Sometimes when you read the word 'budget' there can be a sense of trepidation. But in this case it was budget on the unnecessary things and really well done on the important ones. Like a comfortable bed. Like a working reverse cycle air con unit. Like the cleanliness of the room and everything in it. Sure, the decor was basic and the floor covering was not carpet, but it was in good condition and.....it was clean. I have a habit of looking at the air con filters, because they are generally gross. These were clean as a whistle. Something I've not seen in some more expensive hotels. Kettle, coffee, tea etc provided, tv (with working remote!), really good wi-fi (as this is an Accor hotel so sign up for free), functional clean bathroom area and a quiet, safe and friendly hotel that was well worth the price for the location.

Could have done with a lift for the older folks. But as there were only three floors, the stairs weren't that bad.

Dog friendly. Staff absolutely amazing. Clean, neat and being in almost the very first suburb in Canberra coming in from the north, I think its in an excellent location. The grounds outside were great for taking our boy for a walk and it had a very friendly atmosphere in and around the Office/Kitchen/Dining area. Great heating, which was very needed. Good bed.

Cubicle bathroom. Quaint room in size. TV needs a total re-tune of the stations, it was pretty useless. No hand basin in bathroom, too small. Needs some hooks and a few more level surfaces to store some of your things.

To the nice and pleasant gentleman who checked me in at 6:40 pm on March 29th, I simply want to express gratitude for the excellent customer service. You made the whole thing quite simple. I appreciate your excellent service; it did not go unnoticed. We need more people like you. You are an asset to the business. Thank you. The accommodation was pleasant and tidy; the bed was enormous and comfy. And heaps of parking for the guests. The breakfast consisted of granola oats, yoghurt, and spread for toast. At a cost of eleven dollars or so, it was good. The young woman who checked me out today was lovely. If I'm ever in Canberra, I'll stay here again. Thanks.

This reflects a suggestion rather than a complaint. A large vent opening exists above the shower. It may be good to cover up it. Cheers.

Plenty of carparking. Checkin was easy and all staff were lovely and friendly.. Most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. Easily accessible, lovely and quiet, and not far out of the Canberra city area. The rooms are cosy, not big or anything spectacular, but as the name states, it's budget accommodation. Perfect to stay when you're out most of the day and only need somewhere to sleep and get ready. This will remain my place to stay when visiting Canberra for short breaks.

Small amount of mildew on silicon in shower area, but it's a lot less than I've seen at more expensive hotels. Wifi didn't always work, but there is an option to upgrade. Neither of these affected our stay though.

Great location. Plenty of parking. Clean and tidy. Comfortable queen bed. Quiet motel. Best nights sleeping for 3x night stay. Fluffy towels and good linen. Tea and coffee making in room. Choice of aircon or heater in room. Aircon kept us cosy. Staff welcoming and efficient. Breakfast available extra cost next to Reception. Amusement and entertainment pamphlets at Reception. Laundry available. Snack machine in lobby.

Aircon filters need to be checked and cleaned above the room windows. TV was dark hard to watch on all channels. Many TV channels missing. We could not correct TV screen lighting either. Realised to late on last night that TV must be in MOTEL MODE?.. or TV dying.?... or needs to be replaced?

For a budget motel, it is excellent value for money.

The facilities need to be improved. In particular, there is a serious trip hazard in the tiny bathroom. For example, there needs to be a grab bar for safety (a major risk if someone needs to stop themselves falling over). Also, it should be possible to fit a small step into the shower recess to prevent the water flooding the toilet area. I’m a university professor who taught occupational health and safety. I would encourage the owners to get a professional assessment to improve the overall safety of the property.

The staff were absolutely fantastic, so helpful and friendly. Knowledgeable about the area. The staff made our stay so good ! The location to the Australian War Memorial, shopping centres etc is fantastic The rooms are small but comfortable and an easy continental breakfast with pancakes is available, they also have toasted sandwiches and pizzas available for snacks.

No where to hang anything, Canberra being very cold it would be great to have more than 3 hooks to hang jackets etc The hand/wash basin is in the bedroom and the toilet and shower are like a cruise bathroom. It’s strange at first but it’s not too bad

Breakfast was good enough to start a day. The staff that helped with the check-in is friendly and efficient. The morning staff assisting with the breakfast is very nice, ever with a friendly smile and also helped to make us the coffee.

Bathroom was small. The room is good enough for just an overnight stay with a short visit to the Capital.

Basic but did the job. :-) Friendly staff, nice location. Nice duck pond near by and nice public park near by and located in a very small outer suburb with nice trees and view of mont majura at the edge of city, semi rural outlook was nice, but still a quick trip into Dickson nearby with lots of shops.

Given it's a budget hotel no complaints as you get what you pay for.

Such a great and beautiful place to stay and the staffs was very friendly and so helpful even though I needed to change my date of booking. The gentleman helped me out to change my booking to a suitable time and date. Overall was a good experience and definitely will stay again. The room somehow quite small for 2 of us and a 6 years old boy but it was reminded us of our childhood nice and cosy.
