The breakfast was excellent- hats off to you for such a lovely breakfast included with room rate. We will definetely stay here again. You upgraded my room which i really apprecitated, it was lovely. Didn't love the location but we only went for a wedding close by so it was fine.

Pillows on bed were not great too soft went flat. Asked for early check in if possible. Didn't mind so much it wasn't ready by checkin time but we had to wait in the lobby for 1 1/2 hour after that- was too long a wait. I suggest if that happens you extend checkout by same amount of time guests would appreciate that.

Your facility seems to be in excellent shape still. We stayed at your hotel several years ago and liked the location so we decided to try you again. We sure weren't disappointed as everything looks to be functioning right along. Your breakfast room is great as are your selections for food as they change a little every day. We had a little glitch on arrival as the clerk couldn't find our reservation but her supervisor came over and got everything straightened out. All your staff were pleasant to deal with and on a nice sunny day it is just great to lounge out back in one of your lawn chairs and chill out. Thanks again for helping us have a very pleasant stay. Keep up the good work.

Only the fact that your one elevator was down but that didn't put a crimp into our plans period.

The only thing that was inconvenient was the bathroom sink , the drain stopper was broke and couldn't drain the sink . the sink was unusable for the first night and Maintenance couldn't fix until the next day . the next night after maintenance repaired , they didn't check their work as it still was not working properly . no compensation , we stayed 2 nights and they advertised $50.00 gift card for 2 nights stay ,which we didn't get or they didn't offer ???

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The building was well maintained. Breakfast was at a great time and a great value. The pool was very clean albeit a bit on the cooler side. My kids loved playing the vintage arcade games like pac man and street fighter. The views were beautiful and it was lovely to be able to sit by the lake. We did not swim but we saw multiple people going in for a swim or a ride on a paddle board. The showers were very hot and the water pressure was a waterfall! Bed were comfy. Our room had a microwave and a refrigerator with a very small freezer.

We were put in a pet friendly room and you could definitely tell by the smell, so if that's an issue for you then I would be sure to let them know you do not want a pet friendly room. It's great that they allow pets and for anyone traveling with an animal this would be a great option. The rooms seemed to be well sound proof as I didn't hear much from the other rooms. The outside door did not lock as stated at night and there were no cameras for security. The area did not seem to be a high crime area but something to keep in mind. There also was a lot of trash left on the grounds but that seems to be an issue throughout Halifax.

The room was spacious and clean and the beds are super comfortable. Great place to stay with a family, we always enjoy the retro arcade and the pool. The breakfast is top notch!

We ordered supper from the restaurant and had to wait quite a long time for it to be ready. We were called to say it was ready, when it wasn’t and had to wait around 15 more minutes. When we got the food it wasn’t even warm, as though it was waiting for a while for us to come get it. It tasted good, but we were disappointed in the service and likely won’t order from there again.

The hotel employees were so friendly and nice, especially the cleaning staff. The breakfast was superb - excellent food, tons of food choices, lineups moved quickly and serving dishes were replenished quickly and efficiently, right up to the last minute of breakfast hours.

The only negatives were: 1) our bathroom door was rubbing (the floor transition, I think), making it hard to open and close (plus, it was noisy) 2) my daughter stepped on a safety pin on the floor that pricked her foot, but it wasn't ours, so we could only assume it was left on the floor 3) the window was obscured. Seemed like it was dirty outside or almost like window tint that bubbles up

The hotel is situated right next to a lake in a nice part of the city. The rooms are very comfortable and nice. The lake next door is a big plus for the view and for outdoor activities.The breakfast was excellent, with great variety- You also have the option of having the breakfast outside overlooking the lake and that was the highlight of my stay. Parking is available free of charge as well.

Although in a nice part of the city. it is not in or within walking distance of downtown or the sea. Will need to either have your own transportation or use Uber( which is surprisingly expensive in the city).

Friendly staff, especially in the restaurant for breakfast & dinner. The food was great- breakfast had lots of selection, and was always stocked and fresh. Usually had eggs and some type of meat (bacon, sausage, ham) as well as fruit, yogurt, pancakes, bagels and bread, and little pastries and muffins. Coffee was also good. I recommend the BBQ bacon jam burger for dinner. There is also a nice lobby bar with great and affordable drinks. Rooms were clean, modern, and spacious. Good location close to downtown Halifax and about 30 mins from airport.

Hotel is a bit dated in certain areas, could use some refreshing. The gym had the basics, but the treadmill was not in great condition- made loud banging noises while walking on it even at low speed. Beds and pillows were kind of lumpy but bearable.

Good breakfast, lots of selection - hot and constantly refreshed. I ate at the Grill two nights, both meals were great, service excellent. The view over the lake was a pleasant surprise. Comfortable bed, great water pressure for a vigorous hot shower!

The weekend was busy, so breakfast was a bit more of a circus, but well handled by staff. Hot water temperature verges on dangerous - serious risk of scalding!

All but the bedding set up. Certainly, a pleasant, receptive staff and more than suitable room for our needs.

I did know the bedding would be so short and not cover me fully (I sleep with my shoulders covered whereas my wife does not so my negativism is not applicable to all). Later, I learned the covering bedding is tucked short at the end for some unknown reason. At my next hotel, I stretched it out and had a decent night's sleep.
