We really liked the room itself. It was clean, with all modern - fairly new - appointments throughout, including the bathroom. The location is very near the train station, (only about 5 minutes' walk), which would be quite convenient to many. But Alessandra really merits a fine mention, as well! She was really helpful in responding to anything that we needed, offering advice and assistance. Really great, thank you Alessandra!!

Unfortunately, in some older buildings, it is difficult to get easy, convenient room access. The building does have a (very small) lift, but we still needed to go down a flight of stairs and up again, to reach the entrance. (Thus partially negating having the lift...) This would be the only inconvenience we found. Overall, a sound bnb!

Serendipity is a hidden gem of serenity and modernism within the hustle and grittiness of Naples Piazza Garibaldi. Attanasio, our receptionist, is a bright light of cheerfulness and welcoming. She assisted us with our bags when we left. She also gave us some wonderful dinner recommendations and better yet, to the best pasticceria in Naples, just a few blocks away! Our room had a high ceiling with doors leading to a small balcony looking out to the square. It is a fascinating view. When the windows are closed, noise does not penetrate, and we had a good night's sleep on a comfortable bed. The shower had good water pressure and lots of hot water. Finding Serendipity is a bit of an adventure as is the tiny elevator taking you up to the front door, but it is an adventure we'll worth taking! I would definitely book again.

The only thing I would suggest is having a strip on the bathroom floor of a different color than the bedroom floor so you don't miss the significant step down when exiting the bathroom.

The room was beautiful - big, airy, great view over the piazza. It was well sound proofed when the windows were shut at night.

The location was great in the proximity to the station, but it was a little intimidating with all the street vendors and locals, especially in the evenings. However we had no incidents and the clear military presence provided safely. Also - best for strong travellers who can heft their bags up and down a few flights of stairs - no direct lift access to the floor.

The location was fantastic for the station and to get out and explore by foot. Serendipity was clean and the coffee was great! Alessandra was wonderful, so informative and helpful. We had to book an extra night and it was no problem at all for her to arrange. Highly recommend and would definitely re book

Amazing with mini bar, super comfy and clean and cold. Really nice and relaxing and they had great coffee machine. The host was super helpful as well giving recommendations of places to visit and eat. It was also really close to where my tour bus picked up for the Vesuvius and Pompei trip.

Outside people were really loud fighting and the area didn’t feel super safe as a solo female, but that’s not really their fault or anything they could control.

The location was perfect as I had an early train in the morning and the apartment is basically next to the train station. The room was very clean, tidy and functional. The host Alessandra was very helpful as well. Great for a one night stay.

Nothing in particular, maybe some biscuits or snack foods in the common area.

This is a clean, comfortable and welcoming place to stay, very close to the central train station (2-3 min walk). Alessandra is the most wonderful hostess (nothing was too much trouble and she helped when language became an issue when trying to plan an activity). The room was a great size with a comfortable bed, great shower (hot and good pressure) plus a very small balcony. There is also a great little common room for meeting others. This place was very convenient for me as I used it as a based for day trips (hence the proximity to the train station), it was about a 20 min walk to the main tourist sections. I had a great week staying here :)

Like most places in these old cities - the elevator doesn't go to the floor so you will need to be able to carry your luggage up/down two flights of stairs - it's a problem, you just need to be aware of it.

Location is perfect, next to Garibaldi station. Easy for transfer to airport. Room was specious and clean. Feels great to stay in a typical Napolitan building with high ceiling and cute balcony. Alessandra was nice and welcoming. Gave basic info about places in Naples and how to travel with metro. Building is next to busy street, next to MacDonalds, but for my one day stay there was no noise . i liked the free water/coffee in the pantry.

In the facilities LIFT is listed, but you can only use a small 1 person lift in the next door building (works with 10 cent coin), so you still need to walk 2 staircases. I specially looked into the list of facilities since i have bad knees and have heavy suitcases. Alessandra told me it was mentioned but i still cannot find this info. came back to add this: SHOWER In the morning had only half a minute Super Hot water and then only COLD water. I also took shower the evening before and had no problems. So I assume this problem was due to busyness in the morning. But i was also in a hurry to catch my flight.

The apartment is well designed with almost everything modernised and thought through considering the age of the building. The bed was amazing and difficult to leave behind. Maria was ultra helpful and welcoming. Lots of hot drinks facilities that I didn’t use but I know hot drink enthusiasts would enjoy. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Being an old building the lift service can be a little hit and miss and the caretaker gave me an Italian dressing down (luckily I didn’t understand a word but I could read the body language) when I asked for the lift to be operated. It didn’t work in the end so I dragged my case down and got told off by an angry man. Spoiled the experience a little. Dragging cases to the station was a workout. Maybe I should have used the road instead of the pavement that is not wheel friendly.
