It's an iconic hotel in the most exquisite setting overlooking the sea and Isola Bella on one side and Mount Etna on the other. The private beach was absolutely heavenly and never too busy when we went down there. The pool was also incredible and the beach bar served excellent cocktails and snacks. Again, we could always find a spot around the pool any time of the day. Our room was super spacious and comfortable with gorgeous sea views from our balcony. Something that added a lot of value to our stay there was the complimentary shuttle to and from the town centre - extremely handy and saved us an arm and a leg in cab fare.

Some of the furnishings in the room is looking a little tired and could do with an update. But that's me being really fussy now.

This property has one of the most stunning views I’ve been experiencing from a hotel balcony. The room seems pretty old, but it’s spacious and always clean and fresh. The staff is friendly and respectful, they greet you 10 times a day and they’re there to help anytime. There’s an elevator that takes you directly into the grotta, which leads to the rocky beach and the pool. Both are fantastic, pool water is salty, there are plenty loungers, but be aware of the sea entrance, is full of slippery rocks. Shuttle service to the centre of Taormina and back is sooo handy!

If there is one thing that can be improved to make this hotel even greater, it’s the breakfast variety. The options are pretty much the same everyday, so for stays longer than 3-4 days, it gets boring. Little variety in eggs, you get the same lame scrambled everyday. Pastries and coffee are good though.

Exceptional location, private beach, pool and the cave system leading to the restaurant give this hotel a completely unique and romantic feel. The views from the room across the bay and towards Etna are simply incredible. On-site restaurant and bar were also great. Facilities were very good: gym, pool, plenty of staff all around the hotel. They even have a free shuttle bus service to take you up to Taormina village. This is not walkable but personally I felt it was better to be near the beach / sea then go up to the town in the evening to see the shops / restaurants / atmosphere.

We really enjoyed the breakfast however it felt like they were slightly understaffed. For example, there is only one coffee machine which the waiters use to make coffees, we had to ask multiple times and wait a long time to get even one hot drink. This was the only bad thing about the breakfast service. Everything else is great - food quality, variety and the views from the breakfast room.

A great hotel in a fabulous location. The architecture / caves / beach and pool area are quirky and interesting. However what makes this gem of a hotel are the staff. They are extraordinarily kind, fun and helpful. We were made to feel special. Our room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent. We tried all the bars and restaurants - all excellent and we felt a great price point for the location. Shuttle bus is great into the main town - we had no problems booking it. What a privilege to sit and look at Mount Etna. We will definitely return.

Nothing to criticise - enjoy the hotel. It’s quirky and has so much charm.

My husband and I travelled to Sicily for our honeymoon and were delighted to stay at Una Hotels in Capotaormina for 5 nights. It was worth the investment. The private pool and private beach were fantastic for relaxing, soaking up the sun, and escaping the chaos of Taormina. It was easy to park our car there (for an additional cost) and to drive to other locations and see Sicily. The breakfast location was great, and the pool bar was convenient for drinks and food. The staff were very accommodating. Would return to this amazing hotel!

The hotel and its rooms are a little outdated, but were still spacious and cleaned daily with fresh towels and bathroom amenities. The shuttle bus into Taormina was convenient, but the hotel informed me that it is run by a 3rd party and the driver didn't seem to care if he left before the departure time or without the reserved passengers - so make sure you arrive 10-15 minutes early for the bus.

Property is large with an infinity pool, private beach, fitness centre and the room is large with separate dressing room. As the property is beach side, it provides a shuttle to and from the town at various times of the day, mostly centred around the evening as dining options are limited beach side and it’s a steep walk into town unless you use the cable car, which is still a 15 min walk around streets with limited footpaths. You can park your car for €27 per day. Breakfast is served on a terrace with great views of the coast & Mt Etna. The selection is considerable and the staff are very efficient. The pool has a stunning view and there are a large number of lounges with a bar allowing for cocktails in the pool.

The property is a bit tired and while the rooms are a good size, a large TV is plonked in front of the mirror in the room. The rooms ideally need an update. The hotel really doesn’t have a beach as the beach is full of ricks and the waves quite strong but most of Taormina seemed to be a rock beach. There are other hotels who have pools which are closer to Taormina old town so if you are more interested in shopping and dining, you might want to consider a location closer to the town as the shuttle bus goes every 20mins and while a great service, you must book in advance and spots fill up and if you change your mind, you cannot always be guaranteed to get a different bus.

The positioning of the hotel is incredible and very contemporary. The sea swim, the pool, the gym were all great and offered an interactive stay. Our room was also amazing, more like a studio. The staff and service are amazing and the shuttle service to town is a great touch.

The restaurant menu including the pool bar were very overpriced and didn’t quite live up to the expectations of that price. Interestingly you could scan the menu at your sun deck chair but to order had to walk out of the pool area to the bar. Complimentary water in your room should be a basic daily requirement. Above really could have made the experience seamless.

The quality you get for the price is insanely good, everything for breakfast was delicious and fresh, the view from the room was stunning! I have never seen a hotel with a cave before, and also such a beautiful beach!

The cleaners came at the same time every day ( between 2pm and 3pm) when my child was napping and they did not bother to change the hours of cleaning our room despite the fact that every day i told them to come earlier or later when we are not resting.

Loved every minute of my 4 night stay at this hotel, the location is perfect, where from one side we have a private beach facing Isola Bela, and on the other side, an amazing pool and access to the sea where we could see Etna right in front of us. Everywhere we go on that hotel, we have an amazing view. Our room was upgraded from Deluxe to Prestige with sea view and can only say it was perfect! The room looked completed new, with modern design and lots of space. The shuttle to Taormina was a great service, we usually booked in the morning (around 9am) and always have availability for the times we wanted to go to the city and return.

Italian hotels are sort of weird. A bit. This is. And whilst the staff so nice. Particularly Dan’s team at the pool and reception. When we arrived. After flight and drive. The lady in the car park was. Well. Just awful. Suggesting we needed to go to reception to get something when we had been fed down a wierd corkscrew drive to park. She was not the reception that the hotel would or should be proud of. After that. The parking boys were first class. Shame when just arriving that an unfriendly lady greats. It takes some time to get over that.
