Very helpful receptionist when checking in

The shower cubical in the middle of the bedroom is odd and difficult to exit with the bed in the way. Demanding 4 euros upon a very early checkout (to get a flight) despite having paid the bill in full the day before. The night receptionist could not explain what the charge was for.

We are a couple who initially booked a two-night stay in a double room with a balcony. To our delight, we were upgraded to the suite upon arrival. The room was absolutely exceptional—immaculately clean, tastefully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. Inspired by the experience, we inquired about extending our stay for an additional night. Although the hotel was fully booked, I reached out directly to express our interest. To our surprise and great joy, the hotel promptly responded and confirmed availability of the suite for one more night. The process was seamless and handled with genuine hospitality. Truly outstanding service. Breakfast was a highlight each morning. The buffet offered a superb selection, including scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, a variety of Italian breads and delicacies, mini pancakes, Belgian waffles, cheeses, cold cuts, jams served in charming glass jars, and muesli accompanied by several types of yogurt. On certain mornings, a chilled bottle of Prosecco was also available, adding a luxurious touch. Coffee was served upon request by the attentive and friendly staff, who were consistently present and accommodating throughout breakfast. Their warmth and professionalism greatly enhanced our experience. We can’t wait to return—this stay exceeded all expectations!

It would be great having one spa experience including in the price.

The breakfast was perfect for us, usually we were grabbing a quick bite and coffee before our tours that we had planned for the day. Buffett style and coffee made to order to your liking. Anastasia, who was the first person we encountered while checking in, was so helpful with anything we needed during our entire stay. We even changed our plans mid week and decided to rent a car, she called and set everything up for us, no matter what we asked, she took care of everything. This helps a lot to make the stay even more pleasant.

At first the no A/C during this season was a shock and we were worried on how we would survive the week with no air conditioning. They assured us that with the outside cooler temps that it would be fine and if we did get hot we could just crack an outside door open for fresh cooler air. Our travel was at the end of February into the beginning of March. Anastasia, which was wonderful, was correct. The room temp was almost perfect the entire stay, we did crack a door just a couple times, but it was very comfortable and we are very picky on not being hot when we sleep.

The hotel is located at the very heart of Palermo city center. Within 10 minutes walking distance you can reach all the important monuments. The rooms are recently renovated and the bathroom is just excellent. The breakfast is very rich in a cosy restaurant at the ground floor. All these are easy to figure out from the map and by studying all the photos and info included in the various reviews. What might be harder to spot is the staff of the hotel that places heart and soul to make your stay truly memorable. I felt as if they already knew all my habits - always anticipating my needs. This took me completely by surprise.

Really hard to find something.

The property is newly updated. The room was beautiful, very well designed. Great bathroom. Very comfortable bed. All the latest first class amenities. Very clean. My balconies looked out onto the square allowing you to really feel immersed in the beauty of Palermo, without the noise you’d expect from such a public space. The staff couldn’t be more personable or helpful. Although I don’t speak Italian they made me feel right at home. The breakfast was plentiful. Offered more than what you could eat. The food was all fresh, inviting and well laid displayed. The hotel is located in the perfect spot to enjoy the best of Palermo by foot. First class. Highly recommend.

Can’t think of a thing.

Palazzo Cartari is a wonderful place. It was a joy to stay there. Perhaps most notably, the staff is friendly, welcoming, helpful, and a pleasure to interact with. They all speak excellent English. The location is perfect for visiting the historic center of Palermo. My room was stylish, comfortable, quiet, and beautifully equipped. The breakfast was varied and excellent. There are lots of restaurants close by, and the hotel is within easy walking distance to the Ballarò Market for a wonderful lunch of Palermo's famous street foods. If you want to be close to the historic center when visiting Palermo and its innumerable interests. I can't imagine a better place.

Had to ask for more toiletries so many times, towels , we were a family but they treated us as a couple.

Everything was great and the decoration (both in the room and the common spaces) very tasteful. The staff was very friendly and helpful and everybody made a special effort to speak French with us. Breakfast included quite a variety of excellent goodies!

A piece of advice rather than a complaint: the bathroom has only 2 small hooks to hang towels, which is not very practical when the room is shared by 2 people. Try to add some! My companion was disappointed that, contrarily to what is normally done in hotels, there was only one small bottle of water offered for two people. No great problem, we simply went out to buy more!

Found you online after searching for weeks. Loved the location, the room, hotel was adorable, clean, comfortable, wonderful amenities. Staff were exceptional. Restaurant dinner was great. Breakfast was fine. Loved the sauna in the room! Loved the layout of the closet. Loved the extra bedding/blankets. Location was amazing. When we checked in, Anastasia checked us in - came up with us to the room to show us how everything worked. Lovely, kind, helpful. We tried to tip her and she wouldn’t take our money. She deserved it.

Need a way for floor not to get so wet after shower as to ruin the floor. Son didn’t like the pillows. I thought they were fine. Breakfast was good - maybe hard boiled eggs and nut butters for toast (unless it was there and I didn’t see it).

The location is excellent. The hotel is clean and looks great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with lots of choice and excellent food.

We were placed in broom cupboard 101b. It’s a little strange to have a shower at the end of the bed but we accepted that. The most annoying part of our stay was that over 5 nights we didn’t get 1 night of good sleep. The room is extremely noisy having little or no sound proofing, you can even hear people’s footsteps on the road outside as they walk by!
