The location was fabulous - really easy to reach all the main tourist locations. The view from the windows was perfect for people watching…including the live music in the evenings. The restaurants below were also excellent quality which made evening meals very easy. Our welcome was wonderful - a lovely host who walked us to the apartment and made sure we knew exactly what we were doing - even pointing out the best gelato shop and recommendations for meals. Really personable - thank you :) Sorry I didn’t get to say a personal thanks when we left.

The bathroom had a particularly strange pungent smell to it and the hot water took quite a while to come through for the shower. The water coming down pipes from other apartments was incredibly noisy and felt like a waterfall was in the corner of the room. When asking for help on the second day the lady on the desk was incredibly abrasive and dismissive of us - a shame as we’d had such a lovely welcome on the previous day.

The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Florence. Step outside the front door and you're instantly surrounded by everything the city has to offer. Even though the city centre gets lively and a bit noisy at night, the apartment’s double glazing worked wonders—we didn’t hear a thing. The rooms were spacious and full of light, which made the stay even more comfortable.

The two single beds were quite small—more suitable for a child or teenager. We're both fairly stocky, and they didn’t offer enough space to sleep comfortably. One of us ended up using the sofa, which was a decent size and worked fine. Also, the kitchenette was missing basic cleaning supplies like washing liquid and a scourer, especially since there’s no dishwasher. That’s a minor detail, but the bed size is definitely something to be aware of.

The room was nice and very centrally located to the Republic Square, hence the name. This apartment had a sitting area and a bedroom, which was nice. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were firm and nice also. There was an electric kettle in the room and tea but no coffee. The bathroom was a good size and enough counter space for needed items, i.e. shaving, make-up, etc. The room was on the 4th floor and facing another building so no view but not much time spent in the room anyway. The elevator is very small so two people and luggage only and that's a squeeze. Otherwise, stairs (8 flights) for some exercise.

Location, location, location!!!!! It was easy to get to our room from the train station. It was easy to get to all events and museums and churches and shopping.The room was comfortable. The air conditioning worked great. There was proper storage space. The kitchen items were complete. Good water pressure.

Instructions about how things worked. The elevator didn’t work at check in because someone must have left a door open so we had to lug our cases 3 flights of stairs. The person checking us in failed to mention that you had to push a button before using the key, so we had to go back for directions. Three blocks away at 1:00AM. Then the key sparked when inserted to turn on the electric. When you take the key out for the day, the power is completely off, so the refrigerator didn’t work. Nothing was cold. NONE of these things would have been a problem if there were instuctions at booking.com or a page of communication in the room.

The apartment had everything we needed, including a washing machine and dishwasher. The kitchen and bathroom were spotless, and the cleaning staff did an excellent job. The room was spacious with skylight windows, and watching the rain from bed was a lovely experience. The beds could have been a bit more comfortable, but it was not a major issue. The location is perfect—everywhere you might want to visit is within a 10-minute walk, and it’s easy to return to the apartment during the day if needed. And they cared a lot about safety.

Location was excellent, right on the piazza . The room (studio) had everything one could need for - kitchenette and large sitting area. The bathroom was great, although the bath would be complicated to enter/ exit for someone with some type of physical impairment. The ceiling lights (illuminating the painted ceiling above the bed) went on suddenly late at night/ early morning, while we were still asleep for some unknown reason but it wasn’t overly bothersome. The reception staff at the central hotel booking were super.. really friendly and kind (with a great recommendation for Badiani ice cream nearby - definitely worth the visit!

It was nice! The location of the residence is the best. It is close to anything you want to see in Florence. You can go anywhere just having a 10 minutes walk.

I stayed there for 6 days and there was no service for cleaning (maybe there was with extra cost). I think it would be better a cleaning service every 3 days without charge. Furthermore, they give you a welcome box with cleaning items. This should be already in the room and for welcome box it should better to have a wine and some nuts.

Location was a huge plus. We were in Florence for a wedding and the welcome party was around the corner at Hotel Calimala. Nice amount of space in the apartment and while we did not use it, the kitchen was nicely stocked with everything you might need.

Not enough towels for a multi day stay. Not used to using towels that seem like napkin type linens for hand towels/wash cloth. Not enough natural light in our interior “courtyard” view room on 2nd floor. No coffee provided, only tea.

Its proximity to so many things cannot be beat. The square is lively and fun and so many great restaurants and attractions close by. The room itself has lovely as well and the staff had great recommendations for places to see and eat.

Bring headphones if you have an early start and are a light sleeper. There can be singers and events in the square late in the evening. We found that charming but it might be a consideration for others. Honestly I just put in headphones and listened to music to fall asleep if we had early reservations for tours the next day and did not find it a bother at all. And you have to expect that comes with being right off a major public square with so many great attractions near it.

Large clean room on 2nd Flr in a large plaza - has a lift - we stayed 2 nights - everthing perfect - very central to anything you wish to see in Florence. Easy check in check in via hotel nearby.
