We had a fantastic stay at La Rosa dei Venti! Our host Giovanni was incredibly kind and went the extra mile upgrading us from a regular room to a spacious two-bedroom, two-floor apartment for 5 out of our 7 nights. That was a complete surprise for us! Also the entire staff was super kind, friendly and helpful. The location is perfect - right by the Arsenale vaporetto stop, just a 10 min walk from Piazza San Marco, but away from the crowds. The hotel overlooks the lagoon, with stunning views from the balcony and lagoon-facing rooms. There are also many great restaurants nearby. We sincerely recommend this place to anyone visiting Venice. Grazie mille to Giovanni and the whole team!

La Rosa dei Venti was a great place to stay for a couple of nights when travelling with an Interrail Pass through Europe. Close enough to a lot of highlights in Venice while still being out of the way and unassuming. It sits basically next door to a superb restaurant and a few supermarkets, and there was also a ferry station close by. We backpacked from the train station, which is about 45 minutes away, and got there in decent enough time.

We arrived quite late and we had a bit of a hassle with trying to figure out how to get inside, though presumably that was because we were sleep deprived and hadn't read the instructions on checking in well enough. Other than that, the bathroom was a bit cramped, that's about it.

Our stay at La Rosa dei Venti was nothing short of memorable, not just because of the beautiful setting, but because of the genuine hospitality we received throughout. We arrived late and didn’t get to meet Giovanni in person right away, but his instructions were so clear that we found the place with no trouble. His communication was top-notch, and throughout the stay, both he and the housekeeping ladies were incredibly kind and thoughtful. My brother forgot his USB charger, and since we had no time to buy one, they generously lent us one — which ended up becoming a sweet little souvenir from the B&B. The location is amazing: canal views right outside, plenty of restaurants nearby, and the water bus stop just 3 minutes away. Most major sights are walkable, but we loved taking the vaporetto especially for the scenic ride. Would 100% stay here again if I return to Venice!

The internet from the second room was a little slow and the two Wi-Fi options didn’t come up in our device settings, so we couldn’t use it during our stay. But it was nothing we couldn’t handle :)

Beautiful and kind host Giovanni. Who was amenable and helpful. The place is divine ,if you like a bit of history in your house. Stunning lounge watching the lagoon. My room was spatious, and the bed was comfortable. Separate shower with bidet. Toiletries, amazing towels, and great bedding. The place is right by thr lagoon with many good eateries and obviously gelato. Walking distance to everywhere (I like to walk). Also, vaporetto 3 min away to take you to your destination. No lift,for those who have mobility issues to be aware. A joy Thank you 😊

There was nothing to complain about.

The location is absolutely amazing, we got a room with a view towards the lagoon. It was just breathtaking. The building is of course historic, with wooden beams, floors, and windows, which added much charm. The windows weren't soundproof so you could hear passerbys and boats roaming all night long. Regardless, the view is worth any noise. Mr. Giovanni, the hotel manager, was extremely helpful and kind.

The mattresses were quite old and I had to ask for another one because it hurt my back. However, it was changed within hours, so that was a relief.

I spent unforgettable days at La Rosa dei Venti and would like to express my deep gratitude to the host, Giovanni, for his hospitality! The hotel has a wonderful location – all the main attractions of Venice are within walking distance, yet the area is quiet and atmospheric. Morning walks through the narrow streets near the hotel were truly magical. The breakfast deserves special praise – very delicious, fresh, and varied! Starting the day with aromatic coffee and croissants in such a cozy place was a real pleasure. The room was warm, cozy, and well-equipped, which is especially important in February. After long walks around the city, it was nice to return to such a comfortable space. A special thanks to the hotel owner – a very friendly and attentive person, always ready to help and give useful advice. If you are looking for a charming place with excellent service in the heart of Venice, La Rosa dei Venti is the perfect choice. I will definitely come back again!

The entire stay is been amazing, the position of the b&b is a 10 min walk to San Marco's square, right in front of the lagoon, breathtaking view from the room that is kept with the highest standards of cleaning. The venetian style of the structure is one of the best features the b&b can have!! Least but not last, the host, Giovanni, is been an extraordinary person, guiding us and giving us the best advice and suggestions where to go eat and visit around the city. I was absolutely feeling like home and i would highly reccomend this bed and breakfast to all the families in search for a relaxed enviroment.

The location is excellent, very close to the port which made it easy to take the ferry. I was upgraded to a room with a stunning view, and it was absolutely magnificent. The staff were very nice and friendly

The mattress was too flat and uncomfortable. There is also no elevator, and the property is on the 3rd floor, which made carrying luggage a bit difficult.

The owner, present every morning, was gracious and helpful with advice and suggestions. The view from the dining area was gorgeous and I guess it is that and the convenient location is what you pay for.

The room was small and could barely accommodate 2 open suitcases, one out of necessity on the floor. The shower in the bathroom was so tiny my husband could barely close the doors and he is not an overly large man. There were 2 tiny packets one of shampoo and one of body wash each with only enough for one person’s shower. The first day the cleaner would not give me more though she later relented. The next day I was given more but it struck me as rather stingy for the cost of the accommodation.

Great location, breakfast good in beautiful setting, owner is nice. House got old time charm.

Check in was a hassle, needed to wait owner to reply to my phone calls to have door code. Also bit of my mistake I didn't realize need to ask code separately beforehand. They could just give the code thru message when booking, like other places are doing. Information mostly in Italy Room and building are very old, like all things in old Venice. Cleanliness was ok
