Everything was just perfect! I originally booked another property, but due to a 2-hour flight delay, they refused to accommodate my late arrival—even after I explained I was traveling with three children. I had no choice but to find another place last minute, and I’m so glad I ended up here! At first, I was a bit worried because of the lower ratings, but honestly, this place exceeded all my expectations. We arrived an hour after the official check-in time (20h instead of 19h), and no one made a fuss about it. The apartment was spotless, extremely comfortable, and very well-equipped. We were five people and had five proper beds, which is rare to find. The place had everything we needed—AC on both floors, two TVs, ice already in the freezer, shampoo, cleaning products, and more. The location is also super convenient—just a 3-minute walk from the bus station. We truly enjoyed our stay here and actually regretted not staying the full five nights at this property. Highly recommended!

Excellent place, the location is perfect: very close to the Railway station, convenient transportation. The room is very quiet, the staff is very friendly and helpful. There's a coffee maker and microwave in the common area, as well as free apples, crackers and wine. After we did our checkout, the receptionist let us leave our luggage in a storage room and we picked it up later.

The price was good. It was comfy. We were only there a few hours because we arrived in Florence (7am) and wanted to rest before catching our 7pm flight. They let us store our luggage after 9:30am and allowed us to check in a little earlier. The location is great because it is just across the street from the Belfiore stop on the tram from the airport into the city.

It was close to the tram stop. But the sign Soggiorno Madrid over the door is easy to miss. So we walked 10 minutes extra with our luggage.

The location of the hotel is good, the city center is 5-10 minutes by tram. The hotel is located on the 1st floor of a corner building. The room was big enough for four people in my family. The room was cleaned every day, there is a small fridge and air conditioning. We had breakfast in the city center, although there is a good place on the other side of Belfiore Street. All questions, entry, check-in, and registration were solved in the WhatsApp chat.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights and didn't see any staff other than the cleaning lady. Teapot dirty with scale.

Good size room spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, tv kettle and coffee machine in room, decent good size bathroom. Location - approx a 15 minute walk from the centre and the train station (Google maps isn't the best direction - nicer streets to walk along!) However from outside the station you can get a tram €1.50 - to belfiore which is app 3 stops to virtually outside - 1 minute walk across a 3 way crossing) Quick breakfast - good coffee and a selection of pastries available on the next corner €3.50 Value for money - good price, for a good location it makes a trip affordable - for the price of some of the bigger known chain of hotels - how much more do you actually get? This is my 3rd break to Italy in 4 months - for what it would have cost me to do 1 in a typical city break hotel - YES a bit further out YES I then Have to get breakfast - but still in easy walking distances and eating out is the city experience!

🤷 really nothing to not like

This place is an 11 on the 10-point scale. I won't even try to elaborate on that. This is as good as a city apartment gets. And the coffee machine in the room was a fine touch. Not too far at all from the SMN train station.

Hosts are not at the premises. You get a text with instructions on how to let yourself in with a code and if at the time you call to say you're there they're unavailable, you have to wait. Too minor of an inconvenience to impact our positive stay, just save yourselves the wait and call 15 minutes early and it will all be fine.

Location was excellent. We walked to ststion and beyond to city centre. Took 30 mins daily.

Replenished toulet paper in room. Arrived back at 8.30 in evening and my husband had to go out to find a store selling t.paper. supermarkets were closed. T.paper in hotwl rooms is a necessity not an extra!

Sam was extremely nice to us. He treated us like we were his friends, giving us a lot of useful tips and advices, and also watching over us through whatsapp the day we arrived (we were late due to a flight delay). Soggiorno Madrid's location is pretty convenient. Tram station is in front of the door (direct to the airport and/or city center), and it's 15 minutes walking from Santa Maria Novella. The AC saved our lives (we visited Firenze in the middle of a heatwave), and the room was big and very clean. Definitely great value for money in our opinion. We will recommend it to all our friends coming to Firenze. Thank you very much, Sam!

Let me start by saying "Grazie Molto" to Sam. He was a fantastic host!! From the very, begging he called me to confirm my staying and help me by given clear directions in how to get to his place. Sam speaks perfect English and was so kind and polite. He provided several recommendations in where to eat and places to visit. The room was nice and clean, also very quiet. I love that I could log in my Netflix account to watch tv. Super convenience location, the train super close and you can even walk to the city center. Florence was a fantastic experience because of my stating at this property

The air conditioning was fantastic, and very welcome during the heatwave. The B&B code and room number were communicated well in advance. The room was very clean.

For the price, a breakfast option would have been very welcome (e.g. a voucher for the local bar, which had some basic breakfast options), as it's a 15-minute walk from the city centre and more breakfast locations.
