This is the third or fourth time I've stayed at this hotel since 2018 because the location is excellent, the facilities are spacious and comfortable and the staff is professional and personable even if not really warm and friendly -- which is common in Italian traditional hotels with mature staff members. The breakfast buffet is always good and filled with great options for everyone. Who can resist make-your-own fresh cannoli!?

It's too bad that the hotel doesn't seem to keep track of past guests. A little recognition or thank you for repeat business would be appreciated.

The hotel itself is based in a beautiful historic building which is sympathetically renovated. The breakfasts in the beautiful dining room were a great start to the day. The city location is central to walking everywhere & we booked the car into the hotel parking for our stay. The alleys surrounding the hotel contained good local eateries away from the real touristy areas nearer the Teatro Massimo. Easy short drive to the port to catch the ferry to Sardengna.

The staff was super friendly, especially Davide at the reception who helped us with finding a car park late at night, sort out our ztl application and gave us great tips for eating out in Palermo. Room was grand, clean and functional

If there is one thing to improve I would suggest be the windows. Those on our room were super old and could not fend at all from the noise coming from the piazza during the night. Palermo is a very live and bustling city especially during the weekend and providing good soundproof windows should be a priority for a hotel of such stand as the GHPB

The location of the hotel was great: right in the middle of town, and close to the trains. It was easy to get to restaurants, bars, and museums. The hotel also advertised free usage of the facilities at a partner hotel by the beach, but we were unable to make time to go there.

We booked a very large suite that advertised a balcony. The room did not have a balcony, and the front desk argued with me when I checked out until I showed them a listing. Check-in was extremely slow with multiple trips from the staff to and from the back of the check-in desk. We were checking in with four people, but we could have supplied our passports and such in advance. One of the bars shown in the photos was closed during our entire stay. Do not get the drip coffee at breakfast: it is inedible.

The room was absolutely beautiful and we really appreciated the air conditioning which was piped into the entire room! We had plenty of room, the restaurant was absolutely delicious, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

We had a couple of issues with our bathroom. The dryer stopped working at one point and the jets in the jetted tub were not working quite correctly but overall, these were small inconveniences that we could definitely overlook for all of the other positives.

Beautiful hotel in a very good location within a 10 minute stroll from Palermo Central station. We also had the resident pianist playing in the central courtyard in the evening while enjoying our aperitvo. Lovely! The room was beautiful, quiet and spacious. We requested a quiet room and got it, it was at the side of the hotel. Appreciated the kettle to make our own hot drinks in the room. The central courtyard was lovely and has a retractable roof.

We had breakfast and felt it could be better. Just little things like having teaspoons and spoons for eating cereal on the table. The scrambled eggs and bacon were just about lukewarm so a lot of other guests left those on their plates. I requested gluten free food and there was a good range, including cereal and choices of crisp breads and bread, so this was excellent! Also appreciated the choice of non dairy milks. All staff in the hotel were lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

This is a very beautiful hotel in the grand manor with luxurious public seating areas. We arrived shortly before the restaurant was closing and they informed the kitchen that we would be coming in soon. The food was excellent and service in the dining room and throughout the hotel was first class. The breakfasts were very generous and were the best that we had in our two weeks in Italy.

The location was perfect!!

The staff can be a bit arrogant. Ordered a cab the first time with the lobby and lost it because it wasn’t there and was waiting a block away and had to walk and lost our train. Staff should assist better at the entrance. The beds are not that comfortable. For a palace like that I would invest in the beds. People come mainly to rest to continue their adventures, they shouldn’t try to save money by buying less expensive mattresses.

This former stock exchange is a great hotel in a great location. It is surprisingly quiet for a hotel so close to the center of the city’s most important destinations. The room was large and comfortable. The staff was superb. My wife and I especially enjoyed sitting around the fountain in the center of the main floor of the hotel. Memorable.

The breakfast was very good, but we’ve had better, and for the price we expected it to be great. I didn’t like the Jacuzzi bath tub/ shower combination unit in the bathroom. It was narrow and awkward to get into and out of.A traditional shower stall would have been a better choice, I think.

Superb central position in Palermo. Elegant, calm and a great place to unwind and relax. Large bedroom with well functioning bathrooms. The atrium is a fabulous place to relax with a cocktail and listen to the pianist in the evening. The valet car service works very well and takes the hassle out of parking.
