Easy to walk to from the central train station. Easy to walk to the port as well. Lots of food options nearby. Clean. Free water bottle in the room. Can cast to the tv from your phone.

The bed sheets had an old stain on them ( but housekeeping changed them for me no problems at all. ) No decaf coffee or hot chocolate in the restaurant 😞. No liquid hand soap in the bathroom. Not enough bench space in the bathroom either. The carpets needed a detailed clean on the edges of the room. And the window frames need a clean and mould a mould treatment. Can't believe the price though. It's an average hotel but the prices were incredibly high, as are the rest of Vancouver hotels.

I loved the location; close to downtown, restaurants, shops and skytrain. There were two restaurants available in the hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The room could use upgrading. We had to move the coffee table against the plug-in so the air conditioner could operate. The wifi kept booting us out. Water temp takes to adjust in the shower; even when set, temp changed while showering. Thankful didn’t turn scalding hot. The mattress was firm so when deserving, make sure to ask for a room with a softer mattress - all a matter of choice so need to make note of this when reserving.

Upon arrival we found ourselves in a room too small for three adult persons, where the windows do not open, but thanks to the kind reaction of the staff we were given a nice large suite with a balcony and a kitchenette in the North Tower which was ideal for our stay in Vancouver. Our son, who is a person with disability, enjoyed the swimming pool and a gym, all of us enjoyed our stay at Sandman hotel because of its perfect location in downtown. We are grateful to the staff for a warm atmosphere during our stay at Sandman.

Everything was perfect

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel and we will definitely be back. The room is spacious and clean (daily cleaning + towel change) The staff is kind and hospitable. The location is excellent. The room amenities (microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker) are very useful.

Could use an extra bigger shelf or some kind of extra storage space in the bathroom, the sink is tiny and there's very little place to leave your toiletries.

We stayed here twice on a visit to Vancouver - 1st room (room 602) was for 3 nights (standard king room in north tower), room was lovely, clean, light, quiet, well maintained and a good size. 2nd stay was for 1 night (room 718), same type but this room was much smaller, and had we have had this room for the 3 nights, I think we may have struggled, although just as clean and well maintained, it was much more limited space for suitcases etc. Both rooms had safes which were a reasonable size (could fit laptop) and easy to use. The bathroom facilities were lovely in both, with big shower cubicles.

We personally found the pillows very uncomfortable, they were too large and there was no option for alternative ones. Obviously personal preferences so I would not let this put anyone off stating at this hotel.

Derar, the front desk agent was excellent. The view was great! The room was clean and updated. The beds were so comfortable. The water in the hot tub was murky and yellow. The temperature in the pool area was too cold and the ambiance was lacking. Warmer air, warmer colors, and natural greenery would make for a better experience. Towels were not replenished. Not enough shampoo and conditioner. The pillows were too big, the delivery of glasses took an hour, as did the delivery of housecoats and slippers.

We had a N tower room, very quiet Had a small issue at check-in, but all was resolved easily. All the staff were great, friendly and polite Location was great

Hotel parking was under repair and very tight parking stalls. A bit confusing as we were in the N tower, needed 2 elevators to get to some places Bathroom was small and not great lighting. Wish there was a plug in and a good light above the hall mirror, that would help alot

Long wait for the elevator. It was a full house so it was understandable.

The hotel had a nice lobby and very friendly and helpful staff. The location was excellent (we could easily walk to Rogers Arena). Parking was conveniently located and reasonably priced, and there are many nearby restaurants and coffee shops. The room was very nice.

Small issue, but in order to plug in the microwave I had to move the heavy dresser aside to access the outlet. I had to unplug something else in order to free up an outlet for the microwave.

His hotel was fabulous. The location was perfect. Just a couple blocks off downtown. So many places to eat and drink and see right outside the door. The room was super comfortable. The bed was great thought a pressure was nice. AC was perfect. Great view of the city And the gym was full-size and fabulous. Would definitely come back here.
