The whole experience was second to none, from the moment we walked in the door. The reception staff were the most welcoming, the complimentary drink in the bar, the beautiful room and hotel, perfect turn down service, the complimentary chocolates, the amazing service at breakfast and the food itself, and a lovely greeting on our departure. Honestly the best hotel we have stayed in for quality of decor, professional yet friendly staff and location

We literally could not fault our stay

This new hotel is fabulous. Right in the heart of Florence's shopping district and surrounded by history and art. We loved it, it was so elegant, nice to find a touch of glamour as so many modern hotels are rather dull. La Gemma delivers 5* quality from dawn to dusk. Nothing is too much trouble the staff are amazing, especially Gian Luca the hospitality manager, and Boldo the mixologist, made incredible cocktails for us. The food was out of this world, truly worthy of a Michelin* in my opinion. Beautifully presented plates and sleek service in the beautifully designed restaurant LUCA's. Even breakfast was a gourmet affair, with everything cooked fresh to order from an impressive menu, they catered for my gluten-free diet brilliantly. I had the best Eggs Benedict on the planet. All in all, La Gemma personifies Florence...glamorous, and beautiful, where one visit is never enough. We will be back.

We had an incredible stay at Hotel La Gemma in Florence! From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted by the most friendly and attentive staff. The attention to detail in the design of the hotel is remarkable, with a perfect blend of modern elegance and classic charm. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and boasted breathtaking views of the city. The amenities provided were top-notch, and we particularly enjoyed the in room massage treatment and the delectable cuisine at Luca’s restaurant. Every meal was a culinary delight, and the staff was always ready to accommodate any dietary preferences. The hotel's central location made it a breeze to explore Florence's iconic attractions, with many of them within walking distance. Whether it was visiting renowned art galleries, strolling along the Arno River, or discovering charming local markets, we couldn't have asked for a better base. But what truly set Hotel La Gemma apart was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable, providing helpful recommendations and making us feel like valued guests throughout our entire stay. The hotel is beautiful. Every detail has been well thought out and there are thoughtful touches like the motion-sensor lights that come on when you step out of bed so you don't disturb anyone else in the room with you. The hotel is so much fun, the staff are lively and don't take themselves too seriously, there's a speaker in the rooms so you can enjoy music and they offer unique excursions you wouldn't get anywhere else (they call it having the Golden Key to the city). The location is perfect too, you're in the centre of the action but it's still tucked away enough that it's quiet at night.

Would have like tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Housekeeping didn’t replace items such as cotton wool pads that we had used. Hooks on the back of the bathroom door not enough hanging options for used towels and bathrobes,

The staff was extremely helpful with recommendations and generally welcoming. The rooms and hotel are super tastefully furnished and well decorated. the location is unbeatable it’s super near to the main shopping stretch so it’s extremely convenient to plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants.

The fixtures in the bathroom were slightly substandard for example, the toilet system kept clogging up and didn’t have a strong flush system. The bath shower knob kept falling off so we had to affix it back. They also didn’t provide an iron due to fire safety issues but didn’t have an alternative such as steamer.

Loved the style of the property inside and everywhere was very clean and highly maintained Comfortable bed and very stylish had everything we needed Maybe just 1 feedback would have liked a coffee tea machine in the room Always feel that’s a plus Otherwise would definitely be back standard as high as Rocco Forte and the breakfast was superb .. Lovely staff too very polite but friendly

The service was superb with everyone. Extremely accommodating to your needs with a smile on their face. We ate at the restaurant twice and it was spectacular. Highly recommend this place and the location couldn’t be better. Your walking distance to everything.

Everything was excellent and if I can suggest one thing the rooms could use some more flat surfaces. Move the decorative objects to the top shelf and leave one empty for the guests to use. But don’t let this deter you from choosing this hotel.

New hotel with staff ready to welcome you at the door. Parking made easy with staff to assist. Room was nice, clean and modern. Bar fridge drinks included in room price. Breakfast was exceptional (both the food and the staff who were welcoming and accommodating). Welcome drinks upon arrival. Missed our firsts nights stay due to a canceled flight, hotel allowed us to stay an extra night so we didn’t loose the money. Staff recommended authentic local restaurants and even assisted in making reservations. Will be back to stay at this hotel in the future

we loved the location! this hotel is off of the main road yet right in the middle of everything. it felt quiet and private yet perfectly situated to see all the main attractions of Florence. we also loved the hospitality- the staff was amazingly welcoming.
