I loved that it was a comfortable family property run by excellent staff who couldn’t have been more helpful. The location the best in all of Taormina where we looked out on Isola Bella for breakfast from the balcony after we had our swim around the cove

The view to Isola Bella is amazing! The single room was quite small and a little bit dated but clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast is good with a selection of both hot and cold meals. The hotel is close to the Isola Bella beach and the cable car.

The bathroom was rather small and the shower cabin is the smallest one that I´ve ever seen. I´m not very tall and am a relatively slim person but even I had difficulties to move in this cabin. There are no pavements near the hotel so you have to walk on a busy road. People with mobility issues may have difficulties to move around - though this refers to many hotels in the area as they are all located on the same road without pavements.

Location! Breathtaking views, right on the front near the sea and directly opposite Isola Bella. 5 minutes walk to the cable car to go up to the town or you could tackle the Everest expedition types stairs up to the town! (I nearly died coming down them with my rucksack but I am fat and unfit!) Front desk staff very helpful and welcoming. Hotel was spotlessly clean and really comfy beds and effective air-conditioning which you will especially appreciate if you walk up or down the steps to your. There's a courtesy bus to the Copacabana Lido which is only €14, (other sunbed/lido places were a lot more expensive ) and was lovely. You book it at the front desk of the hotel and then when you want to come back you ask the lido people to ring the hotel. Breakfast is the usual continental stuff, delicious cornetti, eggs, meats, cheeses, fruit.

There's nothing I didn't like but would like to warn people if you book a single room don't be bigger than a hobbit as the bathroom is miniscule! There's no room to turn in the shower so it's hard to rinse. Amazing view from the toilet though, if you leave the bathroom door open!

We had three rooms at the Isola Bella, two with a sea view and one on the ground floor. The sea view was spectacular, the one without less so, just windows facing onto the road. The location is good, there's access to the beach a few hundred metres along the road and a chairlift to the town.

The bathroom in the single rooms is very small, barely enough room to turn around in the shower, but the shower itself is good. There's a bidet in the small bathroom which the hotel could sensibly remove to give more room.

The view from the sea view room was fantastic as was the pool. Breakfast was good and the staff were so helpful. We are going back next year. Great value for money for the area. The view was lovely from the pool very relaxing looking at the lemon trees, olive trees whilst laying on the sunbed on the pool deck listening to the birds. Local restaurants just lovely and I walking distance

We stayed for a night and given the hotel's great value prices, we rented a sea-view room, it was well worth it! The hotel is in a perfect location for access to the beach, the train station and the main town of Taormina via the cable car. Getting to sit on our balcony with a view directly out over the Isola Bella was a highlight of our trip in southern Italy.

If I had to be picky, it would have been nice to have a couple of extra pillows and the bathroom was a shower/bathtub set-up which although flexible can be hard to get into for a shower. These were small issues however on what was otherwise a great stay!

Room fridge, again too small. The main thing is that the room seemed outdated.....dark oak laminated chipped furniture (they should really replace with just white), Dark heavy patterned bed covers.....just gave the impression, stuck in the 1960's, all it needs is a lick of paint & new white bedcoverings & maybe also to upgrade/check out air-conditioning system?

We got really lucky during our stay, as we got room on the highest floor with amazing terrace overlooking Isola Bella and the beach. That was one of the best room view I have ever seen and stayed in :) For that I want to say thank you to the hotel, that was amazing and we sat outside every evening, overlooking beach, stars and the moon. Room itself was fairly small but there was everything we needed. Breakfast was fine, the amount of different food choices was fairly okay, but it was still italian breakfast, although there were also "salty" options. Pool area is also very pretty and fairly large with nice view. Location of the hotel was good, really close to the beach (we walked for a couple of minutes). It is also nicely connected to buses running to/from airport, although some walking is required, because buses go uphill to Taormina. But you can change to another local bus or take a taxi from Giardini Naxos for example. You can also take train and change in Giardini Naxos. Beach itself was very nice and pretty clean, temperature of water was great, so refreshing. Just be prepared that it is a beach with stones, so plan accordingly and water shoes are a must in my opinion. It was nice that public part of beach was fairly large and clean too. There were also amenities like restaurants, shower and toilets.

When it comes to the hotel, you can see that it is older building with slightly used furniture, so adjust your expectations. There were not so many restaurants in the immediate area and prices were slightly inflated when compared to expectations due to the proximity to Taormina (but that is not a fault of the hotel). Also, there are not many sidewalks so be prepared to walk around cars a lot, which makes walks fairly unpleasant (also not a fault of the hotel, just of the neighbourhood).

Hotel Isola Bella is perfectly located, and just across the road from beautiful Isola Bella bay that we wanted to see. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, including a balcony overlooking the Isola Bella Bay. Breakfast was amazing, bus stops are nearby, lots of lovely restaurants to dine at, and very central to the cable car going up to Taormina. Isola Bella bay is a treasure not to be missed, and we enjoyed time on the little 'island' and in the ocean. We loved every minute of it.

Everything was wonderful. Two days just wasn't enough.
