We spent 3 days in a peaceful, warm, and very welcoming atmosphere. The location is very close to the bus station (about 8–10 minutes), in a quiet area with a view of the canal. The hosts (Mr. Matteo and a lady—his wife, I believe) were absolutely wonderful. Upon our arrival, they sent us a message on WhatsApp asking what time we would arrive so we wouldn’t have to wait outside (guests receive keys to both the entrance and their room). When we were leaving, since it was raining, they kindly invited us to stay in the room longer if our flight was later. One really lovely touch was the breakfast, which is brought to your room in a basket at the time of your choosing. You feel pampered—like you’re on a picnic. It’s a very generous breakfast (we usually ended up returning half of it!). We wholeheartedly recommend this place!

Good value for money and a great location on the island. The room has convenient access; the main door can be opened with a code if you arrive outside of working hours. We stayed in a spacious room with views of the canal. The room is basic but clean, and the bed was quite comfortable. We had some issues with the bed sheets, but they were quickly sorted out by the manager. Yes, the stairs were steep, but you only need to carry your luggage up once. The property is conveniently close to the train station or taxi, especially if you leave early. Breakfast in the morning was a nice touch.

As others also noted, the breakfast quickly becomes dull, but I didn't expect a different menu each day. An improvement could be offering more croissants and bread, and less of the sweet options that we didn't use.

Very nice location, it’s close to all the parts of the city you might like to visit and yet it doesn’t get busy outside during the night, so you can get a good night sleep. The rooms were large considering the location, clean and well equipped. The breakfasts were lovely, I have never had this kind of at room served breakfast so it was a nice change from your regular hotel breakfast. Although this might not be the best choice if you don’t like sugar. I am sure the hosts would however include less sweet things in the basket should you require as they were super nice and accommodating.

Location was excellent. 10 min walk from Piazzle Roma. Locals Restaurants nearby. Very quiet! We were communicated with before our stay for arrival and any needs. Lisa was extremely helpful with getting around etc. The room we had 301 was huge with a living room and view of canal. There was a mini fridge and coffee available downstairs. We had a beautiful breakfast basket with coffee, juice, hot rolls, jam, yogurt and snacks. We really enjoyed it.

3rd floor with no lift is hard with a lot of heavy luggage. We were grateful for the help on our arrival. Our fault for not traveling light.

The most critical parts of our stay as a family is definitely the location and the breakfast. This place fulfilled all our expectations and more. It was very accessible after the bus stop from our parking place outside of Venice. The breakfast came in a basket and was delicious. It had everything from jam packed croissants and and type of jam you could think of. The location was on the left side of the grand canal so to go to Major locations like the San Marcos square, you had to either walk from the bridge or take a gondola. Even though this was the case, everywhere we visited was a maximum of 25 minutes away, that wasn’t really a problem since the walking in Venice was basically all sceneries. We stayed there with 2 kids and the comfort was unimaginable aswell. We got a really big bathroom either 2 queen sized beds all with canal views. The staff was also very friendly and they supplied us with anything that we really needed. 100/10 definitely would recommend for everyone.

Loved everything

Staying at Alla Corte Rossa was a highlight of our trip to Italy. The Hotel is within easy walking distance from Venezia Santa Lucia station and is centrally located in a quiet area close to many delightful places including the Peggy Guggenheim Museum and Cannaregio. We stayed in a very comfortable room with lovely historic ambience, comfortable beds, plenty of space and beautiful views of the canal right outside our windows (which opened with ease for fresh air and the sounds of Venice). Our host Matteo was unfailingly courteous and friendly with great local knowledge. Lisa was highly attentive and organised the most wonderful and generous breakfast baskets delivered to our room each morning filled with lovely local freshly baked goods, snacks, yoghurts and coffee with different offerings each day. Highly recommended!!

Alle Corte Rossa was wonderful! The location was quick to reach by foot from the bus dropoff, and was quiet and restful at night. Canal-side views meant you felt immediately in Venice. The breakfast basket was a delight to discover every morning. Finally, the staff was helpful and welcoming.

It was such a good location right on the canal, it was really cool in the rooms despite it being 30° outside due to their being air conditioning which was on when we arrived and the staff were lovely. We also got free breakfast and coffee brought to the room in the morning with pastries and yogurts among other things which was really nice.

The only issue was the lock on the door got stuck a view times but we always managed to lock/ unlock the door it just took a while sometimes.

Absolutely everything was great! They were really warm, kind, and hospitable towards us. Also, the room was quite large and comfortable with all of the facilities and amenities that you could wish for! 10 stars! The breakfast was amazing and it was always served on time. As for the location, it was near the train station so when you are arriving or departing, you don't have to carry the large luggages for long periods of time. It is much better to stay far from the main attractions and closer to the public transport for this reason. This is very important as you have to carry 30 kg luggages across the bridges and there is no way to pull the luggages across these bridges - you literally have to carry them because of the way how the bridges have been constructed throughout the Venice.

Authentic place with Great location . Direct on the canal and near the train station .. Specious room with nice view! .. helpfull staff .. beds were comfy .. we get a nice breakfast basket to the room

No elevator .. we had to carry our luggages to the 3rd floor .. doors open with keys rather than cards .. reception close early .. bathroom shower need some improvements .. being an egg lover i had an issue with the breakfast as there is no egg included :((
