The breakfast was very good. Staff all spoke English and worked hard to ensure you had a good stay with them. The hotel is very close to the train station (a few blocks) but far enough away to not be bothered by the crowds. The hop on/hop off tours start near the train station. There are a number of restaurants, a grocery store and a taxi stand within walking distance.

There are a few homeless people who sleep on a grassy area not too far from the hotel. But they seemed to go elsewhere during the day and were never a problem when we would walk to dinner at night.

The location is perfect both for travelling from/to airport and visiting attractions, e.g. Colosseum, Trevi fountain, Pantheon. Everyting is 20 min of walk. The room is small, but you ger everything you need- fridge, safe, a/c, hair dryer, tea bags, coffee capsules, spoons, forks etc. The bad is large and mattress is firm (I personally liked it). Breakfast: It’s perfect for those, who likes bakery most.

The location is amazing, right next to the termina station. So easy to get around from there and to the airport. Staff were very helpful and the room was super spacious for all our suitcases too!

We are a young couple and this was perfect location because everything to see is in 20-30min distance. We never even used the metro or buses. Our room was clean and tidy, reception was nice and available 24/7 for help and recommendations. We did’t use the included breakfast, but we ate in their bakery and drank their espresso and everything was delicious! All members of the staff were very polite.

Sound isolation could be a potential small issue - not from the outside but from the inside, other rooms. In our case it was very very insignificant issue, but maybe it could be a bigger one if other guests are loud

Staff were lovely - friendly and helpful. Kept our luggage for the day when we checked in and out. Rooftop terrace is a great space for yoga or a morning coffee (bring your own from the room or the lobby). Beds very comfortable, rooms neat and clean. Nice to have access to a little coffee machine in the lobby. Easy access location very close to Roma Termini. Great value for money (at least for Rome hotel prices).

Rooms are a little small so I wouldn't want to hang out in them. The basement (for toilets before/after you check in/out) and access to the rooftop were a bit dirty, these areas don't seem to get much use. Didn't have breakfast but it appeared relatively basic for the price (€15/person/day).

We stayed at Hotel Moderno for just one night — arriving in Rome late in the evening and leaving the next morning — and it turned out to be the perfect choice for that kind of trip. The hotel is located very close to Termini Station, which makes it ideal either as a stopover or as a convenient starting point for exploring the city, since the historic center is within walking distance. Despite our late arrival, the receptionist welcomed us warmly around midnight and handled the check-in quickly and efficiently. The room was fully equipped, the bathroom was clean and comfortable, and overall everything was in perfect order. We also enjoyed a nice breakfast before our departure — a big thank you to the staff for making our short stay so smooth and pleasant.

A great location for exploring Rome, at a reasonable price, chosen specifically to be close to Termini. Lovely staff. Really enjoyed breakfast, just sitting with a coffee and cornetto chilling (didn't need the buffet breakfast).

Slept poorly (in wonderfully comfortable bed) because I was just too hot. I think air con was off for the winter? Stayed in room 507 and my husband who is quite a large man (and has had a stroke) struggled to get in and out shower as the entry gap was narrow and no handrails. Would not put me off returning, for pure convenience.

The staff were very friendly. Many thanks to Emma and Suzan for their attention and kind attitude. The location of the property was excellent. When you arrive at the train station, you are greeted by a very large area with many exits. However, if you exit through the door where the market is located and walk straight towards the opposite street, you can easily find the property. It would be very helpful if the hotel provided a small note indicating which exit to take. The property is easily accessible from Rome Fiumicino Airport via the Leonardo Express train.

In my first review I was quite disappointed with the attitude of the staff during my stay at this hotel. The service did not meet my expectations, and it affected my overall experience. Follow-up Review: After my initial review, I received a response from the hotel manager, who was very understanding and offered me a complimentary room upgrade for my next stay. I appreciate the thoughtful gesture and the willingness to address my concerns. I absolutely loved Rome, and I’m excited to return this autumn. I’m curious to see if my previous experience was just a one-time occurrence. Looking forward to giving the hotel another chance.

We were greeted by a young receptionist who seemed annoyed that we had come to her hotel. I got a room on the 1st floor and politely asked if it could be on a higher floor. Without even checking the computer, she replied that it wasn’t possible. I stayed on the 1st floor in a poorly soundproofed room.
