I absolutely loved my stay at Casa Guadagno in Positano! The location is excellent (while there are some stairs to get there, it’s completely normal in Positano as the town is built on a cliff). Restaurants are nearby, and to reach the beach you go down a series of stairs that offer breathtaking views along the way. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a wide variety of sweet and savory options to satisfy every taste. The area is very peaceful, perfect for a relaxing escape from the big city. The staff are extremely welcoming and attentive. I truly A-D-O-R-E-D my stay and would happily come back!

This place is a 10/10, would highly recommend staying here. I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was. The breakfast was amazing and included with the price. Rooms were clean and comfortable with access to a balcony and an extremely friendly hotel cat! Staff were very helpful and kind, providing maps and suggestions for shopping and restaurants. You are 400 steps down to the beach, and then a short walk to the main town centre for shopping and eating. Otherwise it’s a 15 minute walk to downtown with minimal stairs. I would definitely stay here again.

Be warned, there are stairs everywhere so accessibility would be an issue.

The staff were very helpful and always friendly. The property was clean, nice and we had a wonderful view. We had air-conditioning, which wasn’t always the case, as some places we stay did not have it. We had a huge veranda that allowed us to sit outside and enjoy a very nice view of the Med. The location was close enough to be able to walk to everything. I’ll be far enough away, not to be in the crush of tourist off the ferries.

If you are from the U.S. just understand that bathrooms can be very different from what we are used to and in some cases, a bit challenging. This usually arises from very small showers & bathrooms. Ours was no exception. My wife was a little put off that the sink was in the shower. It was clean and perfectly usable and just something you have to get used to when staying in almost any place that wasn’t a purpose built hotel. It’s part of the charm! The breakfast was a little bit more of a continental breakfast. It was nice, but we would’ve liked to have seen a little bit more in the way of proteins, i.e. eggs, bacon, sausage, and a wider variety of pastries. All in all it was still pretty good and the view was beautiful.

The location was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed the room. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating. They gave us water when we arrived and went over a map with information about the area. They even let us check out a bit later than scheduled because of the timing of our transportation out of Positano. The breakfast buffet was great too! They had a lot of options and when you arrived they would offer to make you coffee. Wonderful service!

The balcony was a great size with an amazing view, but it was positioned across a walkway where other guest were staying so we didn't have much privacy. We heard multiple people talking about using our balcony as they walked past. We stayed in the Quadruple Room with Sea View, for reference.

didn’t like the walk from the bus stop! a lot of steps and very difficult with luggage. thought we would have a room with a nice view and balcony however didn’t have much of a view from the balcony we had. bit disappointed as it was our honeymoon

A beautiful stay in a gorgeous room with terrace and partial sea view. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very relaxing. Clean and delightful. The breakfast is plentiful and there is a coffee machine in the room, and a kettle available if you need one. The mini market is very useful for water and drinks. The little orange bus drops you nearby (from Mulini Piazza). A quieter part of Positano, with local restaurants. The beach Fornillo is 400 steps. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you

There is nothing to dislike. Positano is very busy and there are a lots of steps to climb, but this is a peaceful cool sanctuary

Gorgeous, big hotel room with fantastic views over the sea from a private balcony. Fantastic breakfast from an outdoor terrace, lovely staff, and very comfortable bed. Close to the very lovely smaller beach of Positano that is slightly less crowded.

Very small bathroom, difficult for two people to use with the sink inside the shower. Very expensive, although on par with the rest of Positano. Slightly outside from the main town, about a 25 minute steep walk to the hotel.

The property is close to everything — including a bus stop that circles Positano. This is really important since Positano is truly a city of stairs. Some places can be over 150 stairs to get to them, but Casa Guadagno is only about 30. Our hosts were really lovely and super helpful. The room we had was clean, comfortable, and even had a little patio. The air conditioner worked really well. The views were amazing! The WiFi was good enough for video calls.

The staff at this hotel were outstanding. Great communications - even prior to our arrival. They even helped us to arrange a private transfer from the airport in Naples to the hotel. Our view was amazing as well. We had a large balcony to sit and enjoy the view. We rented two rooms - one for us, and one for our adult children, and both rooms were great. We really enjoyed our stay here.

It was on the pricey side, but I think that the pricing was in line for Positano. I was pleased with the rooms, views and service for what we paid.

The facilities are clean and well maintained, the charm is undeniable, the breakfast delightful, and the staff is spectacular. We particularly enjoyed the relatively easy access to Fornillo and the overall quiet centrality of the hotel.
