The staff are so nice and so cool, and the common area was a wonderful place to meet people, you can even play switch for free!!

There's a strict rule for checking-in after 5pm

Good value for money, clean amenities, big kitchen area, spacious Japanese style room

To few hangers in the room, the smell of the cat is quite dominant in one of the two common areas

The place was fun and alive, the manager knew the place very well, even had pictures of many stores owners from around the area, one of them is an excellent Izakaya (デデデでん). He was friendly, energetic, and tried really hard to speak English. They also had cats. The place was well maintained and nice and the price was good.

The bunk beds moved at the slightest touch, swung around a lot, and made a lot of noise. The bedrooms and the shower room were cramped. Also, although the staff mentioned above was nice, the one that succeeded him was a teenager who didn’t interact with people, always on his phone, and didn’t even try to say a single word in English, letting Google translate do the talking instead of using his own voice. Although, to his credit, he solved a wrong reservation on my part (ordered a female room bed instead of a male one). Maybe it’s just that the other one set the bar really high.

The recreational rooms are awesome, full of games and books and textbooks in case you want to study some Japanese. They even had switch games, and most importantly, one of the rooms had a cat. Makes me want to take a trip just to hang out at the hostel. The property was easy to find and easy to access and felt safe and secure. The room I stayed in had a lock on the door. There were towels to rent and toothbrushes to buy in case you forget those. Staff was super friendly and spoke English. Clearly a lot of thought and care was put into this place. More than I thought I was going to get for the affordable price and more friendly than other hostel’s I’ve stayed in. It’s less than a 5 min walk from Itsutsubashi and a 20 min walk from Sendai Station, located next to a bunch of restaurant with lots of recommendation on site in English. If you’re comfortable with dorm rooms and typical hostels this is definitely an awesome place to stay.

You do have to buy or rent amenities, but if you bring them it’s not a big deal, also super affordable prices, most everything was less than ¥200.

The staff was extremely welcoming and introduced guests to each other, creating an environment where guests could easily share their travel experiences and recommendations or have fun together. This is the first hostel that I've stayed at that has had this level of commitment to making the accommodation more than just a place to sleep for the night.

While the staff and facilities were great, the beds themselves left something to be desired. They had metal frames that could be felt through the mattress.

It's a pretty good hostel with everything you expect. I liked that my room didn't have more than 4 beds because more people means worse sleep. The showers had nice warm water and the toilets were clean. There's 2 kitchens and a large lounge with a comfy couch and 2 very nice cats. The other guests were all very nice as well.

I didn't really understand it at first but it seems like some of the guests are also staff which I found a bit weird. With this situation I can understand some of the complaints that other reviewers have with the check in. Luckily I had no issues.

I like that the staff let us stay in one of their vacant rooms whilst waiting for check in time since it was snowing heavily when we got there. The staff showed us around the facility and explained how to use the amenities both in English and Japanese. It was also easy to reach out to any of the staff as they’re approachable. Plus I love their cats! The property is clean and is near the station and other accessible areas. My experience was in complete contrast with the other reviews. I really loved my stay here. :)

None. I really enjoyed my stay. :)

I was a little nervous about the reviews, but I actually found this place to be very clean and cozy, much like any other intimate hostel. My female-only room was a single bed for just me, so the privacy was a welcome surprise. The bed was a Japanese futon, which I personally like because I enjoy sleeping on the floor haha. I was only there for two nights, but it seemed like this would be a really lovely and social environment for longer term visitors. I think it struck a really good balance between the cleanliness/maintenance of a larger hostel, and the coziness and comfort of a smaller hostel. Also it's Japan, they don't really do central heating, deal w it lol???

Super kind and friendly staff, really nice room and comfy bed, clean, lots of extra rooms although I didn't use them as I was only staying one night and meeting friends but there was a cute cat kept in one room, and comfy seating, kitchens, a tatami room with a samurai costume.

Nothing, except maybe that it's 20 minutes from Sendai station which was easy but a bit difficult with a big backpack

It was clean, everyone was very friendly. They offer some products to buy, but you have some konbinis and restaurants straight around the corner. They offer a laundry and dryer as well.

The bed is a little bed hard is the only thing I didn't like that much.
