What an amazing discovery this hotel! Perfect location to walk around Siena and with a free parking which is rare for Italy. The family room was big and cozy and the cleaning was immaculate! One night we tried the restaurant and while it didn't have reviews, we can attest that it was delicious, lovely presented and with a lovely wine selection. The bonus of this hotel is their staff. From the reception, the waiters at the breakfast and dinner everyone has the right attitude, very polite, helpful and attentive to the last detail. We enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay by 1 night. Our small kids were also attended to, every day there was something given to them during breakfast and they always had an adaptable chair for the youngest. Lastly, I lost an earring in the sink and they had a technician come and find it within an hour. We travel a lot as a family of 4 in various countries and hotels like this one really make the difference in hospitality. Keep it up!

That our holidays ended and couldn't stay more!

This was by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Located right on the edge of the city walls, it offers breathtaking views of the Tuscan hills and is just a short, safe walk from the city centre. It was absolutely perfect! The hotel’s location couldn’t be better, and its atmosphere beautifully combines the charm of the ancient city with modern comforts, giving you the best of both worlds. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, especially Tommaso, who went out of his way to help us park our car (a task that would have been quite challenging otherwise). Our stay was completely stress free and relaxing thanks to everything the hotel provided. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, and the breakfast was far better than it appeared in the photos. In fact, the entire hotel was cleaner, nicer, and more welcoming than we had expected from the pictures. We stayed here with our two young children, and the staff were wonderfully accommodating, making everything so much easier for us. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a stay in Siena.

The Staff was exceptional! All staff members were professional, friendly, knowledgeable and were able to answer any questions we had as travellers to the region. Beautiful view of the Tuscan lands from our room and very clean. The room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was fantastic and a variety of food to choose from and was part of my package. We had dinner in the hotel a few nights and it was very good and all dishes were delicious and the portions were a fair size.

The room was a little snug for a quadruple room for 4 people but very clean. The parking was a little tight, we had a large vehicle and at times difficult to park.

Position, parking and amazing staff

The deluxe room was smaller than expected with a smaller than advertised balcony with no sunbed or comfy cushions on outside furniture. No bath as advertised either.

Very well located hotel close to the historic center. perfect for visit. Very friendly and professional staff. nice large rooms, romantic view on the city and surroundings.

Some kids were very noisy late at night in adjacent rooms. A pity when you own kids are quiet and don't bother others. We appreciated the effective staff intervention when need to get calm back.

Everything. The staff was exceptionally helpful, the room was great, the hotel was spotless, the location great... only 4 blocks from the incredible Piazza Del Campo and 2 blocks from shops and restaurants yet the area around the hotel was quiet and right on the city wall with beautiful vistas from the roof's patio. The hotel's restaurant was wonderful. The included breakfast was delicious with loads of choices from meats, sausages, eggs to fruits and veggies plus fresh pastries that were exceptional. ( The custard filled Corronti con crema should not be missed ) To sum it up I will always choos the Athena when I return to Siena which I hope to do soon. All in all it was a wonderful magical stay. The best of our almost month long European vacation.

The staff were very friendly, extremely helpful and capable. In fact without the help of one member of the hotel staff my car rental would have been a significant problem. The terrace of our 8th floor room was nice but would have been much better if it had been located on the other side of the building as it would have then had a view over the rolling Tuscan countryside.

The location of the hotel, downhill from Siena centre, was not favourable for people who have problems walking. Car access to the centre was a no-go because of the ZTL. The dinner menu could have been more extensive with some changing specials.

The location of the hotel can t be beaten, the city centre is in close walking distance, but it is still quiet. The hotel comes within a big bonus, namely parking; although our car is very long the staff always found a solution/space. The staff are certainly one of the hotel's main assets, everybody in the hotel was very nice, prior to and during our stay. The rooms and bathrooms have a correct size, the decor is somewhat old-fashioned, but that^s all a matter of taste. Overall we had a very good stay. The dinner we had was also very good.

We did not like the breakfast room; it was packed, very loud and had the atmosphere of a station cafeteria. Fortunately one morning they opened a second breakfast room, this should always be made available when the hotel is pretty full, otherwise you feel very crammed.

The staff was fantastic. While the rooms were rather bland (but still comfortable), the staff and the team's attention to detail (cleanliness, mini-fridge, parking instructions etc) made it feel like a top notch experience! And the location is fantastic - near everything, but removed enough to feel like a calm retreat with beautiful terrace views of Tuscany's rolling hills.

Nothing to complain about! The rooms themselves are quite bland - nothing to write home about. With that said, they are clean, comfortable, and everything that a bedroom needs to be!

Only a few minutes walking to the duomo through streets with small cute restaurants along the way. Driving in, leaving the car in a secure back yard and getting on my way is a comfort and made me more relaxed about driving in a foreign country. Everyone was super nice and attentive, yet the place is big enough so you don’t feel like you have to talk (unless you feel like it.) Really nice to have water and coffee/tea station in the room.

Room a bit small, long and narrow, so if I was traveling with someone might be a problem. Perhaps ask at check-in if they have some less narrow rooms.
