The property itself is a gem. It's like living in heritage property. The location is fabulous and absolutely in the midst of most happening place but yet private and calm. Staffs are fantastic!!! Finally, breakfast is really good and the ambience is such that you would want to sit and enjoy your morning coffee to the fullest. Rooms were sufficiently big for our needs, clean and overall very happy with the stay.

If you are travelling with your own/rental car, this can be trickly. Firstly there's restricted zones which you must avoid and it's not easy to know (even with Google Maps) which roads are allowed and which roads are not allowed. You need to buy the restricted zone access everyday you wish to take your car out/in. Moreover, parking is a stress at the hotel - there's always a military car waiting near the hotel entrance asking you to move your car immediately even before the Vallet comes to park your car.

This is the third or fourth time I've stayed at this hotel since 2018 because the location is excellent, the facilities are spacious and comfortable and the staff is professional and personable even if not really warm and friendly -- which is common in Italian traditional hotels with mature staff members. The breakfast buffet is always good and filled with great options for everyone. Who can resist make-your-own fresh cannoli!?

It's too bad that the hotel doesn't seem to keep track of past guests. A little recognition or thank you for repeat business would be appreciated.

The hotel itself is based in a beautiful historic building which is sympathetically renovated. The breakfasts in the beautiful dining room were a great start to the day. The city location is central to walking everywhere & we booked the car into the hotel parking for our stay. The alleys surrounding the hotel contained good local eateries away from the real touristy areas nearer the Teatro Massimo. Easy short drive to the port to catch the ferry to Sardengna.

The location of the hotel was great: right in the middle of town, and close to the trains. It was easy to get to restaurants, bars, and museums. The hotel also advertised free usage of the facilities at a partner hotel by the beach, but we were unable to make time to go there.

We booked a very large suite that advertised a balcony. The room did not have a balcony, and the front desk argued with me when I checked out until I showed them a listing. Check-in was extremely slow with multiple trips from the staff to and from the back of the check-in desk. We were checking in with four people, but we could have supplied our passports and such in advance. One of the bars shown in the photos was closed during our entire stay. Do not get the drip coffee at breakfast: it is inedible.

Beautiful rooms and hotel. Quiet location. Extremely clean room with beautiful linens.

Smoking allowed in lobby. Had to pay an extra person charge when we were just two people (husband and wife) in a room with a king-sized bed. Was told the price I was quoted was based on one person only. Our room was already pretty pricey so with the added fee it was fairly expensive.

The room was absolutely beautiful and we really appreciated the air conditioning which was piped into the entire room! We had plenty of room, the restaurant was absolutely delicious, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

We had a couple of issues with our bathroom. The dryer stopped working at one point and the jets in the jetted tub were not working quite correctly but overall, these were small inconveniences that we could definitely overlook for all of the other positives.

The staff was super friendly, especially Davide at the reception who helped us with finding a car park late at night, sort out our ztl application and gave us great tips for eating out in Palermo. Room was grand, clean and functional

If there is one thing to improve I would suggest be the windows. Those on our room were super old and could not fend at all from the noise coming from the piazza during the night. Palermo is a very live and bustling city especially during the weekend and providing good soundproof windows should be a priority for a hotel of such stand as the GHPB

Being a more than 200 years old building converted into a very beautiful hotel with specious old fashioned yet modern rooms. Location was super excellent and courtyard is peaceful. However, Price was high.

Few number of staff were not friendly like their colleagues.

This is a very beautiful hotel in the grand manor with luxurious public seating areas. We arrived shortly before the restaurant was closing and they informed the kitchen that we would be coming in soon. The food was excellent and service in the dining room and throughout the hotel was first class. The breakfasts were very generous and were the best that we had in our two weeks in Italy.

Traditional hotel with a very professional staff. Rooms are spacious and quiet. The position is very central. Breakfast is memorable (don't miss the caponata and the ricotta).

There is valet service, but driving through the alleys of downtown Palermo to reach the hotel is not that great.
