I enjoyed my bathtub,my robe,my multiple daily cleaned towels the room was cleaned to a high standard as was the turn down service at night with water and chocolate. The varied breakfast, coffee of any kind was offered,as were the cakes..loved the daily apero in the lobby and the entire desk staff were all fantastic kind and accommodating w every request. The entire staff would accomplish any request in a speedy professional excellence. On arrival the porter delivered my bags to my room before I entered. An amazing experience worth every penny. Location location location. I loved everything.

iIt s a small and chic hotel located 5 minutes walk from the Duomo, Uffizi and 10 minutes from the Pitti Palace. If you come by car you have to drive through the narrow and crowded streets, carefully to the front of the hotel where they take you to the garage. The rooms are chic, clean, well insulated from the noise outside. Breakfast consists of 3-4 cheese specialties, ham, smoked salmon, boiled or scrambled eggs, some fruits, vegetables 3-4 types of bread, several types of cakes, coffee varieties, yogurts and milk. It is repetitive but varied enough to find something suitable. At 5:30 pm, prosecco and natural juices are offered in the small lounge for free. We found a nice room next to the breakfast room where you could serve the above. We felt very good and recommend it!

Great location to all of the typical historical sites and museums. Staff was excellent. Breakfast was well laid out and plenty of items to choose from. Our room was on the 2nd floor and it was big (we had a family room with one K and a Twin) that overlooked the street which we found not too loud at all. Overall quality was very good.

Very small item but the awning at the front door was in poor condition. A significant amount of black tape was being used to keep it up. Perhaps they have plans in place to spend the $$ to get in good shape, like the rest of the hotel. Not a big deal, but first impressions can sometimes be important.

The hotel location is perfect in the center of florence.the hotel is very clean the service is amazing the front desk are very helpful and they speak English, Mr Oneste the manager very efficient you see him every where he also looks after the breakfast buffet, the ladys who serve breakfast are very happy to help Habiba, Silvia and Beatric working hard to please the guests they are always smiling I wish them good luck. We stayed ten days and wish to stay more thanks to the good manager Mr.Oneste and to the staff of the hotel.

This hotel, in my opinion, is one of the best hotels in Florence. Located in the heart of city, within walking distance to all the major attractions in Florence and walking distance to just about everything else. Cleanliness was superb! The rooms are beautifully decorated, modern and new. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts each morning in the Breakfast Room were also outstanding. Many different items to choose from (eggs. bacon, sausage, croissants, oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit, Italian sweets, juices, etc.) There is something to eat for everyone! I requested in my reservation a room on a higher floor, a room with a walk-in shower in the bathroom (no bathtub due to a knee issue I have) and, if possible, a room with views of The Duomo. They gave me EVERYTHING I requested. Our room was absolutely FABULOUS in every aspect! They are VERY meticulous in their daily cleaning, 2 times per day they come to clean your room, change out the towels to fresh towels, empty the garbages, etc. They also give you each evening 2 bottles of water, free of charge. Each evening, they come back to your room around 8pm to turn down the beds for you, leave you cozy slippers to wear and some delicious chocolates on your pillow. I really LOVED & ENJOYED this hotel. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again should I ever return to Florence, Italy for another vacation. The Front Desk Staff is extremely gracious and warm in welcoming you to their hotel and assisting you in any way that they can. If you are looking for a 4/5 star hotel in Florence, don't look any further. Book Hotel Calzaiuoli. You will not be disappointed.

On occasion, the bathroom would have what appeared to be a "sewer" odor. Nothing extreme. But, from time to time, when you would go inside to use the bathroom, you would get a whiff of a "sewer' odor. But, honestly, the odor was not there all the time, just on occasion you could smell it. But, nothing that would put a damper on the hotel room itself.

The location was everything! Absolutely fantastic. And this was important, since everything was within 15 min walking distance. For anything that wasn’t, the staff at the reception were very helpful with getting cabs. Very good room and facilities. I was worried before I arrived because reviews said the rooms were very small - however it was more than enough for us. The bathroom was good as well. Fantastic shower! The staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Special mention to all the reception staff, the cleaning staff (very sweet, all of them), and the breakfast room staff. 10/10. Last but not least, the breakfast itself was great. There was a good spread and the breakfast room was very cozy. We never had an issue finding a place to sit, and like I said before - the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only negative was that we could hear our neighboring room quite loudly. Thankfully, our neighbors weren’t particularly noisy while we were there. But the day we checked out, the neighbors were significantly noisier.

Our room was beautiful and had a stunning view of the Duomo. The room had all the amenities and more that we were hoping for. The staff were lovely and especially the ladies that work in the breakfast room. They were so amazing to us and were so friendly and kind each morning to me, my mom and my daughter. They gave us excellent service and we were sad to say goodbye. Hands down I would stay here again next time in Florence. This place and the staff are fabulous! Plus the breakfast room and breakfast items were lovely and delicious.

Location was great for our needs - many sites all within a few blocks, restaurants and shopping everywhere ! Quiet, very clean, well appointed, and comfortable. Hotel staff - ALL were very friendly and eager to assist. Breakfast - awesome ! Plenty of options, prepared to perfection, and servers -just WOW !! Ordered our drinks the first morning, and they knew what/how we wanted from then on - very nice. Macaroons - best I've had anywhere !! Attentive to room - room/bathroom would be touched up every time after we departed and returned. Would stay again !!

Nothing really - rooms are small, but you're in Europe - that's how they are !! We weren't there to sit in the room anyway. If you're looking for a rooftop terrace/bar - this hotel does not have that. There are plenty of places nearby with plaza, upper level, or roof terrace views so you can enjoy differing scenery.

Excellent location for work (in my case) or leisure (in the case of most other people in the hotel!) Very comfortable, quiet rooms despite being a super-central location. Attentive staff, hotel very clean and well maintained. Bonus: I had an unexpected view of the Duomo, very cool.

Bedroom temperature seems patchy - my colleague said her room was very cold at night while mine was so hot (in winter) that I slept with the window open. Breakfast room is very small, there was no space for us to sit and we had meetings to attend while tourists were (understandably!) enjoying a leisurely start to the day, so time your morning carefully.

The property had the perfect location. We just had to walk outside and we had everything at our doorstep. The staff in the breakfast area were the most welcoming, together with a superb breakfast buffet the stay was really great!

The bathroom was a bit crowded with stuff the property provided so there were little place for us to put our own toiletry bag. The bathroom was quite small, nothing against it but as I said - a bit crowded.
