The highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly the breakfast—an absolute must for every guest. Every morning at 6:45, the scent of freshly baked croissants fills the air. You can head down to a beautifully set table with fresh flowers and enjoy Alpen Yogurt from the mountainous region of Sterzing Vipiteno, whole-grain toast with mortadella, organic eggs, and an incredible espresso. And don’t forget to share a piece of your croissant with my little sparrow on the terrace! In the evening, you can use the token received at check-in to enjoy either an avocado, strawberry, and blueberry smoothie or a glass of prosecco on the veranda. The staff is another highlight—polite, always smiling, and welcoming. Staying here feels like visiting old friends. Upon check-in, the hotel provides a carefully curated and frequently updated list of the best dining spots in different parts of Rome. We tested it, and every place was delicious, authentic, and full of locals—far from the usual tourist traps. The room is a perfect mix of design, comfort, and history, with a stunning view of Roman ruins, a great bed, and fast Wi-Fi (5 Mbps). And finally, the location—just a 3-minute walk from a road with breathtaking sunrise views of the Colosseum, yet nestled in a quiet and peaceful area. I was reluctant at first to book this hotel ,because you’re so many hotels in rome to choose from.. I only had one day in Rome and I needed to make it a great day so I can see everything there. This Boutique hotel is situated in the area that is close to everything you are around the corner from the Roman Fourm and few steps away from the collusuem the major sites are all in walking distance, they have dining suggestions that are phenomenal everything that this hotel was exceeded my expectations. The people were kind and Im far from looking european so I wasn’t sure how I was gonna be treated, but they treated me with extra special kindness imo. It was perfect. I can’t complain about anything. there was literally nothing to complain about when I tell you the hospitality was impeccable. It was impeccable, absolutely impeccable. The breakfast was amazing. The bonus drink when we walked was unexpected, and we still completely welcome and refreshed , everything was top notch. I spent a few days a week this was gonna be my hotel and I am reluctant to give such a great review because I actually want to go back and be able to afford thishotel. It was just absolutely phenomenal 12 stars beyond four amazing.

We stayed for one night with our child, and the hotel’s location was excellent—just a few minutes’ walk from the Colosseum. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. The food was good, with complimentary drinks available, and the breakfast was outstanding. One staff member went above and beyond by assisting us with our luggage and accommodating our needs. I would highly recommend this place, especially for families traveling with kids.

Nothing to dislike

We had booked 4 nights in Rome at another location - unfortunately after our third night we made the difficult decision to move our last night in Rome somewhere else as it had failed to meet our expectations. Nerva was like arriving to an oasis. They were so incredibly friendly and professional and we felt very well taken care of. Don't be deceived by the 3 star rating, I assume this is purely based on facilities provided but as a comfortable base to Rome with incredible rooms and 5 star breakfast, we can only say positive things and I would honestly rate this 5 stars based on our experience.

Couldn't be happier with this hotel we picked for our family trip. Fantastic location being walking distance to a lot of Rome's top sites, but tucked away on a small side street that allowed for a more intimate stay. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious, options were plentiful. But really it was the friendly staff that topped our overall experience. Nerva's front desk was wonderful about helping us avoid tourist traps and making reservations to some excellent restaurants within the area. Walking thru the picturesque side streets to/from dinners provided for the ultimate Rome experience.

Nerva hotel is a perfect boutique hotel for travelers wanting the total immersion experience. Located in a close vicinity of all Rome's attractions gives you a perfect starting point to enjoy the Eternal City. Friendly, cheerful and super helpful staff makes your stay even more enjoyable. Great espresso in the morning for the kickstart, fancy cocktails in the evening to wind down - it's all there and it's all perfect! Loved it and will return!

Disclaimer - it is not a dislike, it's an advice for certain type of travellers. If you are a big guy (6.5"+) please mind that it's an old building in Europe - ask for a bigger bath if available:-)

The location of this hotel is great. Very close to lots of sights. The beds are very comfortable and our room overlooked a courtyard. The staff are all lovely and helpful and the breakfast was excellent in the cute little restaurant downstairs. We used their car service for a ride to the airport and the driver (wish I could remember his name) was so amazing.

I booked one of the smaller rooms and if I were to book again I would go with a bigger room. The bathroom is very small with very little extra room. It was a very clean and nice however just too small.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is a 5' walk from Colosseum and a 15' walk from Fontana Di Trevi. The Aurora restaurant offers delicious breakfast (the pacnakes, omg) and, the staff of the hotel is super friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay guys - we felt like home!

The only downside of our stay at Nerva, is that the room which was the basic one, was too small. We did not have enough space to open up our luggages. Not sure how the other rooms look like in terms of capacity.

Great location within walking distance of all the main attractions in central Rome. There was a good choice at Breakfast all made to order with speedy service. The stand out attraction of this hotel are the staff who provide great service and are the most welcoming and friendliest I have ever encountered.

If’s not perfect, our bathroom was rather cramped, but don’t let details like that put you off - choose this hotel for a delightful stay in Rome.

The little building and they way the space was used for bar and also dining was well-done. Decor and music fun as well. The staff ALL so charming and helpful. Rooms well appointed although quite small. Loved opening the windows to the street and sounds - a small bonus.

The side street would be wonderful without the scaffolding, graffiti and great deal of trash. Nerva would do well to daily pickup the trash front, left and right across the street and also add some more flower boxes to hide the scaffolding unfortunately placed by Rome for ruin renovation and protection.
