I don't think I've ever given a full 10 points to a hotel before but this place truly deserves it. Everything was new, modern, clean and exceeded our expectations. Great location in the city center and it had everything you would need for a stay in Bolzano. Despite the central location, we had no issues with noise from the street.

The only negative thing was that it said on their website that they don't store your luggage before/after check in/out which we found unusual since they have a reception area. However, it turned out that we were in fact able to leave our suitcases with them for a few hours after checking out so all good in the end :)

The whole package - location couldn't be more central in Bolzano - front entrance straight onto the main shopping street in the town. The apartments were super clean, super comfortable, nice and dark with the electric shutters. The balcony looking out of town towards one set of mountains - gorgeous! Once we found the underground parking garage entrance, there was space and the €20 for overnight parking was quickly seen as a bargain! It was so clean you could almost have eaten your dinner off the floor! Outside noise was barely heard and the fact that we had AC in the room a huge bonus as the daily temps were up in the 30's. Proper Nespresso style coffee machine in the room, plus fridge, microwave, plates bowls and cutlery and a lounge area. Awesome!

The only thing and I mean the only one that was a pain was trying to get to the correct road with the parking garage on it. There is so much construction going on for the winter Olympics this winter, that some roads were blocked, and others were unfortunately one way (in the wrong direction for where we needed to go) - so we did circle around a fair bit until we finally managed to get on the right road. Mr Google maps helped somewhat, but I guess he's not quite up to date!

The Palais Hortenberg exceeded all expectations. The location is absolutely perfect—10 out of 10. All major attractions are just a short walk away. The reception staff were warm and welcoming, and the apartment was spotless upon arrival. The facilities were very comfortable, and the balcony was a real highlight—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Everything a traveler might need for a short stay was provided and more. For longer stays, a few extra kitchen items such as plates, knives, forks, and other utensils would make things even more convenient.

We had an excellent 1 night stay !!! Our room and bathroom was very spacious and overlooked the pedestrian street below — the soundproofing was amazing because we couldn’t hear a thing from the outside or from the hotel reception . The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the air conditioning was very very very much appreciated and awesome. The front desk people were helpful and friendly as well! The location was also great, it was right there in the centrale of Bolzano, many restaurants, and cute streets to wander around right there. Highly recommend!!

The location was so central and everything was super clean. Loved the terrace and the fact that there was a sliding door between the bedroom and living room, more like two separate rooms.

They got our kids’ ages wrong and had two cots done up instead of doing up the sofa bed for our two teenagers! They did however send two staff members to rectify. Also, it would have been easier and nicer hd the reception been still open at 21:30 when we arrived. We knew we’d have to let ourselves in but it’s a pity they don’t stay open till later.

This building has apparently been very recently renovated ( last works going on, but not intrusive) and despite its location on a prime shopping street we found it very quiet and peaceful. The studio we had was spacious and well equipped, with hanging and storage space as well as a table & chairs and seating. Good walk-in shower. Breakfast can be had by arrangement with a local cafe and was waiter served. There are cups and a coffee machine, so for a longer stay, the possibility of self catering exists.

We found the key code access a bit confusing ( one for first arrival and then another for the studio) and all lights etc are controlled by touch pads with symbols and not switches. It’s an age thing……

Very large, modern room and bathroom, huge and comfortable bed, nice patio outside the room. Tasteful furnishings and decorations. There are basic dishes and cutlery in the room for having a drink or a snack. Super clean. Friendly and helpful staff. There is parking just below the building which is very convenient. Located right in the center, there is also a large supermarket just opposite the hotel entrance. Easy to follow check-in instructions.

The parking price of EUR 25 per day is quite expensive, it could be a little cheaper for guests who are already paying for the rooms.

Nice and very modern apartment layout. No sink outside the bathroom and no real kitchenette facilities but there was a table and couch. Plus a balcony so we ate food inside and out but cleaning up was a bit of nuisance. Great parking and great location for walks into town or along the river.

Italian dryers do not compete with US ones. The shared one downstairs would not dry our clothes so we hung them out on the balcony.

The room was very nice, well decorated and comfortable. Access to the hotel and to the room was with a code number. You could have cooked your own meals in the kitchen (except we didn't find any cutlery), and there was a coffee pod machine and a kettle as well as coffee and tea bags. The location was great, right in the old town next to archaeological museum. Beds (even the sofa bed) and bedding were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked great. The shower was very luxurious and nice. The view was amazing, great for a breakfast in the balcony! Hotel offered additional services such as a spa with additional price and possibility to do your own laundry for free.

The price was fairly high, but didn't include breakfast. The service could have been a bit more friendly. The curtains were quite sheer which could bother some people.
