and treated ourselves to some amazing cocktails at No 23. The Merrion Spa and Health Club was a peaceful oasis where we made the most of the pool and sauna. I highly recommend this hotel for a special occasion or just a luxurious getaway. I will definitely return if I’m back in Dublin

I loved everything about my stay! The restaurants were incredible, especially Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was warm and welcoming. The spa and pool area were also very relaxing, making the whole experience perfect. Highly recommend!

We were very impressed by the little "additional" touches, such as the band to hold the cables from my charger box and spectacles cloth, because the staff had noted that the cables were dangling loose and we both wore spectacles. Reception, concierge and doormen were all very helpful in giving us directions and getting taxis. The room was spacious, clean and very well equipped. We enjoyed a meal in The Garden Room and were presented with a "Congratulations" plate of cake and fruit, as we were celebrating our 55th wedding anniversary (Emerald), in the Emerald Isle. Overall, we had a most enjoyable few days.

Everything! from the moment we walked into the hotel lobby you knew that you were going to enjoy the stay here The staff were helpful, very friendly and consummate professionals. Public spaces were very comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the garden area and being able to relax with drinks or snacks Our bedroom was supremely comfortable with all the amenities plus that one could want together with lots of little personal touches including little bon bons (to die for!) Everywhere was extremely clean Loved the atmosphere in the Cellar Bar. We returned from a late concert and amazed to find we could order snacks here until 1230 am! This hotel is obviously managed by a team who truly know what they are doing and their guests want!!

The Merrion never fails to deliver, the staff, the comfort, the attention to detail, all of it. The gift of a perfumed candle for our anniversary from the management was a lovely surprise. Breakfast was delicious. Thanks for a truly great stay.

Nothing at all. It was glorious. If I could put a helpful hint though, a little bottle or carton of fresh milk in the fridge would be brilliant instead of the usual milk capsules. That would be just wonderful.

Great facilities and location

45 minute queue for breakfast. We were told by staff that this was normal because it was a Sunday morning… There were other areas within the hotel that breakfast could have been offered, which would have saved our waiting time, and surely if this was standard for a Sunday, as was suggested by reception staff, then the demand should be anticipated with a plan in place. Also, just want to say that this was our 3rd time staying, and we had never experienced such a delay at breakfast before…

The staff were all polite and courteous, very helpful & professional. The room was clean , the bed very comfortable. Excellent location. The sauna and shower facilities were great to have after the marathon when a late check out couldn’t be facilitated.

Expensive. I booked the room almost a year in advance for €505. I spoke to another guest who booked the same type of room for the same night less than a week ago for €80 cheaper. I’ve stayed in this hotel many times, but this will put me off as a 1st choice from staying here again.
