Fantastic location. The hotel is situated in a square closed to traffic and a very short walk to all the city's main attractions. The building has some historical importance as it used to belong to the Strozzy family and probably dates from the seventeenth century. The exposed beams in our attic room added to our romantic intentions. The treatments and massage were excellent and room cleaning was compatible with that expected of a five-star hotel.

The hotel did not feel like a five-star. It does not have a restaurant or business centre. The spar amounts to renting a jacuzzi by the hour and some taxis are not authorised to drop off at the door. However it is important to point out that the star rating system in Italy is regulated and expectation should be based on the specified standard rather than comparing with other five-star experiences.

Loved the location and reception staff.

I do think a 5 star hotel should include the swimming pool. I can understand paying for treatments but not the pool. Also the bathroom radiator did not work. The staff tried twice but it still did not work.

Stunning hotel in a fantastic location

Guest have to pay to go in the spa. Would expect this to be included in the price as, although it is really nice, it is only a tiny pool, steam room and hydro showers.

From the moment we entered the hotel, the staff was amazing and the service also. They gave us a free bottle of prosecco for our honeymoon. The room was very clean and the entire hotel is very luxurious and beautiful. The staff helped us with great restaurant and tour reccomendations. They were available day and night at every second. The water was complimentary in your room everyday and my favourite part was the goodnight cantucci and lubally for every guest in their room. So sweet. The most amazing part has been the breakfast. Camille especially was so attentive to every one of our needs and made us coffee especially how we wanted it. I can’t wait to visit Florence again and stay here.

The Hotel was in an amazing location and great service. Daniele was exceptional and the best part of the hotel stay. Breakfast was very good too.

We booked as advertised as a Spa Hotel but discovered we had to pay 75 euros each to use the sauna! Just be aware of this.

Excellent service, great welcome. We really liked the warm welcome and also help with tourism. We wanted to arrange a tour of Tuscany and the reception desk really helped us with this. Also, every afternoon, they would leave complimentary water and biscuits for us. The staff at breakfast was also very polite.

There was no gym facilities. Also, the breakfast could be better. The eggs were usually cold by the time we arrived at 9:30-10. Also there could be more variety with juices/cereals/bread (bread quality could be improved too). We were told literally on the last day that we could order hot eggs like omelette.

Superb suite, very large and comfortable. Bed very comfortable. Huge choice of channels on TV Modern and clean bathroom with 2 large showers. Beautiful furniture. Free coffee and tea in the room Very good breakfast fresh and with pancakes Location was ideal in the very center. Though it was very quiet Staff helpful and kind Boutique hotel very charming.

Everything was perfect Only 2 details : - it was not indicated on booking that the indoor spa and pool was not accessible for kids under 18. We were travelling with kids and therefore none of us could enjoy it. We understand the restriction but just we were not aware when we did the booking - a little poor mobile connection in the room because of old building and thick walls. A very minor detail.

The duplex room was perfect, spacious and had two bathrooms. Daniel at checkin was very helpful, and assisted us.

There was a taxi strike in Florence on our checkout day, which the hotel failed to inform us ahead of time (early in the day). We requested for transportation at checkout (12pm) and we were then told there is a taxi strike, and no private transportation was available at the hotel nor did the hotel try to arrange for transportation. It is very disappointing that 5 star hotel doesn't update its guest with whats happening in the city, nor provide transportation or even try to arrange for transportation for its guests. We were told to just walk to station with our large suitcases without any help.

The hotel and staff were wonderful. The concierge helped my wife and I while we were driving through Florence on our honeymoon. It was a little bit difficult driving directly to the front of the hotel because of a security gate the staff had to lower to let you into their courtyard that we did not know about, but once we called the concierge, she gave us great directions. The staff was kind and attentive and I would recommend this property to anyone visiting the beautiful city of Florence, which was my wife and I's favorite in all of Italy.

Hard to get to hotel by car but this is expected when you want to stay I'm the historic district of a European city.

The staff were the best! Everyone was so friendly and kind. We had a problem with our room smelling and being hot. They took care of it immediately by moving us to a new room. They arranged our airport transports seamlessly. The staff that worked breakfast were such hard workers and so friendly. The breakfast was incredible and they even fixed us breakfast boxes for our early morning flight. We will definitely be back!!

Hot but they brought us a fan.
