A great opportunity to experience the glamour of Trans Atlantic Ocean liners and to visit a bit of living history. Wonderfully atmospheric to wonder around the decks and to be staying in one of the cabins. The Lido restaurant on board is terrific, we had a great dinner (recommend the brisket or the ribs) and the breakfast is also an excellent big buffet of pretty well anything you could want. Nice views out over the Rhine as you dine. Enjoyed the tour of the engine room the following morning.

Our "cabin" was rather hot and the AC/ ventilation system was barely working and dripped periodically. Sounds worse than it was, but still room for improvement in that regard.

Memorable experience aboard the SS Rotterdam, with beautiful views of the city, walking distance to the Fenix. We had a very short stay in Rotterdam and loved every moment of this fascinating city. We dined aboard the ship with sunset views, and walked to the Fenix museum for an enjoyable visit. The free shuttle to the metro makes it even easier to get around.

There were numerous events when we stayed which made it harder to see all the spaces. Service at dinner was a bit slow despite a large staff. Coffee stations at breakfast had long lines, but all minor things. We were very happy with out stay.

Step aboard and travel back in time. The Grande Dame is a magnificent ocean liner from a bygone era, still radiating the grandeur of its past. This historical theme is beautifully preserved throughout the hotel. At the check-in desk, you'll be greeted by staff in classic uniforms and receive your personal copy of the "Ocean Post," a newspaper detailing everything you need to know for your stay. As you explore, you'll discover captivating photographs showcasing the ship in its glorious heyday. The rooms are classic. While the beds are very comfortable, the rooms are spacious but not very luxury (for today's standards!). Don't forget to take a tour to get to know more about the history, the upper decks, the machine room etc. It's very fun for the entire family to roam and explore the ship. The ship hosts will tell you everything you want to know about the ball rooms, the bow and bridge.

The wifi in one of our rooms was a bit flakey, but can't think of anything else.

Great location. From the deck you get a view over the river, surrounding buildings and water activities. The staff was super. The restaurant was great, delicious food and great staff.

I booked a superior room, a double bed and i got 2 single beds. The room has carpet wich had stains and was not straight, looked like waves. The curtais also had stains. When reading about the boat, it said there were bars and restaurants. All were closed, except for Lido. So after 23h00, there's nothing to do on board.

It's a very interesting experience. Also, I loved the watertaxi. Could get to work very fast and not expensive. Most of the staff are nice. And the ship has many different places to spend some relaxing time.

Internet connection really bad. I went for work and was impossible to work from my room. The rooms without windows. Be careful if you are claustrophobic like me. It's a bit awkward at the beginning. Some staff were "ok". Not exactly the kind of people we are used to find in the Netherlands. Difficult to get an Uber. So install watertaxi app and book your taxis and then the rest will be amazing.

Very authentic, it’s important to remember you are reliving the experiences of a transatlantic cruise liner from decades ago then you will really enjoy it. Bike hire available which helps with getting into central Rotterdam.

The only thing that could have improved our stay would be to have the 50cent ferry operating for longer hours, to enable a cheap link to the main areas during the middle of the day and into the evening

Our room was fantastic, very clean and modern. The excitement of being on the ship makes for a special stay. The bar on the middle deck is comfortable with a very reasonably priced food menu. Taking the high speed water taxi straight from the boarding deck to other parts of the city is an amazing experience.

The ship isn't as accessible as it could be, with the hotel company running paid tours instead of allowing already paying guests to see the historic and technical parts of the old ship. Especially when travelling with children it would make sense to include it in the price to make the stay even more memorable.

30 April Everything went smoothly and easily from arriving to check in , The room was very good 😊 the ship experience, parking place available 15 euro a day , walking distance to the city is nice and interesting, lots of restaurants nearby , me and my family went to our hotel restaurant, we got the table from the captain of restaurant without problem as we didn't booked the table nice and tasty food atmosphere was beautiful the restaurant service was top top , in the room was free water ,tea ,coffee , you can get extra tea at reception without a problem (free).Did explore the inside ship 🚢 hotel,lovely stairs and ship promenade , the terase at night was nice experience , overall I would without hesitation book again in SS Rotterdam when the next time visit Rotterdam, This time was for my 9 year old sons Birthday 😊🚢

Its dutch maritime history, its a lovely environment to stay

I come for a number of years already, but the organisation of the staff remains a problem. They are friendly, but so disinterested and not managed well in what they do. For example waiting at the desk for 10 minutes whilst you hear them chatting 2 metres away not about work, tables uncleaned for 30 min, breakfast is served to 10.00 and at 10.00 they start hoovering the place whilst you still enjoy breakfast, etc. If the owner can change that attitude, disinterest in clients pleasure and disorganisation, SS Rotterdam may even become pleasant to stay.

The audio tour of the ship was great, and staff helped with mobility issues. Much of the 1950s decor remains in the public areas and those are well worth the visit. There is one bus line that starts very close by, taking you to a metro stop, though beware that the timetable does not always suit if you have an early departure.

Bed was a little too soft; service in the restaurant at night was awful, the food ordinary.
