This hotel gets so many bad reviews. I've just spent Christmas with my family here and everything has been fine. The only downside is the entertainment would be nice to have a something different than just singing for example a comedy act or drag act. Other than that not a issue. The food was great and plenty to choose from, Christmas Dinner was great and the Christmas buffet was so good.

This hotel is a gem. I came from the US for a conference and was so happy with the facility. My room was roomy and spotless. A big white duvet and big pillows. There is a desk, wardrobe, and a large bath. The tub is deep enough to swim in!! I did not understand how to use the radiator, they were super fast and efficient in solving my dilemma. Meals were delicious, for the conference there were three choices of meat, salads, fruit, and desserts. Able to manage several hundred people move thru effortlessly. There is a coffee shop in the hotel, and a full bar. The lobby was inviting and I used it all weekend to interact with others. Oh, and affordable!! And on a tram line, so that I was easily riding up and down the line to sight see and shop. I hope I have the chance to return.

I missed brewed coffee, but it is England, and it is about tea!! lol.

the norbreck has greatly improved, since my last visit in 2021 , the pool & spa was excellent and I went half board which the dinner was a buffet meal, with lots to choose from , which will also cater for vegan & vegetarian.

Check in to collect the keys at the reception takes too long, even tough I checked in online, when booking it states go to collect keys not reception? only 2 staff on waited over 30 mins, The couple in the room next door were shouting very loud ect in the early hours and woke us up, Then the bed was banging against our wall and in turn it shook mine and granddaughters beds, quite upsetting for my granddaughter to HEAR as she is only 14years old, Maybe the beds in different rooms should be on opporsite walls? Makes me rethink in future about rebooking again with my granddaughter, as i have always loved staying at the Norbreak.

I've stayed here many times before .the room was clean and warm and had tea making facilities and a hair dryer towels ect .the bath shower was great with shower gel hair wash . The TV was great and the bed was comfy .there was wi-fi in my room . I was a solo traveler and I had a double bed at no extra charge ( bonus). I used the leisure facilities for £2 a session or £5 a week . I did not have a meal plan at this stay .there's a snack bar during the day anyway and this worked for me . The car parking was free ( log reg in at desk) The lift was great to my floor .

The Morris dancers were so noisy .and there were children running up and down the corridor all day all night shouting . But that's not the hotels fault . I really was put off using the bar area at night because they were everywhere . And I had came for a peaceful weekend away alone .

The main reception lady 'Alice' was extremely helpful at all times, and explained everything very clearly. The main man'Jack' at the meals was also exceptional, on that, everyone I talked to, agreed. He was kind, and nothing was too hard for him to provide. Everything was completely clean. The hotel was extremely quiet, it had been very busy just before we arrived, so we benefited from this fact. The dinner was delicious with soup and/or salad starter, the choice of 3 main meals, vegetarian, fish or meat - and delicious choice of desserts and/or apple crumble and custard. We could have had everything offered on the menu, and more,maybe because there weren't many people there. I don't know if at other times one has to make one choice. The breakfast was as good as anything I have had in other hotels. There was a wide choice of everything. The coffee was good. The swimming pool and gym costs £2 each per go. Entrance is with the hotel key card. Deposit for a locker key. You can hire a towel 50p, or bring your own from the hotel. The swimming pool does not have a deep end. it must be about 4foot deep, but this is completely ok for swimming. I would not like to be in the changing rooms if it is busy. There is a sauna, jacuzzi, and steam room. Usual size. You can catch the 3A bus to 'Norbreck Shops' or a tram, both from the station, or nearby. Enter the hotel from the bus stop by walking through the leisure centre at the back. The hotel is opposite the sea, across the road. The hotel is huge, and we loved it.

Our room was clean but very old fashioned. There were only 3 plugs, so we had to unplug the tv and/or the bedside lamp or the kettle, in order to charge devices. The tv worked fine, but had a very limited access to programmes - mostly adverts. But there were enough drawers/wardrobe and chairs. The most bothering aspect was the lack of 'on tap' water with the meals. One would have expected a container with iced water and glasses to be available. I think that this was the case for breakfast, but not at dinner, though the wonderful Jack of course brought us a huge jug of iced water when we asked.

The breakfast was. Lovely buffet style so was good to help urself u can go up as much as u like. Room was clean and tidy suitable for our stay we had the evening meal 3 course buffet style it was excellent definately value for money means i could go up and have a bit of everything. Its better than trying to find somewhere in blackpool to eat.

The only thing was our room was too hot we turned the heater of but we had about a 3inch copper pipe running round the room so the heat of that was ridiculous but apart from that nothing else was a great break

After seeing reviews online, we were not expecting much but could not have been more surprised. The hotel was very clean, and communal areas were too. Loved our rooms, which were some of the best we have stayed in and had clearly been modernised beautifully. TV in each room was 40" and for freeview had plenty of channels. The hotel had free WiFi, which was a nice touch considering other britania hotels don't. Staff were really friendly and professional and could not have been more accommodating. We had the food package with breakfast and tea, which was also good and by no means 'budget hotel'. All in all, we loved the Norbreck and will not hesitate to return.

The only issue we had was our bed was too hard for us - but that comes down to personal preference, and our friends all said they found theirs really comfy.

Heating ....must have an airlock in system ...very noisy when it kicked in early hours ..but room was nice and warn even in Feb This negative wouldnt stop me going again It's not 5 star but definitely it's stars it is and u can c its being slowly brought up to date

Easy check-in, great welcome, friendly / helpful staff.

The one thing i didnt like was the amount of people going for breakfast in their pyjamas, rather large people, no excuse really......I mean, really to lazy to get dressed, unacceptable and to have to eat your breakfast whilst seeing that was off putting to say the least.....so I suggest that the hotel puts notices up and around the hotel to say that its mot acceptable and anybody rocking up for breakfast is turned away by the gentleman at breakfast reception.....that's my only dislike times by the 4 off us staying.....please action!
