Unbeatable, central location. Generous breakfast options and availability were incredibly helpful as we were seven people among three generations. Rooms are spacious and clean, especially for a European property. A courteous staff surrounded our visit over three days. Highly recommend!

It's important to know there are 26 steps from street level to the elevator, and then a small elevator (or more steps) take you to the lobby/front desk. While not a deal-breaker as there are many steps in Italy, it presented a challenge taking all the luggage upstairs.

Although this hotel only carries three stars, it has all you need for a comfortable and great stay. The staff, and I mean every single person, was super-friendly - you had the feeling they liked working there. The room was of a good size, with a writing desk and mosquito net. Bathroom well appointed and not cramped. The shower, though not super-hard, flowed plenty of water for an immersive experience. The bed was firm. Breakfast was delicious - chopped tomatoes were my favourite. The hotel had a happy hour in which they served complimentary drinks, which is a lovely touch and helps you get to know the staff and other guests. Would return here.

Not a lot really. You could complain about the 28 or so steps leading up to the hotel elevator, but they didn't bother us.

Just a wonderful accommodation experience! Leonardo made our vacation unforgettable. He seems to be the complete personification of Italy with his hospitality and joy. We stayed a few days longer in Florence because it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is in the center, walking distance to all the sights, yet on a very quiet street. After midnight there is no one there at all. There are plenty of places with delicious food nearby, and the breakfast at the hotel is quite hearty and fresh. The hotel itself is small, I think it's 10 rooms? I'm not sure. The floor is quiet and the rooms are comfortable. There are even nice slippers (in 2025 I see less and less of them in hotels). Soundproofing is good, new air conditioners, great windows with shutters (you can completely block the light and sleep), comfortable beds with good mattresses. We managed to stay in two rooms, both were comfortable and very conveniently organized. You can see the staff's care for the hotel and the people.

It didn't confuse me, but it will be important to many – there are high and quite steep stairs leading up to the hotel elevator. This can be difficult for people with disabilities. The staff helps to lower and raise the luggage.

The entire staff is amazing. Leonardo greeted us warmly and made us feel like family. Our time in Florence was so much more enjoyable and memorable thanks to Fernando. Breakfast, tea time and happy hour was an added bonus. Benilda at breakfast time, remembered my room number and caffe order from day before. Greeted us with a smile every morning. She keeps the breakfast stocked and clean. What a joy she is to see first thing in the morning. Cosmin, also at the front desk and bartender for happy hour. Great sense of humor, perfect for both roles. I cant wait to come back. Easy to find, within walking distance to the Duomo, art galleries and train station.

The Hotel is probably ok in principle, its location is very good. Especially the staff at the reception and in general the staff very polite, very helpful, very professional, pleasant. The hotel is clean, the breakfast enough diverse and Italian. Good coffee and good atmosphere during the Happy Hour.

The room we stayed in, 107, was small. Between the bed and the walls there were some 40 cm or less. Especially the bathroom was extremely narrow, sitting on the toilet was for me difficult since I am a big guy. May be smaller people would not have this difficulty. The hotel is rather for young people, it is difficult to reach your room from the restaurant or the other way around. The room we stayed in was very noisy, not only the noise from the street was disturbing, but also the inner noise caused by the corridor door closing and the lift. Do not stay in room 107.

The hotel was very well located. They received us very warmly and gave us a wine for our honeymoon ,that was a very sweet gesture. Everything was clean and breakfast was nice specially coffee, this is the only hotel I have stayed in that they make it espresso with a proper machine. It was really nice that they had tea, coffee and water infused with lemon at all times in a common space together with some pastries. Also they have a happy hour with wine and Prosecco that brings together guests in a very nice mood with music and great atmosphere. I definitely recommend. A nice detail is that they have double glass window to prevent hearing loud noises from the street. I can tell they care about details and comfort in general.

In order to access it there are a lot of stairs but this was advertised everywhere and did not affect me at all.

* The location was amazing. 2 minute walk to the Duomo and UNESCO City Center. * The staff was wonderful. There's a steep 30 steps up to the lift to get to the Hotel. No other way up. As a Senior, the staff came down the stairs and took my luggage up for me. Same when I checked out. Greatly appreciated. * The Free breakfast and Free Happy hour were both excellent.

This is a Biggie! * They only have one outlet and it is behind the bed. Every night, I charge my external spare charger, my camera batteries and my phone. I literally had to pull my bed out several inches just to access the outlet. And, I slept like that too, while my devices were being charged. It was horrible. * The Hotel is so close to the train station, they should offer Free Train transportation. I was shocked they didn't. Small price for them, comes back in spades IF it were offered

The gentleman at the front desk (wish I would have caught his name) was so kind and thoughtful. After holding our bags for a few hours after check out, he greeted us warmly, offered us water, cookies, and asked if our children needed to use the restroom before heading out to the train station. Additionally, the ladies at breakfast were amazing and so friendly. Their good moods in offering us coffee, tea and more coffee were infectious. what an excellent representation of Italian hospitality.

Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent, you can almost reach majority of attentions within 15min walk. Breakfast is good.

The wind speed of the air conditioner cannot be adjusted, and it blows to child's single bed directly strongly. The first night our child caught cold, then I slept on the bed next day and I caught cold as well because of the strong wind. Even though we changed the air conditioner temperature to 25. So, if you are booking a family room with single child bed, be careful of this, or ask staff whether the wind speed can be slowed down.

We enjoyed a lot our stay at Davanzati, the staff is great and they have multiple benefits(besides the breakfast) that we were not aware when we made the reservation and that were a nice finding: - Happy hour with free drinks - Coffee time with free treats and cake In general the hotel was pretty great, the location is perfect and near all the main attractions from the city and you can easily walk there from the train station. I couldn't recommend it more.

Only thing that may be an issue for some people is that you have to climb the first set of stairs to the first floor of the building, besides that everything was perfect.
