Breakfast was excellent and there was no pressure to vacate the table etc which was lovely. Spa facilities were good. Bedroom was beautiful. The staff was friendly and attentive. Although I didn’t have my dog it’s a lovely dog friendly hotel. The grounds are amazing.
The old part of the hotel was very cold so really not conducive to sitting with a glass of wine, and it was completely inaccessible due to a wedding on the Saturday. We were told fires aren’t allowed due to the protected building. So maybe other old hotels just break the rules, but it was a shame not to be able to sit in the beautiful old part of the hotel. The only available bar is basically in the lobby as the whiskey library is in the old building, and when not off limits it closes early. The food in Kathleen’s Kitchen was good but overpriced in my opinion.

Fleck in was quick and easy, lots of staff available, rooms were really nice and spacious
We ate in the carriage house with a very limited menu but this could be due to xmas, also hotel took 100 euro deposit which i wasn’t expecting and this takes 4-5 days to be refunded

A beautiful property , well located , room was nice , shower good , bed good , facilities as to be expected for a hotel that costs what it costs , a really beautiful setting , it was very quiet and peaceful even though the hotel was at full capacity.
We didn't dine in the hotel , we ordered breakfast in the room on both mornings , coffee was cold , different things were missing from the breakfast , like bread... sugar... some of the required cutlery... small things but annoying as it takes from the overall enjoyment of the stay... mostly a good breakfast but cold coffee and no sugar with no spoon to eat the granola is frustrating.....

The hotel lobby and grounds are beautiful and spacious. The staff are extremely warm and friendly. The grounds offers many beautiful walks. The rooms are comfortable and very quiet. We had a lovely garden view with is own patio. We will certainly be back
Cocktails and whiskey are waayyy over priced. 18€ for a cocktail which in my order only has 1 measure of alcohol and 8.80 for a jameson and on top there is also vat/tax charged on both. In a time of relaxation a customer would hate to feel gouged on prices especially when the hotel, staff and rooms are so exquisite.

I’ve to this hotel before and I honestly love it here. It is so beautiful inside and out. Staff are so welcoming, rooms are so comfortable, clean and modern. Food is beautiful in the carriage room. Waiters can make you any cocktail of your choice. I love it because it is slightly out of Dublin City, so there is that sense of it being slightly quieter. However there was a great buzz when we were there. One of my favourite hotels close to Dublin!
We had breakfast previously in a beautiful room inside the hotel but it was moved to the carriage room on this occasion. I definitely think the other room added to our experience, having breakfast in such a picturesque grand room was amazing.

Right from we arrived we had a great experience. Liam met us at the gates as the Women's Irish Open was on- he was jovial & chatty. Konstantina at reception was lovely, quickly checking all details & explaining a few things. Our room was lovely with a huge tv & a bath & shower in a good sized bathroom. We had our evening meal in Kathleen's Kitchen- a unique location...the old kitchen was great. The staff were lovely & helpful...the food, all 3 courses divine! We received a complimentary champers for our anniversary. Breakfast was also excellent back in Kathleen's Kitchen. We used the pool, jacuzzi & steam room in the spa. Despite the golf competition the atmosphere was relaxed & in fact we used our complimentary tickets to watch a bit & we went on the red & yellow walks around the grounds.
Nothing...my wife an alternative to mash as a potato side order! LOL

I enjoy running. Running and walking around the vast, beautiful property was exceptional. The scent of the lobby upon entering was magical. First impressions: awestruck.
It would have been wonderful to have had some more (any) vegan options on the room service menu. I ordered steamed vegetables, which regrettably came drenched in butter. Just some salads and a few other clearly labelled items would have been brilliant.

Arrival was excellent - very attentive and pleasant staff in concierge and reception. Room was nice (nothing outstanding but what I expected). Food in Kathleens Kitchen and The Carriage House was excellent.
Service at breakfast wasn't at the standard I would have expected, we had to ask to order our food (there were plenty of staff around but none paying attention to our table/section), then separately had to ask for butter, salt and cutlery. Breakfast order for one of the two people was missing an item so we had to wait for that. The room was a bit dated, with a very visible crack in the toilet bowl and the mini fridge did not close properly.

Very relaxing , beautiful views & the staff were phenomenal , especially sally Anna Morgan who continued to go the extra mile for us. Breakfast in Kathleen's Kitchen was amazing.
Very dark bedroom due to there being no ceiling lights. 2 lamps in our room also did not work. Our evening meal in Kathleen's kitchen was very disappointing , I ordered the brisket which came with mash & it was cold , it went away & came back with warm meat & still the mash was cold so I ended up not eating , that is pretty poor for this sort of establishment. It seems the guys under the head chef got it bang on but the head chef himself was struggling to achieve perfection.

Overall, our stay was fabulous. The spa, treatments, bedrooms, walks, restaurants, golf and facilities were all amazing. I also noted that our check in was particularly great, and the lady was so helpful and friendly!
The service around the bar area was actually terrible. We waited sometimes over an hour for a drink, I cannot tell you how many times we had to repeat our order to different servers, only for the wrong drinks to arrive 20-30 minutes later. It was beyond embarrassing for a 5* hotel. We also collectively agreed that we would have spent 100s more on drinks over the 2 nights had the service not been so slow. We got to the stage where we just left but a huge missed opportunity for the Fairmont.
