The location of the hotel was brilliant - within a few minutes walk of all the main attractions and hundreds of restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and spacious. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom. Tiny roof terrace that was a sun trap in the afternoon. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Wide choice for breakfast

The negative consequence of the location was that it was noisy. Lots of vehicles going along the road in the middle of the night and some loud people shouting on their way home. There are about four flights of stairs up to the hotel reception which might be difficult for some less mobile people. There is a lift for part of the way.

The location was great. Turn right or left outside the door and you find yourself in the Centre of historic Florence. Monti, our host / concierge, was terrific. from the minute we arrived at the front desk, he made us feel welcome and comfortable. He provided us with great information about sites that were a little off the beaten path, restaurant recommendations that are normally only frequented by locals, and was able to find find us a taxi when we were running late for a local event. Monti and the staff at Hotel Alessandra were instrumental in making our stay in Florence very memorable.

he hotel is in a great location: 3-5 minutes from the Uffizi and 10-15 minutes walk to the main tourist locations. At the same time, it is located on a quiet street, so there was no noise at night. The steps to the elevator are not a problem even after a long day. And most importantly - great friendly staff. Breakfast is good, includes an omelette with bacon, various pies and nice staff ready to serve. The room is spacious, the bed is comfortable, everything is clean. It was nice to come and relax. I will definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

Absolutely exceptional hotel. I’ve never met such warm, hospitable staff. We arrived quite hot and sweaty and the man on reception reassured us there were no more stairs and showed us straight to and around our room. The hotel staff were absolutely incredible- caring and so attentive. I was poorly one day and the staff checked in on us and were so personal and kind. The hotel itself is just stunning- perfect aircon, comfortable bed, amazing facilities, perfect shower and bathroom. The mini fridge was great. Perfect location- less than a 5 minute walk from the bridge and main attractions. We were honestly sad to leave we loved this place and the staff so much! Also the terrace was such a special touch. We loved watching the stars and enjoying the cool evening. Thankyou for showing us to this :-) 5 stars and we will be returning. Thankyou!

Nothing! Perhaps Less single use plastic in form of soap and shower gels, I’m conscious of our plastic usage across travelling. A bottle fixed to wall would be better.

Location of the hotel is very central, perfect in my opinion. There is 24/7 desk and everyone was friendly and welcoming. The room we were given was few steps down from the main corridor. It was in its own little hallway very private. The furniture and decor matched the old historic character of the building. They have this cute roof top terrace where you can have your glass of wine. We had early morning tour so I can't speak about the breakfast. I stayed in two other hotels in Florence (in similarly good locations and comparable budget) but hotel Alessandra is my favorite. I would absolutely stay there again.

The hotel is in a brilliant location really close to the Uffizi and other points of interest. It is in a lovely old building. The staff were super helpful and friendly. We had a huge room with a view of the duomo. Great air-conditioning and loads of hot water. The room was cleaned and freshened everyday.

The elevator/lift started on the first floor, so there was one flight of stairs to manage with luggage. It would have been nice to have had more fresh fruit at breakfast, quite alot of other things on offer.

Nice room in a very convenient area near the Ponte Vechio. Very good restaurants nearby. The breakfasts were excellent. The owner was there during the day and was extremely pleasant and helpful, as were the other managers. There is an elevator which is usually lacking in older hotels. However, you had to go one and a half floors to catch it, not a problem for younger people, but more difficult for 75+ and 85+ year olds. The owner and the desk clerks were great in providing help bringing luggage up to and then down the stairs from the elevator. We enjoyed our stay there very much!

Everything was perfect! This was such a wonderful stay in the heart of Florence, I was given a free upgrade to a spacious room with a view of the river, and the owner and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. There was plenty of variety for breakfast too. I would definitely come back!

The hotel is ideally situated just a 100 meters or so from the Ponte Vecchio. The garage recommended was about 150M from the hotel and was welcoming and efficient. The room was perfect and nicely quirky. The reception staff were all welcoming friendly and veery helpful.

The only obvious disadvantage is that the tiny lift only goes down to the first floor and is accessed by quite a narrow stairway. This was not a problem for us and part of the charm of an old hotel. However, people with mobility issues might find it a challenge.

Excellent location, right in the center of Florence, 1 minute from the Ponte Vecchio. Charming old hotel, with views of the Arno from our room. Spacious, comfortable, with attention to details (like the mosquito repellent machine). The staff is super friendly and charming.

The elevator is so small that it doesn't really hold one person and their luggage at the same time. Also, it starts on the floor _above_ the ground, so there are steep stairs to climb with luggage. We managed fine, but this place is not for anyone with even slight mobility challenges.
