Loved this hotel!! Little Gem of a place in the beautiful town of Florence. perfect location. Loved everything about it. The room was exceptional and the attention to detail was second to none. Fresh flowers in the sitting area and bathroom. Cleanliness and turned down service was superb. We especially loved going in the spa as a family, as it was such a calming experience away from the madness of sightseeing.

We felt The Breakfast was overpriced for what it was and we were disappointed it wasn’t being served in the lovely green room that is on all the advertisement pictures for the hotel as that would of made the ambience of breakfast better and worth the money more.

We stayed in the new building and the room was fantastic - large, very comfortable. Lovely mattresses, linens, complimentary fresh berries and prosecco on arrival.

The breakfasts were disappointing. It just doesn't match everything else. Very nice breakfast room - and very limited, poor menu. We had breakfast included in the price, but the choice was just sad and even the coffee was average. And one more disappointed moment. We paid 60 euros for the hotel's valet parking. When we were leaving, they asked to bring the car at a specific time in order to catch the plane. At the appointed time, the car was not there, we were offered to either wait 15-20 minutes or go ourselves to get the car. We no longer had the opportunity to linger and walked with luggage for the car ourselves. This is not a big issue, but not for 60 euros for a service with a parking cost of 20 euros per day))

The breakfast was a lot of patisserie. The selection of fruit was poor and juice choices were weird. No orange juice!

Location is perfect. The cafe restaurant was very good. The staff was exceedingly friendly.

We booked the Suite Bristol. It contained two separate rooms which were of adequate size but neither room was very comfortable. The living room had a small round table and two chairs and a sofa made off very hard foam (no feather pillows). The sheets were spectacular but the mattress was between average and good. The overall interior design was attractive but not inviting. We didn't feel like lingering in our suite.

I initially booked a deluxe room but it smelled like damp mildew (it was also slightly smaller than I expected). I then upgraded to a suite and the staff were nice enough to do that at a discount. This second room (the suite) was fantastic. Excellent furnishings, nice view of the piazza, and fantastic bathroom. The staff all around were very helpful and made us feel at home. They brought a gift of a panettone by a famous pastry chef as well. The spa is one of the best I've seen and is built on top of an old Roman bath and medieval ruins which are incorporated into it. The restaurant is also exceptional. It is a true luxury hotel in the old style.

Only the smell of mildew in the first room and the high price. Everything else was superb once I moved rooms.

Location was great. Second room/jr suite we had was very comfortable and the double shower was fantastic. Workout room was very nice for a hotel.

First room we were assigned was in the older section of the hotel and not what I booked. The room reeked of an overpowering plug-in which was being used to hide a moldy smell. I learned later that the property was actually three buildings stuck together and leaked profusely when it rained. After sharing my displeasure with management about our room assignment they offered me a Jr suite which was very nice but for $300 more per night. Allegedly this was a 50% discount off the regular price which was appreciated but tainted the stay experience. The room was quite comfortable and room service was excellent.

Reception staff were very accommodating. housekeeping were great. Room service was delicious! The silence and quiet of the room. It's actually a gorgeous hotel with a convenient location. Not my first stay.

Breakfast is important to me and unfortunately it was very poor. I had A la carte everyday and the last day I sent it back (Avocado/country bread). The whole menu was very amateur and the lady charged me for slices of avocado I never asked for after sending back the dish. It was not the 4euro. It was the principle.

The decor of the hotel is exceptional. Our room was beautiful. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the facilities and amenities were top notch. Oh, and if you are for whatever reason hesitant to do the spa, at least try the Roman Baths, fantastic. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at.

It was 100 degrees Fahrenheit in Florence during our stay but fortunately the hotel was very well air conditioned! :)
