Staff, when present, were exceptional, but the staff not always there. Building was built in around 1100 AD! Staying in a part of history. View from the roof is amazing. Location was excellent. 10-25 minute walk to Piazza di Vittorio Emanuel, Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps, The Colosseum, Piazza Navona; only major attraction it is far from is the Vatican… that was a 40 minute walk. The room itself was large, bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

While the bathroom was nice it was rather small - particularly the shower. The lift to go upstairs is claustrophobic. I understand the need for both these situations… it is a historic home built tall and narrow, and all these modern conveniences are retrofit.

Loved the location, the atmosphere, and the staff. The feeling of staying in a medieval tower can’t be described. It was adorable! The bed was comfortable. The area was spacious. The bathroom was unique and had plenty of space and amenities. (No tiny shower without water pressure!) There is a delicious gelato place and market for extra waters just next door. they refilled our fridge with waters, juice, and Coke and Fanta daily, though, as well as our coffees and teas (with a hot pot and Nespresso maker). The roof has great views and a really unique spiral staircase to access it with chairs and tables, though it was too hot during the day the city lit at night was beautiful!

Nothing was bad or differed from our expectations of staying in a medieval tower. We had hiccups with the blow dryer flipping a fuse but the staff fixed it immediately. We couldn’t get the nespresso machine to work but again they addressed it immediately. They aren’t there 24/7, but they were VERY attentive to anything we needed. I didn’t expect American air conditioning so I was not bothered, but do note the AC doesn’t get super cold.

A unique and special place to stay in Rome What a beautiful and truly special place for a hotel – such a cool experience! We later found out the building once belonged to an old noble family that owned land in Rome. That really added something to the atmosphere. The room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom was spotless, apart from one small detail – the hairdryer still had a few hairs on it, unfortunately. Also, a couple of the cups near the minibar weren’t very clean, which was a bit disappointing. There was a lovely coffee machine with pods, but it seemed like it hadn’t been descaled in a while – barely any coffee came out. That said, the overall experience was still great and quite unique. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was spacious and peaceful, perfect for relaxing after a day in the city. The staff were extremely friendly and happy to help. We even received a €30 discount after mentioning the difference between last-minute prices and standard rates – a very generous and professional gesture. Definitely a recommended stay, especially if you’re looking for something with character and history!

Its a great place to stay, super friendly staff, great location but I had one comment I also made to the staff and one serious concern about fire safety: - The heating could not be turned off, airco was disabled and could not be turned on, we ended up sleeping with windows open which was extremely loud and unconfortable. I mentioned this to the staff but it could not be resolved due to general heating settings etc.. - In case of fire there is absolutely no way out, maybe you'd make it to the roof but imo this is very unlikely since there are only the central stairs of the tower. There are no smoke sensors at all.

The location and the architectural originality of being in an ancient and medieval architectural building in the very art of the city!

No breakfast is served in the hotel!! I would have liked that, based on that “no breakfast is served” that at least a list of close bars, restaurants or taverns nearby is proposed for a rapid breakfast or a coffee!! Good point for the free cold drinks and Nespresso’s cups made available in the room!! Some additional snacks and biscuits would have been not bad!! For the price per night… it would be the least to expect!

Very private room, each room is in its own floor, so you don't have to worry too much about being noisy and I haven't even crossed the other guests. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Central and very handy location.

Minor annoyances only. The curtains don't block the light quite completely (although I gotta admit I'm just a bit picky about that). The location is great but noisy. It isn't their fault of course, just a lot of car noise in the morning. So maybe don't go to sleep way too late like I did :D

A unique hotel with superb staff. I couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. The room was wonderful, with wonderful features, including a four-poster bed, a large bathroom with quality products and a walk in wardrobe. The free and generous mini bar was a lovely surprise! The bed was very comfortable.

Very central, quirky, amazing views from the rooftop, great service from Randy who was onsite and available almost the whole time we were there.

Could probably do with some maintenance to get back to 4* status - bath in our room couldn’t be used (so more of a feature than functional) but that wasn’t an issue, rooftop garden is an asset but could be made so much better with a bit of update (rail going around the top needs replacing). Again not a problem for us and we loved sitting up there with a drink admiring the amazing views. Minibar door not closing properly.

Absolutely fantastic location, great building, rooms have lots of character and fab rooftop views. It's not perfect in terms of amenities, some might argue it's due a bit of an overhaul, but it's excellent value for money and a lovely little gem of a hotel for a Rome city break.

Very kind staff. Excellent location, right between the main tourist attractions Coloseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon. Very clean, equipped with.mini fridge, full of free drinks, coffee maker and tea water fryer. From the top floor terrace you can manage Traian's Column and part of the city. Everything was wonderful!
