Great location, small rooms fit for purpose. Environmentally conscious

We have used wren urban nest every time we visit Dublin and it seems the standards have dropped this time, dust gathered in the room. Hot and cold tap on the wrong way around, broken bin in bathroom and host at reception was quite abrupt in the evening

Great location once we found it tucked away in a back street. Quiet during the night apart from the recycling vehicle clattering the bottles. Three really good nights sleep.

Staff seemed a little preoccupied with “chatting “ very little interaction when guests arriving or leaving the hotel, apart from check-in. Considering it’s a “one off eco hotel” very surprised there’s no plug in the bathroom sink, being a traditional shaver, I had to leave the hot tap running whilst shaving, not very eco! Breakfast service good, again not very attentive once seated though. Room very small, although contained all the usual amenities expected in a room, bed a little bit of a challenge unless you’re an Olympic gymnast. Reading about the fire curtains in the rooms, little concerning if you’re in the know.

Location was great! Although to have to walk down the stairs with luggage to check-in isn't fun. The rooms are lovely, good facilities, and well organized with storage under the bed, which helps make the room feel a little larger. the restaurant and bar feels welcoming. Staff are a little hit and miss. Sometimes lovely and sometimes dismissive.

A minor concern; -A cleaning person removed the spare room card from the room, which felt like a security concern. -It was quite a lengthy process to organize a take away coffee in the morning. The staff behind the counter ignored another couple and I, to continue chatting with a colleague. When we finally ordered, the staff member did not know how to make the coffee, or put the payment through the till. There were only a couple of us looking to get takeaway coffee and not many people in the breakfast room at 9:15am ish, but the staff seemed like they couldn't really be bothered with service.

The hotel was very nicely set up! The rooms were cozy, small but sufficient, clean, modern. We loved the fact that this place was environmentally friendly, promoting sustainability. It unfortunately isn't the easiest to find, as it is along an off-road. However, once you were able to find the location, it was easy to come back to. I found it safe, though it is quieter around the area, a few streets from the more touristy areas. This ended up being to our liking, as it was nice and quiet when going to bed. Their black out curtains were the best to help acclimate to the time change!

Perfectly located for explore central Dublin! It felt like almost everything we wanted to do and see was always only a 5-10 minute walk away. Yet it was still fairly quiet despite being close by to pubs and restaurants. The price was also the most reasonable we could find for our dates. Everyone who worked there was very friendly.

Bed was quite short (if you’re taller than 6’0), also the channel offerings on the TV were quite limited and Chrome Cast didn’t work. These did not significantly impact our trip though and are more small nice to have things.

Modern, Scandinavian vibes Lovely breakfast and perfect size of room for me

There were a few small things that could’ve been improved. I noticed a plaster covering the TV signal port, which I had to remove myself — thankfully it was unused, but it’s something housekeeping should have picked up on. There was also an old notebook with chocolate left behind in the tea-making area (inside the fold-out kettle cupboard), which was a bit off-putting. Lastly, there were no bins provided in the room, which made tidying up a little inconvenient.

This is our second time staying here and this time our kids & their partners came too! We had three rooms, each for three nights while we explored Dublin and attended the Iowa State football game at Aviva Stadium. The rooms are small, but well-appointed (like a ship’s cabin) with room for everything. We love that it’s a very eco-friendly place to stay too! The biggest draw of the Wren Urban Nest is the location — it is literally in the middle of EVERYthing in Dublin!

My only dislike on this trip was that prices were REALLY jacked up (lots of Americans in town for the Iowa State vs. K-State game + a Robbie Williams concert) meant that the law of supply & demand kicked in because available lodging in Dublin was scarce.

Location is great. It is easy to walk in all directions to many tourist spots! The restaurant is fantastic and I must say I enjoyed the absolutely best fish & chips I've ever had!!!!

I knew the room was going to be small, and I read reviews and looked at pictures , but confess, I really didn't realize just how small! It was very difficult to unpack and get situated, and nowhere to hang clothes. I eventually just draped my hanging clothes on a pull-down bar thing (no hangers) that was on the wall. I think this hotel could take lessons from cruise ships! There is wall space above the bed that could easily have housed overhead cabinets! View was non-existent; laneway/other bldgs and rooftops.

5 minute walk from Temple Bar - so nice and close, but away from all the noise. Hair dryer provided in the room. Mini fridge also provided, although has drinks in it, I was able to put some waters in. Shower has two different shower heads, a waterfall head and a normal one. Soaps etc smell lovely. Filter water station on corridor of the floor. Breakfast was buffet style. Hotel was lovely and clean, the staff were always very helpful. Located near Georges Street Market and some other shops which is great, If I was visiting Dublin again, I would consider staying here if it was available.

Breakfast - it says in the lift to tell staff if you're veggie, but I think the server could have asked also when you wait for a table, they ask if you want a hot drink at this time, so why not ask if you have any allergies or dietary requirements? The panel to control the lighting / curtains over complicated a simple step of flicking a light switch.

Hotel was ideally located, close to Temple Bar area, Trinity College and Grafton Street to name a few. You're also approx. a mile from Connelly station and pick up points for bus trips. Despite its quite central location, it wasn't noisy and seems well protected from outside noise. The overall room was clean and well designed to optimise on space. The rooms are slightly smaller than other hotel rooms but I think even for two people it's a comfrotable enough size. The bed was comfortable and a good size. I slept incredibly well even on the first night. For those sharing a bed, you can only get in one side. The shower was perfect and had really good pressure to it. I had a little fridge in my room and it was spacious enough to store water, fruit, yoghurt, and other beverages. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was an ideal base for a Dublin visit.
