Very nice small 1 star-hotel on the first floor (stairs) of building on the corner of the quay and small canal. Location is fabulous. 15 min walk to San Marcos square. Room (no2) was spacious with magnificent view over the laguna from small balcony and window. Comfy bed. Big sink and mirror in the room. Separate bathroom and shower to share with other guests, but no problem - never occupied during my 4-day stay. Very clean. There are some cafés right under the rooms fronting the laguna. I liked hearing the buzzing noice from people chatting and ferries and boats passing in the morning and day. Very silent during the night. I highly recommend Casa Favaretto if you are looking for a nice and simple accommodation with a great location.

Loved that we got room #1 which was at the end of the corridor AND with the view of the main waters and sunset! Also got a side view of the canals. Bed was comfortable and room was spacious. There's also a sink in the room which made things more convenient since the toilet is shared. On that note, the toilets/shower area was clean. There's a shared fridge outside, and the room came equipped with a kettle and also some snacks provided by the host. Host was also reachable via Whatsapp. Location wise, it was near the Arsenale water boat stop and also a street of restaurants. Walkable to St Marc's Square (~800m) but after exploring a full day on foot, it can get tiring to walk all the way back. But otherwise, great place to stay in!

While in the corridor, we could hear a couple making some sounds in their bedroom at night, so the soundproofing isnt the best. But this thankfully couldnt be heard from our room, which was next to theirs

Casa Favaretto was perfect for our visit to Venice. We really appreciated the position that was central - right next to the lagoon and with a lovely canal view from our room window, only a short walk from the main sights and close to Vaporetto boat stops- but in the quieter less touristy area of Castello with its more authentic local Venetian feel. The whole guest house was spotlessly clean, with clean towels in the shared bathrooms, and our room and bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the coffee making facilities, the free wifi and the ability to leave our bags till evening on our last day. The staff were so friendly and homely. We felt welcome but also private. It was a really nice simple, calm place to stay.

There was a private sink inside the room, which is quiet useful. Everyone was kind, and we've got some snacks for every day. We liked the view from the window as well, because we saw a nice canal. The room and shared bathrooms were clean, and we didn't have to wait, when we wanted to use it, at least one bathroom was always empty at the moment. I loved the view from the shared balcony as well, I took nice photos from there. The access for the rooms was easy with the keys, and not too much steps to reach the main door. They have wifi and a shared fridge, but we didn't use it. Casa Favaretto located a pleasant walk from the main attractions.

The walls are thin and the neighbor in the next room was loud sometimes. The loud man is not the accommodation's fault, of course, but it was unpleasant when we couldn't sleep well because of him. During their cleaning, they not only emptied the trash bin but also discarded a small bottle next to the sink we had planned to use for water on our upcoming travels. While it may have seemed like trash, it wasn't meant to be thrown away.

The place was spotless, and the staff was EXCEPTIONAL! Maria, in particular, stood out— I had the pleasure of interacting with her multiple times. She was incredibly welcoming, kind, and offered some really helpful tips. I can’t thank her enough for her positive attitude. I also had the chance to meet another woman on the team who was always available to answer any questions I had. Their dedication made my experience even better!

The first day I initially struggled to get an answer on how to get in the property. However that was resolved within 30min. The water in the shower stopped working one evening for a little bit but shortly later that night it worked again !

We loved the location of Casa Favaretto, away from the crowds, but still well connected to the airport, Piazza San Marco, Canal Grande, Lido, Burano, Murano, and Torcello by public transport. The Casa itself was clean and well maintained. Our room (no. 5) was on the smaller side, but it had a double bed, 2 small chairs, a table, and a sink as well as stunning views of the canal and part of the laguna. The lady who checked us in was lovely, although communication was a little difficult as she only spoke Italian. We later communicated more with the owner Alessandro through WhatsApp and got all our questions answered that way. All in all, it was a wonderful stay, and we can't wait to return!

Location was the perfect spot for someone that wants to visit the Art Biennale, also close to restaurants and the water bus to and from the Airport is 1 minute away in front of the guest house. Despite being in a busy area, my room was really quiet which was great. I liked having a sink in my room, too! And lastly but really important, the host was incredibly helpful and communicative via messages before and during my stay!

My room's view was towards an inner patio, but didn't need more since I was there for a short stay. If I would have stayed longer, I would have probably wanted a room with a street view. The bed was also made of two single mattresses, but because I was alone this didn't actually matter. The bed was still very comfortable.

Staff were very accommodating. Very good at responding via WhatsApp. Able to check in on arrival early and store our luggage prior to leaving. The room had a stunning view and everything we needed inside. The sink in the room was great as it meant we didn't always have to go down to the shared bathroom. Bathrooms were always clean. Coffee and tea selction in morning + biscuits/cake/croissant (this was a lovely addition in the price). Thank you for our stay it was lovely 😊

The walls could do with repainting, there were some cracks in the paint. The beds weren't very comfortable but were fine and wouldn't put me off staying again.

Great location close to Arsenale stop from where you can take a vaparetto straight to San Marco, Rialto and central station. The room was clean and big with a fridge and kettle, we also had our own sink. For breakfast there were some teas, coffee and some snacks (packed croissants and some cookies) Despite shared bathroom, there was no issue in the occupancy. In the hallway there was a fridge with our own space for storage and also drinks you could take and leave a small fee in a box on top of the fridge. We only met one of the cleaning ladies when we checked in, we were too early but could already leave our bags. The lady was very kind and despite not speaking english, she provided very clear instructions with showing and handgestures. She also put our bags in our room when it was done and already provided the keys with the promise we would return later when it would be clean.

The breakfast but it was doable

It was in such a great location! 10 minute walk to San Marco. It was right on the “boardwalk” but more towards the end of the tourist trap area making it so much more enjoyable. Bedroom windows opened up to the canal. We could hear the water all night and the workers boating by. The staff was real nice!

I thought sharing the bathroom down the hall would be awful but there are 3-4 bathrooms so it was never an issue. We never even encountered the other guests.
