Beautiful and authentic old hotel with the right maintainace. We paid for the seaview room and it was absolutely worth it, enjoyed the views from the terrace (stunning). Breakfast was good for the hotel level and it was served in a beautiful dining room with an adjhacent terrace. Great location with private parking walking distance from everything in Taormina.
Overall it was expensive, however Taormina overall is overpriced so it was cheaper than other options that I am sure are not as good.

From the moment we arrived, everything about Hotel Bel Soggiorno felt right. The staff were friendly and professional, the hotel was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the views were simply breathtaking. Breakfast was excellent, and the overall atmosphere made us genuinely glad we had chosen to stay here. A thoughtful touch—we left early on checkout and the kitchen prepared a little takeaway bag for the road. We also appreciated the old-school charm of leaving the key at the front desk, which meant no need to carry it around. One of our favourite moments was reading on our private terrace, shaded by an umbrella and soaking in the warm glow of the Sicilian sun. Just a beautiful, feel-good stay from start to finish.
Had no hot water on the first night of our stay, but it was fixed the next day

We loved our stay at this exceptional hotel. It is a beautiful characterful building, with stunning views from all the rooms, set in colourful parklike grounds. We had a beautiful balcony overlooking the garden and sea. The long hallway was full of wonderful and interesting artwork on the walls with an amazing arched window framing Mt Etna in the distance. The breakfasts were amazing and dining room position was wonderful. Great quiet location yet very close to the centre of Taormina walking through the park and along charming lanes, also a great walk down to the beach nearby. The staff were lovely. I would most definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting this gorgeous town.

We LOVED this absolutely gorgeous hotel in Taormina! And I mean gorgeous! The rooms were great and had doors that opened onto a beautiful terrace overlooking the Mediterranean, with table/chairs/loungers for each room. Very well-tended gardens all around. The interiors were decorated in "old" Italian style, lots of character. There is a lounge for drinks with high ceilings and Italian furniture, beautifully decorated. And I can't say enough about the buffet breakfast. Absolutely fantastic with so much choice, everything excellent. Cheese, salads, juices, baked goods, sweets, eggs, hot dishes, even had tiramisu! Every morning we were there (3), the breakfast offerings were slightly different which was also great. And of course, when you sit down someone comes to get your cappuccino order right away! The breakfast room had soaring ceilings and huge windows, and an adjoining sunny terrace where we ate, all with an uninterrupted view to the sea. The hotel (and all of Taormina) is built on a steep hillside, so the roads are pretty windy and steep. Bel Soggiorno is not quite in Taormina proper (which is a good thing because it can be packed with people), but it is only a short staircase up to the main part of town. You really can't get more picturesque than this place! I'd recommend staying at this well-tended hotel!
It was all good!

Beautiful hotel. Wonderful view from the lounge and balcony over the sea and you can see Mt Etna to the south. Staff were excellent. The breakfast was really good- they even had Tiramisu and other sweets. The car park is in the driveway and the entrance is tight- it would be better to have a smaller size car. It is about a 10 min walk up hill to the area where there are some nice restaurants- especially one that overlooks Naxos which was excellent. It is about a 20 minute walk to the Theatre and the main historic part of town which is very crowded.. it is about 15 minutes downhill to get to the beach which is a pebbly beach. Steep walk back or you can take the gondola to come back. Room was a reasonable size. Shower/Bath. Taormina is a beautiful town to visit.

We liked everything about our 3 night stay. The hotel itself is well presented and felt very Sicilian with its style and decor. The staff could not do enough for you particularly at breakfast time which was a highlight because the food was great and there was nothing lovelier than the views whilst eating your breakfast. Our room looked out onto the garden and sea, amazing views of Etna. Room was clean and beds were comfy. Hotel is close to bus stop up the road somewhat and the bus station is a couple minutes further on. Walk into town is about 10 minutes, google maps will take you a quicker way but the staff tell you another way which I think because it’s a safer route. The quicker route takes you along the road and there is no pedestrian path, but we found it ok. We will definitely stay here again!
Not really a dislike but we would have found it helpful to have had the option to eat dinner at the hotel and not out each night. They’d do well having a buffet style dinner like they do breakfast

The room, itself, was basic but the view from the balcony was amazing. The breakfast provided much variety and I appreciated the staff specifically catering for my food intolerances. The hotel is a short walk from the centre of Taormina. Lots of restaurants to choose from.
The bathroom had a pungent smell despite having the bathroom window wide open. It was also very small. The room was also ‘very tired looking’. When I booked the room, parking was offered as ‘free’ but I received an email a few days prior saying it was 25 euros per night. Parking elsewhere was abysmal so we had no choice but to pay the extra.

The location is great. Wonderful views from the deck and the breakfast area. Away from the worst of the hustle and bustle, but not far to walk to the main shopping and restaurant areas or the cable car. The staff was super friendly, and very helpful parking the car or booking restaurant reservations. The breakfast was incredible. We are breakfast people and have high standards, but there was a ton of variety provided and all delicious. Although the hotel is rated 3 stars, we felt that it seemed more luxurious than that.
We booked a quad room, with a second level that had two twin beds. The main level had two twin beds pushed together, and a true queen or double bed mattress would be better. The main level was slightly cramped but adequate. Parking cost $25 per night, but seemed worthwhile in view of limited spaces in the town.

What a gorgeous, elegant hotel! A well preserved lovely old building. The views of the ocean and Mt. Etna are amazing. I loved the decor…the wooden shutter windows and doors, the triacria (3 legged symbol of Siclly) covering our round window, the big bathroom, the old paintings in the room and in the halls, wonderful maiolica ceramics scattered around and antique furniture in the huge salon. Very old school palazzo looking to me :) Good location for a short uphill walk to the city center. The staff was helpful…especially Dith who was so kind getting an early breakfast for us on our last day.
The bed/mattress could certainly use an upgrade.

We had the most incredible stay here. The hotel is such a beautiful Italian gem and the views from our balcony and for breakfast were just breaktaking. Shout out to all of the staff at this hotel who were nothing but kind during our stay. I sadly broke my foot on our holiday and I cannot express how kind the staff were in looking after us from booking taxis, bringing us food/ice/tea and helping us with whatever we needed. It made the disappointment of the accident so much easier to bear. Particularly want to mention Ajith who went out of his way to help us at all times and was so compassionate and kind. He gave us great recommendations and had such great knowledge of the area. Sadly don’t know the name of one of the other members of staff who helped us with his contacts at the hospital but we were really grateful - thank you. Also Sebastiano was amazing at encouraging us to try lots of the local cuisine during breakfast. He was so friendly in his service and often made us laugh. We definitely left a few kilograms heavier but the breakfast food was honestly amazing and totally worth it!! Wouldn’t hesitate coming back here. It’s a great location and walkable distance to everything in the town. Just don’t break your foot!!
Cannot honestly say I didn’t like anything about this hotel. Very highly recommended!
