It was a great facility- the staff is super friendly, rooms are docent sized, very clean & comfortable, delicious breakfasts on a cute little terrace, and the parking is a huge plus. The city centre and the pointe vecchio are located within 10-15 minute walk so it’s a perfect distance to be away from hustle and bustle.

This is exceptional place in every respect. We travel a lot and with full responsibility I can say that such places are a real rarity. This is not a cold typical hotel that dominates the market, this is a family but very professionally run hotel with soul and exceptional style. No less important, although they exude a vintage style, they are not stuck in the past, their environmental awareness is exceptional and the staff is the kindest I have ever seen. Free parking, drinks and food at afternoon, coffee and water refill (regular and mineral), all complimentary. I do not understand how anyone can complain about anythings in this hotel. Thank you for reminding us that the hotel industry is not only hotel chains but that accommodation can also look like this. Thank you for your dedication to us, the guests.

Lovely location, great rooms, comfortable beds and pillows. This hotel goes above and beyond with happy hour free coffee or cold drinks throughout the day. Breakfast was the best on our 2 week trip!

The staff was above and beyond friendly and helpful. She even offered to help me repark my car because I was struggling with it. Everyone was so kind and the space was so charming and cute. There was a little bar and water refill station which was such a great bonus available to guests at any time. Breakfast was OUTSTANDING. Best scrambled eggs I've ever tasted and and incredible spread with delicious fruit, juices, breads, croissants and hot items. I wish I had more time to stay and eat. The chef even came out to bring a high chair for our kiddo. They had convenient EV parking which was a lifesaver, and they even let us keep our car there after checkout time. The area was very secure with a locked fence and the public spaces were sweet to hang out in. The room was spacious and beautiful. Can't say enough good things!!

This hotel is indeed very comfortable and friendly. The rooms are immaculate and way nicer and bigger than they seem online. Especially the front room with the balcony (15) was beautiful with a huge bathroom and super high ceilings! The bath products smell incredible. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the Happy Hour and free drinks throughout the day a great perk.

We didn’t really like the breakfast. The food is just okay, nothing special, but the setting is a bit awkward and the area not very nice. On top of that, one has to know that the hotel is surrounded by big streets and very close to a major intersection. It is well isolated and tries to block itself away from it, but it still is not the most quaint surrounding and you will notice street noises. The location is also just ok and you are rather dependent on (very convenient) busses if it is summer and way too hot to walk all the way to the centre. Certain guests and the general clientele were a bit annoying, but that is nothing the hotel can do anything about :-)

Our stay at Hotel David was fantastico! Hotel David is on the skirts of Florence, which was pleasantly warm and inviting. Checking in and out was simple and easy. The staff at Hotel David are extremely friendly and helpful. I would love to stay here again. Refreshments and food were excellent and conveniently located on the main floor. The breakfast room and patio were lovely. They offered assistance to us when we needed an early morning taxi to the airport. I would recommend any first time visitors looking for a friendly, authentically comforting place to stay in Florence to choose Hotel David. There are buses nearby that can take you anywhere. Nearby within walking distance there’s San Miniato which has leafy avenues lined with elegant villas, as well as a staircase road leading up to panoramic city views from 19th-century square, Piazzale Michelangelo. Al fresco bars fill up after dark, and many offer live music.

Exceptional staff - just wonderful - so friendly, kind and helpful; we couldn't have asked for more. Lovely setting, very clean, with quaint and authentic decor. The breakfasts were immaculately presented and the best on our travels. Generous and relaxed happy hour too. I initially thought the hotel may be a little far out from the centre, but it was so nice to retreat to the leafy environment at the end of the day, and the bus from the front door was so easy (tickets at reception). Highly recommend. Shared the triple room with my daughter and she loved the little balcony.

A bit of noise (water running from showers, and doors closing etc) from other rooms, but nothing disruptive and certainly wouldn't put me off returning.

Absolutely everything. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. I have to write a slightly longer review than usual as it was that good! The staff were exceptional, and very helpful with anything we needed to know, whether it was which bus service to take into the city centre, or which restaurants were within walking distance. They'd even book reservations if needed and we could buy bus tickets from them too. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the shower was perfect, the soaps & shampoo in the room dispensers smelled amazing and were locally made, and the included breakfast was lovely every morning (and the lady servingus was lovely too). And on top of all this amazing service, they do a 'Happy Hour' between 18:30 and 20:00, where they offer free wine, drinks and nibbles (including small slices of pizza and various breads). The complementary refreshments are great too. There is free coffee and water available 24hrs, up to three drinks a day for free and an 'honesty sheet' for any of the premium or additional drinks and snacks, costing only £2 each but they simply check the list and add it to your room bill. Probably one of the best stays we've had at a hotel, anywhere! Will definitely go again.

There's nothing not to like. Hotel is a little far out from the city centre but close to plenty of restaurants, bars and on a main bus route. Plus the walk into town is lovely along the river, and if your OK with steps and hills, there's a stunning gardens and hilltop view half way, with a copy of David at the top. Well worth the extra steps.

The service level provided by the staff was superb. It is a special place. The extra touches the hotel provides, such as the Happy Hour drinks and snacks, speaks to the hotel’s commitment to making your stay feel like home. The breakfast has lots of options. We like the location, 2km from the city center, as it is quieter, but with numerous good, reasonably priced neighborhood restaurants and other services. Easy access to public transportation.
