We’ve just returned from a 4 night stay here. The apartment is a short walk from the train station which was why we choose it. We were in contact with the staff/owners prior to our arrival so that they were there to check us in. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, cold air conditioning and the shower was great (some toiletries were provided)! There was a safety deposit box. There was a fridge and a mini bar which could be paid by card (we didn’t use it). We opted not to have the room cleaned by placing the DND sign on the door for the duration of our stay. Breakfast was served in a little cafe to the left of the apartment (they don’t open till 8am so we missed breakfast a couple of times which defeated the object of finding somewhere with breakfast as we had to go elsewhere). We had UK to type F travel adapters and they didn’t work in the room due to the shape of the sockets, type C and L look to be the correct fit. Thankfully we were able to borrow an adapter and there were USB A and C plugs on the lamps so not an issue. Was easy to communicate with the staff via WhatsApp, they were very responsive.

The central location made travelling easy but the big downside for me (and this is not a reflection of the apartment) was that the surrounding area was very noisy and dirty.

We just stayed for one night as our flight got in late and then headed to Capri the following morning but we had a very comfortable stay. Since we checked in later, the staff was already gone but they sent us very clear instructions on how to access the property. They also helped us to arrange a ride from the airport which was very helpful. There are some good restaurants just around the corner where we got a late night bite to eat. The room itself was clean and comfortable.

The shower didn't drain properly however we weren't there for very long and didn't give the staff a chance to fix it

Hey, we stayed in Naples for 3 nights and aimed to visit at least Pompeii, Naples inner-city and one of the wonderful islands. Our requirement on the accommodation was i.) minimum noise, ii.) clean and comfortable rooms and iii.) a close link to public transport. Although Scaramantico Rooms is nearby a main plaza there was absolutely no noise. The rooms were absolutely clean and comfortable. We really appreciated also the minibar (water only 1€?!) and the breakfast was really cleverly planned (voucher to go 1mins in a Cafe nearby). The rooms seemed to be completely renovated and had a safe and air conditioning included (100% needed in Naples summertime). The link to public transportation was perfect as the central station and Metro is 5 mins walk away and brings you everywhere (airport bus given as well to central station) On top we were greeted and served by a welcoming owner explaining to us everything we needed to know.(English proficient) 100% recommended from our side!

Everything as expected and even better

The only I can say is EXCELLENT SERVICE from property owners was done for me. Antonio made my day in Napoli just great, after I was struggling to find property and became lost in space, he very patiently and kindly guided me straight to the door. Funny is, that property is in so close and perfect location from Railway Station that after all I felt dumm didnt find it in a minute of walking. Guesthouse itself is very nicely renovated, room is spacy more then enough with large clean bathroom. I spent only one night there, but since that time I know where to go once traveling via Napoli again. Highly recommend to all. Thank you

The guesthouse is located right beside the Garibaldi/Centrale stations, which makes it extremely convenient. You can reach it easily by train (or from the airport by taking the Alibus), and it is very easy to travel around Naples by metro and the wider area (Pompei, Mt. Vesuvius, even Sorrento) by Circumvesuviana train. Room is clean and comfortable, and staff were very friendly and easily contactable on WhatsApp for any questions.

It was not an issue for me (and the location was worth the tradeoff), but because the guesthouse is near the station/streets, it can be a little busy and loud at night. Just something to take note of if you are a light sleeper or like it quiet.

Perfect location for arrival by train, many restaurants and cafes nearby, very close to the hop on - off red bus route. Good facilities, excellent welcome from Guglielmo who took the trouble to confirm our arrival time so he could meet us.

Like many multiple-occupancy buildings in Italy, maintenance of common entry areas is not good. take a deep breath and keep going past the hotel kitchens! You soon get used to the route. The recommended Piza restaurant was a disappointment; I think we were unlucky on a bad day. Our waiter advised us he had changed the order!

The host was super caring and mega helpful, told us everything about how to get around, where and what to eat and where to get a taxi at night, was available on WhatsApp day and night. The room was big and clean, containing everything that is needed for a comfortable stay. The street outside is quite noisy, but the room has all the means to prevent it. The location is perfect, 5 min walk to the Central station from where you can get anywhere, and about 15 min to the very city center. Scaramantico Rooms has an agreement with a cafe next door to serve breakfast. We weren't able to use our breakfast vouchers 2 mornings out of 3, so we just asked if we can have bigger breakfast instead and the restaurant host was absolutely up to this, we've got a double breakfast right away and some snack packed with us, she also said that we can stop by later if we need anything else. Almost family care 💛

Although all the families were spotless clean, the bathroom accessories were quite worn out and didn't function as expected (the shower holder just hangs very low and can't be adjusted, the drain cover is getting off, the shower door is hard to open and close etc.)

Perfect place to stay in Naples! Rooms are newly renovated. Staff is very helpful and kind. You can contact them anytime via whatsapp. There was no problem with leaving the luggage after check-out. Location is great when it comes to the transport - 100m from main train station, metro and airport bus, 3 minutes walk to Porta nolana station etc. Breakfast was 20m from the place in a local bakery. Small but very delicious. I can recommend Scaramantico Rooms to all people visiting Naples.

Location might be good for the transportation, but be careful there. It could be a dangereous place. We were almost robbed 50m from the hotel.

I enjoyed my stay in Naples at Scaramantico Rooms and it is well connected to nearby transport. The room was spacious, wifi worked well and we managed to sleep well, without any issues. The indications given by the hosts were clear and they were responding really quickly through messages, which was especially useful after a long drive. Since we were there on Christmas day, the hosts were nice enough to offer us a complimentary "sweet gift" which was an incredibly nice surprise and it goes to show that they were willing to go the extra step in order to make their guests as comfortable as possible. Since it is close to Naples main train station, the area unfortunately is not very clean. Even though the nearby streets might look a bit shady, there was no need for alarm, as it was completely safe, but still some badly maintained public services and buildings paint an undesirable picture of the neighborhood.

Scaramantico proved to be an incredibly convenient base for our travels around Naples, especially given our reliance on train travel. The staff's friendliness and accommodation truly set this place apart. We were permitted early check-in at 10 am, and the ease of leaving our luggage made our stay incredibly convenient. The same level of consideration was extended at checkout, with spare keys provided for a hassle-free luggage pickup. The breakfast, served at a nearby cafe, was absolutely delicious, and the service there mirrored the warmth we experienced at Scaramantico. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and to our pleasant surprise, the rooms were remarkably quiet and dark at night, despite the bustling activity of Naples city center.

Don't expect picturesque views typically associated with Naples - they were never promised. While the neighborhood was safe, it didn't quite capture the charming and iconic imagery of Naples. Despite this, Scaramantico offers an exceptionally convenient and comfortable stay, with an exemplary service that more than makes up for the neighbourhood. A highly recommended choice for those prioritizing convenience and a quiet respite in the heart of the city.
