The staff were just incredible. Alessandro and his sister were helpful, kind, and so fun to talk to! The hostel is beautiful and the communal spaces are lovely, especially the deck which has a stunning view of Positano. The room had lots of space and the bed was fine for me.

I would say the room could be a bit more clean. The floor was quite dirty, I don’t think it was cleaned in the 5 days I stayed there. The shower is also quite small and the shower curtain kept sticking to me as a result which annoyed me. Minimal issue which others didn’t seem to mind, although I think a glass door would be so much better!

The staff — Serena and Alessandro are just lovely! Serena is an angel! They were both extremely helpful.

It says it's about 400m from the beach. This is 400m worth of steep steps and it's not on the main side of Positano. Overall still a great place to stay!

Many things I liked in this hostel. First of all, the staff, especially ms. Anna, she's amazing, nice, quiet, give all information in smooth way. 2nd, the hostel is very clean and quiet, you can have shared balcony to dry your clothes. The rooms got aircon, the bathroom is amazing, good shower hot/cold water. 3rd, location was good actually. Because its close to the bus stop, mostly everyone needs a bus to travel. Moreover it has nice view to the sea. Its perfect place to stay for 2-3 days. 4th, the hostel provide free water at the reception desk, as well as nice bag. Finally and I must mention, beside thz hostel there's good market where you can buy food/drinks with reasonable prices. I hope this review would help anyhow. Thank you, Ali.

All in all a total nice experience, especially due to the STAFF! The service from the guys Serena & Alessandro was exceptional. Everytime they helped me out when I needed something. I never experienced such hospitality, patience & warm-heartedness from hostel workers. Thank you a lot, I really appreciate that and I will take it with me as a good memory from Italy! I loved the terrace, the view, the breakfast and the location. For a hostel the rooms were as well clean and it was easy to meet and talk with people. In case you wanted your peace, that is also possible - its up to you.

Beautiful view and I got a free upgrade! Loved it and would definitely go back. Dorm was big with lots of space and a nice big patio too. The staff were so friendly and helpful, helped me with my suitcase. There are some steps to get up but it was okay. Only thing is that it’s a fair walk down to the port/main area, my legs are so sore from the steps

Staff were helpful View was lovely. Room was spacious. Good natural lights. Location was good - best to come via bus as very closely located to bus stop. Great hot shower. Towels included in the stay.

No ability to cook. However, groceries weren't very affordable in the local area but would have been nice to have facilities to make a sandwich, boil eggs, etc. However, they do offer you the ability to leave your things in the fridge and heat things up for you in the microwave. They also provide cheap meals - 5eurp for a pizza etc. No hand towels in the bathroom.

Wow! A hostel that feels like a hotel! The hostel is so charming, a little piece of Italy, with the most stunning views from the common area/balcony, and my room also had an amazing balcony to relax in. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Very nice hostel with a deck that overlooks the ocean and some of the rooms with balconies overlooking the ocean! The beds are comfy for bunk beds. Each bed has an individual light and curtain to pull closed which is really great. Staff is very friendly and super helpful with logistics. They send super helpful instructions to you about getting to the hostel beforehand--read them! And definitely use the porters to have your bag brought up from the ferry--best $15 you'll spend on the Amalfi Coast!!

The road that the hostel is on is very busy and very noisy. The road is just under the deck (the only common area) so it is constant loud traffic going by. It's also very curvy and got a shoulder that is about 6" wide so it is terrifying to walk on. It's quite high up on the hill so feels a little remote and if you go down to the main area there are so many steps up that you need to take a bus up. It was the beginning of Oct and high season so there was so much noise and traffic. Obviously nothing the hostel can do about that, but the person I talked to who was trying to work remotely was having a lot of difficulty. The ensuite bathroom was kind of ick. Very moist and dark. (But I just used the shared ones which were very good.)

I stayed in the all female dorm ocean view and the view itself was definitely worth it! Stunning location and a highlight place to stay! Beds were comfy and bathroom was very clean. We had the whole balcony to ourselves and the sunset view each night was perfect to say the least. Our beds had recently been upgraded from the standard steel bunks to new wooden bunks which was quite a nice touch/surprise considered how expensive each night was to stay but was standard for Positano.

I didn't like however we had to put on our own covers and pillow cases on for our stay (making your bed is standard but not having to fully put bedding on and strip them off and take them to reception. We did the work for them!) Considering how much we paid, you would expect a bit more service and a welcome drink like other hostels to make the stay even better. I paid $250 per night which I would easily get a nice 4-5 star private room in australia, but its the only hostel in Positano. On top the only annoying thing was there was no charging port available for each bed.

I never thought I’d say this, but staying at Hostel Brikette completely changed my view on hostels in the best possible way. I usually lean toward hotels, but with Positano’s high prices and my short stay, I decided to give this place a try. It turned out to be one of the best travel decisions I’ve made. I stayed in the all-female dorm, which was not only beautifully designed but also spotlessly clean and surprisingly serene. The views from the terrace were postcard-perfect and the atmosphere was both relaxed and genuinely welcoming. The staff were beyond friendly, always ready to help with a smile, and the other guests brought such a warm, open vibe. It felt like a true community. I left with memories, stories, and even a few new friends. If you're on the fence about hostels, or unsure about Positano on a budget, trust me: this place is a gem. I would go back in a heartbeat.
