I really enjoyed my 5 night stay at Hotel Milton. My room was a lovely surprise; it had a private terrace with table and chairs and a lounger, and an abundance of blooming star jasmine which smelled so good. The room was very spacious, especially for a European hotel. There is an outdoor patio area where you can eat and drink. While I did not eat at the hotel, they had a blackboard special every night that included a glass of wine and I felt it was reasonably priced. The bed was so comfortable. The location was wonderful. It is not in a main tourist area of Rome, but there was an abundance of restaurants, lounges, gelato stores, and mini markets within a 2 block radius. Additionally, it is directly across the street from the Manzoni metro station. There are two bus stops right outside the hotel also, one on each street of the intersection. Getting around was a breeze. I used both the metro and the buses multiple times and had no problems. Depending on the time of day and day of week, taxi to the Termini train station took 10-25 minutes. Also, if you are interested in touring the Domus Aurea (Nero's Golden Palace), it's walking distance- about 15 minutes. I highly recommend it, I enjoyed it a lot more than the Colosseum, but reservations are a must and it is not open every day. There was a very enjoyable little "snack bar" right across the street (same side of street as the metro) that served breakfast, lunch, dinner, and wine, as well as having items such as bottled water, soda, and snacks for sale. It was a great breakfast option that I used every morning. The neighborhood was quiet and I felt safe walking around it, as a single woman (until my friends arrived on day 4) It was so enjoyable staying in a part of town where there are not tourists everywhere and the restaurants are authentic and filled with Italians. I highly recommend Hotel MIlton for its rooms, patio, and for its neighborhood.

Some of the front desk staff were not particularly friendly. For example, the front desk clerk seemed appalled when I arrived at 9:00 am and very definitely told me that I was too early for 2:00 pm check in. However, I was not asking for early check-in. I had just arrived on a train from Florence and simply wanted to drop off my luggage before heading out on a full day of booked tours, and I believe I had said as much in my reservation request. This one particular employee seemed to be pained by my being there and I always felt like I was being a bother (asking to have luggage stored on day 1, asking for a cab to be ordered) I thought it was me but when my friends arrived, they began referring to him as Mr. Snippy.

The hotel has character, beds are very comfortable which is so important after long walking and lots of visiting in Rome, each day. We had a spacious room, with a large bathroom, every day cleaning with fresh towels. Loved the coffee machine in the room and the inner courtyard terrace. Breakfast was really nice, good choice of hot or cold food, fruits, and cakes every day. Great location to get to everywhere by train, walking or by taxi.

Nothing I can think of. This is a hotel that may need some carpet work in the hallways, but given the size of it and its history, and current purpose, it won’t make a huge difference. Its location is great, and having a room facing the inner courtyard made such a difference for 7 good nights of sleep!

We had a free upgrade of the room, it was quite nice. We stayed in their suite. It's a decent hotel and the location is great as you can walk pretty much everywhere.

The staff try to sell everything- restaurant, bar, room's upgrade which sometimes it's a bit too much but understandable.

The price was good and the breakfast was very good!!! The best ASSET of the property was the staff member MARK! From the moment we checked in he was an ASSET. Professional, extremely knowledgeable and friendly, Mark was able to guide us through any situation. His suggestions regarding dinner were right on point and he also understood exactly what I was looking to find (religious artifacts) and directed me to the precise location where the prices were reasonable. Thanks to Mark I had a successful and safe journey into the city area

The dining experience was somewhat disappointing. There were signs advertising the dining menu but we were directed out to the GREEN BAR that had a limited menu. The bartender in the Green Bar was very accommodating. We were able to find something to eat but not the dishes that were advertised

First of all, Purpose of travel was more on Visiting the Holy See. Location was perfect for us, since the subway station is just across the street, Tram Station is just right outside the Hotel and Termini Station is just one station away. Basilica of Mary Major, San Giovani Laterano and Basilica San Croce were 13-15 Minutes walk. Basilica Vaticano is 8 Stops away from Manzoni Station. Coloseum is just 3 Stops away with Bus from across the Hotel. Breakfast everyday is also good, although its the same foods everyday. Grocery store is also just 3 Minutes walk from the Hotel. Overall, we are Satisfied with the price and for 6 days Stay its a good catch.

Nothing.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel! The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options to start the day right. The location was also very convenient — close to public transport, making it easy to get around the city. A special shoutout to Mark, who truly made our stay exceptional! He was incredibly friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond — he definitely deserves a round of applause. The rest of the staff were also kind and welcoming. All in all, a great experience!

The only downside to our stay was that I had quite a lot of trouble with ants in the room, and I also experienced some allergy issues from the bedding. However, as soon as I mentioned it to the front desk, I noticed that housekeeping really made an effort to improve the situation, which I appreciated.

It is really lovely and centrally located by metro trams and buses right outside the hotel. Breakfast was good and so are the morning wait staffs. The rooms are big even if it is standard. Paul the front office receptionist was awesome and spoke Italian, fluent English and Portuguese to my surprise. Really an asset to the property and very helpful. He also recommended the restaurant in the hotel for dinner and a local restaurant just next to the hotel that serves homemade style dishes. The TV has Netflix and Amazon for you to log on. Will surely stay there again and recommend this hotel as it’s close to all the sites.

Just a suggestion to have a shelf made in the bathroom for keeping your own shampoos or conditioners if you don’t want to use the hotel product which is also good.

The Hotel Milton Roma is well situated, only a 15 minute walk from the Colosseum and Forum, with a Metro station and tram stop right outside. It is only two Metro stations away from Termini railway station and has a few small supermarkets nearby. My room was facing onto the street, so there was some noise from traffic outside but not enough to disturb my sleep. The room had a rather comfy double bed and a rainfall shower. The room was cleaned and restocked every day. Breakfast was good, with a wide choice of options but was very busy on Saturday at 8am, which led to some grumbles from a few fellow guests. Seating, although plentiful, was tightly packed that morning. There is also a small restaurant/bar, serving evening meals but I did not use it. I enjoyed my 3-night stay and I have stayed in a few European hotels that cost more but provided less so, overall, I was happy with my stay.

Breakfast was decent, nice selection of options available. Room was comfortable and clean. Lovely Court yard for drinks in evening.

This is not feedback on the hotel itself more an FYI for those looking to stay here - the hotel is a good 15-20 minute walk to the collesseum, and 30 -40 from other attractions, this was fine for us as we like to walk but might not be everyone's cup of tea.
