Lovely clean hotel and food was Beautiful

The bathroom window had no blind.

Breakfast was lovely. Hotel is nice but looking a bit tired in the rooms. Everywhere was clean the shower was ok. For the price I think the toiletries should be a little bigger as they are tiny bottles, the rooms were like a sauna it was so hot and uncomfortable with just a small cheap fan that made no difference. probably worth investing in better ways to somehow Keep rooms cooler. The bar area nice and comfy. Good position for tram stops as right outside. All staff lovely and the lady sorting our breakfast table was really good as she managed to sit all 9 of us together or very close which was a nice touch. The outdoor pool is great the kids enjoyed it.

The rooms were unbearably hot

Breakfast was fabulous, wide selection of cereal, fruit, full English, omelettes, even cheese on toast if you wanted it. Small but adequate indoor heated pool smith fun floats and balls for the children to play with. Water was always being tested. Jacuzzi really hot with powerful jets. I didn’t use the outside pool but speaking to other guests they loved it as it was heated and had a conservatory too so parents can watch their children from their or sit on the sun loungers around the pool if they preferred not to go in. Entertainment was amazing, exceeded expectations. Singers and acts were so professional. I’ve been on many cruises and these shows are equivalent or above- staff could not do enough to please all guests

This is a three star hotel, I really couldn’t fault it. Lift was antiquated but it worked. Outside windows could do with a clean if I’m being really picky, but everywhere else was spotless. Parking is mainly off road, the hotel offers on site parking but cars are all lined up on a first come service and you need to leave your keys at reception so staff can move the cars around if someone needs to exit

We have stayed at the Doric before and really enjoy our stay here. Some people may think that the hotel is too far out of the main area, but it is right opposite a tram stop and we enjoyed the walk which was approximately 1.5 miles according to my sense2 watch 🤷🏼‍♀️ The staff are really friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. The food is delicious and they cater for gluten free which for me was a bonus. I could have a sandwich with the rest of the family (may not seem a big thing to some, but it is to me!) We shall come up again during the illuminations and definitely stay here again.

It's not that I don't like it, more a suggestion. The hotel offers an All Inclusive package, as we are non drinkers we feel that we miss out a little. Maybe an All Inclusive nonalcoholic option could be introduced.

Super friendly staff and customer service. Great prices food and bar if you havnt gone all inclusive. We went bed and breakfast friday until tuesday was very happy with it, Great that pool towels included too. Our party had bit of upset and falling out and even give us a free extra room to use so could have some extra space which was lovley of them. Travel cot provided was of good quality and bedding also. Would definitely visit again

Only complaint realy is lift was very small for to pram to for in but they have storage so wasnt to bad could store it front desk. Only other thing was rooms get very warm in high sumner temperature, but you are a provided a fan. Games room in my opinion could do little bit more modernising but great visit not much to complain about was great staff

From the beginning of our stay through to the end the hotel was amazing all round. The room was spacious and comfortable for a family of 2 adults and 3 childen. The staff at reception couldn't of been anymore helpful if they tried! Helped with anything and everything, from directions to attractions away from the hotel to information about activities within the hotel, all around amazing experience. The childrens entertainment was unreal, our children couldn't wait for 8pm to come around each night! They absolutely loved it! We are so happy we booked with the Doric and will definitely be booking again in the future, i truly believe we chose the best, you wont be disappointed!

Easy check in great location sea front and tram stop the pools and jaccuzi great, bed and pillows comfy and everything in room clean and all you needed tea tray including fan also toiletries The gentleman on reception lovely guy also young guy behind bar Entertainment good prices at bar reasonable

First impression of lady on reception not seen before was not good seemed moody and not freindly at all The sunbed mats outdoor pool need a good clean lots of spill marks on them Pool needs net to get debris including broken mosiac tiles getting out before someone gets hurt on them Indoor pool area in 2 corners near seats needs scrubbing looks like blood on the floor tiles but think it could be from the brick

We booked a double but were upgraded to a bigger room due to availability which was a bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful. We chose to pay an extra £20 to stay on till lunch time which I thought was reasonable. The breakfast was beautiful and the staff work so hard and super efficient. Loved the outdoor heated pool and you are able to use hotel towels. There was no noise like some of the other comments mentioned and not hot in the room. There was a fan to use in the wardrobe in case it did get hot. We loved our mini break there.

The mattress was a bit hard. It’s a big hotel so when they say there is a car park, it’s more like a gap down the side of the building which probably fits 10 cars in bumper to bumper. Not sure how people would get out. We paid £7 (cash only) to use the car park next door for about 30 hours.

Brilliant hotel, service absolutely amazing. Both my sisters ankles and feet swelled up and they came with huge bags of ice and elevated their feet. We never had a fan in the room and the manager went out the way to find a fan for us. All inclusive is fantastic, only a small extra to have breakfast, light lunch, 4 course meal and limited drinks. Although the drinks were all good names and not the cheap spirits which is what you would expect for all inclusive. Entertainment - Fantastic singers and bonus for getting a game of bingo for free with the all inclusive. Only downside was we couldn't get a lounger around the pool, this is not the hotels faults as people got there way before us so our own fault. We still sat outside the front in the sun and enjoyed a few g&t's. Food was good. Parking available and you hand in your car key so if they need to move your car then they will. Family room for 4 adults was plenty big enough with side sea view. Overall good experience and we will be back.

Nothing

The meals over all were excellent, good variety and always something choose. The breakfast was top class, and try the porridge it's very good. The staff were very helpful; nothing was too much trouble. Our room was swapped because my Wife wanted a bath, it was done straight away, no quibble. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools very much. It was like being abroad. The weather was good which helped.

Just one area that needs attention is the toilets and changing rooms in the pool areas. They need a revamp.
