Beautiful and authentic old hotel with the right maintainace. We paid for the seaview room and it was absolutely worth it, enjoyed the views from the terrace (stunning). Breakfast was good for the hotel level and it was served in a beautiful dining room with an adjhacent terrace. Great location with private parking walking distance from everything in Taormina.

Overall it was expensive, however Taormina overall is overpriced so it was cheaper than other options that I am sure are not as good.

We loved our stay at this exceptional hotel. It is a beautiful characterful building, with stunning views from all the rooms, set in colourful parklike grounds. We had a beautiful balcony overlooking the garden and sea. The long hallway was full of wonderful and interesting artwork on the walls with an amazing arched window framing Mt Etna in the distance. The breakfasts were amazing and dining room position was wonderful. Great quiet location yet very close to the centre of Taormina walking through the park and along charming lanes, also a great walk down to the beach nearby. The staff were lovely. I would most definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting this gorgeous town.

Very warm welcome. We parked at the hotel for free and we walked like 10 mins to the city center, very nice walk through the Villa Comunale park. The hotel is clean, very nice view and good breakfast. The room for the family was big with comfortable beds and nice balcony with amazing view.

We had the most incredible stay here. The hotel is such a beautiful Italian gem and the views from our balcony and for breakfast were just breaktaking. Shout out to all of the staff at this hotel who were nothing but kind during our stay. I sadly broke my foot on our holiday and I cannot express how kind the staff were in looking after us from booking taxis, bringing us food/ice/tea and helping us with whatever we needed. It made the disappointment of the accident so much easier to bear. Particularly want to mention Ajith who went out of his way to help us at all times and was so compassionate and kind. He gave us great recommendations and had such great knowledge of the area. Sadly don’t know the name of one of the other members of staff who helped us with his contacts at the hospital but we were really grateful - thank you. Also Sebastiano was amazing at encouraging us to try lots of the local cuisine during breakfast. He was so friendly in his service and often made us laugh. We definitely left a few kilograms heavier but the breakfast food was honestly amazing and totally worth it!! Wouldn’t hesitate coming back here. It’s a great location and walkable distance to everything in the town. Just don’t break your foot!!

Cannot honestly say I didn’t like anything about this hotel. Very highly recommended!

Spectacular view (I had a room with shared terrace overlooking the Ionian sea), breakfast was a very good mix of continental (cheese, ham, cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit) and local delicious handmade cakes, veggie pies, bruschette, frittatas. I loved the location, a hike down to the Isola bella' beach (15-20 minutes stairs that start from a a belvedere terrace) and about 5 minutes hike up to the villa comunale and center. Close to the best sites without the noise and the hustle of the tourists.

The parking for my car was initially scary because of the steepness and tightness of the parking ramp but the guys at the reception valet my car and took care of it.

Amazing view from the room and in general from the hotel terraces, not sure if all rooms have a view to the ocean but mine did and truly it was incredible. The installations are great they feel like a higher star ranked hotel, the attention from staff is very good and the breakfast is the best i had in my trip to Italy. Considering the price for everything in Taormina i consider this hotel as a great cost-benefit option

The only thing in the entire stay i could complain about is the bed, it was an old spring mattress that was not very comfortable, you could sleep in it so it was not a huge issue but definitely could improve considering that all the other installations are amazing and really taken car off. Location is good though you do have to walk up some big stairs and streets to reach the main touristic area (like 10-15 min maybe), but can't complain on this since the price of the hotel is quite affordable compared to the hotels closer to the main streets.

The breakfast exceeded our expectation; it was a buffet style, with the exception of the coffees. The hotel offered many choices, most homemade such as tiramisu (for breakfast!!), frittatas, crostini, yogurt, homemade tarts made with apricot and peach. Their coffee choices were extensive; the waiters took and served the coffee orders.

The staff is professional and friendly. They are proactive and responsive. We parked the car and they had it ready when we were ready to leave. Parking is impossible in Taormina and so, parking and paying the fee was appropriate. Now, getting into the parking lot is tricky if the car is bigger than a sedan. We drive a van and were grateful to hand off the keys. I did like the hotel's proximity to town; it is 10-12 minutes slightly uphill to historic Taormina. The views of Etna are terrific too! Of course, the Mediterranean views are also amazing.

Stunning location, overlooking the sea and mount Etna. The views from our terrace and when eating breakfast were phenomenal. The gardens are well tended, with lots of fruit trees. Our room was big, with a terrace. We sat on the terrace in the morning and enjoyed the sunrise. Outside our room the terrace isn’t private, I had thought the terrace would be private but it’s shared by other rooms, it’s also used as a walkway to get to other rooms. The breakfast was plentiful with a great many choices. The staff were all very friendly. We didn’t pay for parking, we found a space a few minutes down the road.

A breathtaking view from our room - and indeed, from all parts of the hotel. A very good and imaginative breakfast, including oranges picked in the hotel's lovely garden. There were no facilities for cooked lunch or supper, but one could ask at the bar for a 'sandwich' - a large filled roll.

Our room was basic, redeemed by the balcony. The ten-minute walk up a stony path onto the level to get into town properly was not ideal, but that was our problem as much as the hotel's!

The shared terrace in front of the lower rooms offered spectacular sea views over a beautiful garden, with lounge chairs and an outdoor table and chairs as well for each room. It was a very pleasant and relaxing place to spend a quiet day. It was great to have on-site parking and even better that the staff parks the car for you, since the parking is down a curving sloped driveway that fills up by nighttime. The center of Taormina is a short but steep walk, on a small section of the road then up pedestrian stairs. A level of fitness is required to do this walk, and it is also easy and quick to have a taxi called to bring you to the center (and taxis regularly pick people up at taxi stands at either end of the town center). We also walked the much longer but very scenic path down to the Isola Bella beach area (and back up, we enjoy the exercise). The hotel has a very charming early 20th century ambiance that we loved. Breakfast was excellent with an enormous variety of savory and sweet options. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

I loved everything, but the location of this hotel (like much of Taormina) is challenging for people with mobility impairments. An elevator will take you between two floors but there are a couple dozen steps up to the street entrance and down from the breakfast room/lounge to the desirable lower rooms with the terraces.
