A 2 minute walk from the Arena, The hotel is perfectly placed. A charming little hotel but our outstanding memories will be of the lovely staff. We had a lovely welcome, lots of help with taxis information etc. Breakfast was just lovely, lots of options and lovely service. Can’t say enough good things about the team at Hotel Torcolo - my 8 year old son was completely spoiled ☺️

The hotel could definitely do with a little updating, carpet on the stairs, a little paint here & there. That said, this is an old hotel which adds to the charm. Everything was fully functional & the room was cleaned every day.

Location so close to everything Myself and my Husband have just returned home from 4 days at this gem of a hotel. The location couldn't be better around the corner from the Arena and all the other places of interest are within walking distance. This hotel is very close to the busy tourist area so you can expect to hear noise of people into the early hours but this for me was part of the experience and didn't bother me. I have issues with my knee and this hotel was so close to everything it was great. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and give great ideas of trips and restaurants everyone we dealt with was amazing. The room number 23 is small but it was perfect for us for the stay and I found the bed really comfortable. The room was cleaned every day, had a mini bar we didn't use it. You could order coffee downstairs but we went out for coffee. The room for me was perfect but some may want tea/coffee facilities that more modern hotels have this is the only reason I put it at 4 stars above but for me this was not an issue. The shower was great and having the shower gel/ shampoo there was great as I didn't have to bring any saving weight in our cases. This hotel was everything I wanted it is a small cosy hotel with a charm that bigger modern hotels just can't compete with. I will be back again and I can't see me staying anywhere else in Verona.

Nothing some will think the rooms are small but I lived how cosy the hotel felt

Who checks in this hotel does not buy the comfort of a modern hotel, which might not be found in this place, instead he buys the experience of an "albergo" (inn) from a different time and era. We enjoyed that it is very close to the main attractions of the city, and we could walk a lot and explore the city. The place is quite even if it is close to the city life, which might get quite noise at night in an Italian city. We also enjoyed the cuisine from the Restaurant Torcolo, even if this is a separate business from the hotel. Overall, a good cultural experience. The hotel employees were nice and helpful.

The WiFi Internet did not work in our room, it's not like we were there to do home-office, but after a day of activities arround the city, you want to digitally recharge and WiFi would have had been helpful. However, mobile data roaming works fine in EU and we could operate further. I would also add that the breakfast experience should be improved in terms of offering and cuisine. The hotel does not have a parking, so technically you have use one of the public parking places, which is quite costly 22€/day, for sure they could improve by buying bulk discounted abos from APCOA for example, the price could go down up to 10€/day instead.

This hotel is a little gem. It is olde world and very charming. The staff is welcoming, cheerful and helpful. The room itself was clean, comfortable and very cute. The location is fantastic, just behind Piazza Bra and the Arena. There are some wonderful eateries close by, one very typical and authentic one recommended by the girl in reception. The hotel is conveniently located near the bus stop. We arrived by train and the hotel sent very clear, specific instructions how to get to the hotel. It made it so easy. If you like small, charming and good old-fashioned service, this is a lovely hotel for you.

Breakfast could have had more on offer.

This is a traditional Italian hotel with classic rooms. We really liked it. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the team at breakfast are very good, as is the continental breakfast. They are very knowledgeable and pointed us to a very good traditional local restaurant where we had a great dinner. The hotel is in the centre of the restaurant district and there is no shortage of choices of places to eat across the full spectrum of quality and price.

Our only complaint was the street noise but that applies to any of the hotels in this area.

The location was excellent, a few steps to the Arena, gorgeous looking original hotel, very clean, loved the room. The breakfasts were amazing, they even offered prosecco!! The staff were amazing, so friendly and attentive, and very hard working, they made our stay even better! Verona is one of my favourite cities to visit, and I would definitely stay at this hotel again, I recommend it to everyone! Thank you to all the staff!

There is nothing I did not like!

Loved our stay at Hotel Torcolo. This is the definition of an old looking property but maintained very well. Beds are comfortable and there is adequate space for our luggages. I love how the bathroom looks old but looks modern at the same time. Location is right in the old town and is walkable to everything. Staff are great and friendly. Price is really good value and I’m happy I booked this hotel than the other more expensive ones.

Hair dryer is a bit ancient. It still worked though.

First off, the staff are SO kind and helpful! My sisters and I had gone to Verona for a concert, and the woman at the front desk not only gave us advice, but offered us seat cushions and ponchos. All of the staff were extremely kind, helpful and wonderful to have a conversation with! Second, the location couldn't be any better. You are seconds away from the arena and the piazza. There were a few concerts going on the nights we were there, but we didn't hear much of it from our room with the windows closed. Our room was big and clean, a little on the older side - but it has that traditional Italian charm! I would recommend staying here definitely!!! :)

The property was lovely and clean with traditional Italian decor. The air conditioning was great. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served outside with a great selection of food. The Prosecco was a lovely touch and the coffee was excellent The property is five minutes from the centre of Verona and there are lots of lovely restaurants close at hand. It is also a short walk (around fifteen minutes) to walk to the bus/train station where you can easily get a bus to the airport for 7euros and a train to Pescheria del Garda to cruise around lake Garda

The staff were kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and well maintained; it is kept clean for a dated hotel. The location is incredible! So central and so easy to get around with so many lovely local restaurants to choose from.

The parking is a bit of a faff - I would recommend going directly for the car parks in the city. The small spot outside the hotel feels like you're going to knock into someone eating in the restaurant. The stair carpets were quite precarious. The runners kept coming undone, which is a little dangerous. The first-floor bedrooms are a little noisy. We were opposite the breakfast room, which meant a lie-in was unlikely. Avoid is possible.
