The breakfast was the best we had in seven hotel stays in Italy. Shirley spoiled us with smiley face cappuccinos & a warm greeting every morning. The location could not have been better, we could walk 5-10 minutes to everything we wanted to see. The sitting area with light snacks & drinks was a nice touch, very comfortable setting. Pam was great checking us in & taking our luggage for storage. It was a beautiful hotel.

Although the location was great, the area could be loud at all hours of the night with tourists & with workers in the early morning.

This is among the best hotels we have stayed in. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, Lando, Ferdie, Jerry, Evelyn, Shirley. The room is always clean, there was enough variety of food at breakfast, the pistachio croissant was my favorite. We love how the hotel was decorated, its like travelling back in time. The location of the hotel dining area was amazing, its on top of a landmark archway. The stay in the hotel was a big part of our wonderful Florence experience.

The location and amenities were just as we expected. Breakfast was delicious and staff delightful. Grateful for elevators and a room phone that worked for local calls.

I hate to say it, but I am pretty sure housekeeping went through our gifts from our trip to Venice and helped themselves to one of my purchases. I know I should have put more emphasis to managing my belongings, but it's just so unfortunate this occurs.

Fantastic location, generous breakfast, comfortable lobby, very convenient parking arrangement and 24/7 access to fridge with water. Finally the staff was always available and helpful, doing the extra mile to make your experience as pleasant as possible.

Room was quite small and the bathroom alike, while it had an issue with water temperature mixing, being either cold or hot. The toiletries were very basic and overall the shower could be renovated and upgraded.

Super hotel and amazing staff I can't recommend it highly enough. Fabulous breakfast kept us going all day, free tea, Coffee and Juice in the lounge along with pre breakfast nibbles whilst you wait for the dining room to open if you are an early riser Clean towels everyday, good hot showers and spotlessly clean. Ample size rooms charming decor, very pleasant atmosphere. Located within walking distance of all major attractions, bang in the middle of shops and restaurants but not noisy enough to disturb during the night. The hotel is on the 4th floor but there is a lift. Computer and printing facilities available Fridge and safe in the room

Absolutely nothing

We loved everything about Hotel Pendini, but especially the location, and the historic ambience. Our room was large, very comfortable and had a magnificent view of the Duomo and Piazza Della Republicca, which was often lively and entertaining. Breakfast was wonderful, as was the communal sitting room, with complimentary tea, coffee etc. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful, particularly arriving, with having had a bag stolen on the train from Rome containing with my husband’s passport. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful building, amazing location next to the Piazza Della Repubblica! The breakfast was amazing and we loved that they had drinks and cookies available in the lobby - it was always so nice after a long hot day. The air conditioning was strong. Great shower pressure for an old building! Very comfortable stay and would definitely stay again.

The rooms and hallway are small. The brass bedframe is not really a frame - it’s just zip tied to the bed and we bumped our toes on it many times. Perhaps they can get ride of the brass decorative frame at the foot of the bed.

- excellent location within walking distance to all attractions and 10 minutes walk to Florence train station - drinks refreshment with tea, coffee and orange cordial in the living room - this is a hotel with history and the beautiful interior vintage decor - i like the books and comfortable reading chairs in the living room - The restaurants near hotel is a little pricey due to the location but you can get good restaurants near Palazzo Vecchio.

- The water temperature control in the bath need repairing. It is unstable that the water can gets from boiling hot to icy cold within a tweak of the tap. It could be dangerously for elderly and children. - The hair dryer turn it self off every few minutes and need to wait 5-10 minutes to have it on again. - loud music and noise in the plaza until 11pm to 1am in the morning. - sewerage smell in the room which might be from the bathroom. Not sure where it is comes from…

The breakfast was very good with a lot of variety. The location of the hotel is great, very central to all the sights and only a short distance to the train station.

The front office reception staff were quite cold, didn’t look happy and were not very welcoming or warm which is a pity as that is the first impression you receive. The cleaning and kitchen staff on the other hand were amazing and went out of their way to be helpful and were warm, welcoming and engaging.

Location was perfect, Florence is a very walkable city, 5 minutes walk to all attractions, 10 minute walk from the SM Novella train station, sidewalks are rough so make sure you have good rollers. Breakfast was great, good variety and loved the smiley face cappuccino. Elevator at end of level 0 good for two people and two full-size luggage. I would definitely stay here again.

Sometimes swamp gas coming from bidet or shower, sealed the bidet drain and run shower water to block the fumes. Tight shower stall. Pillow pretty flat, no support.
