Location and having a sento was great as well as just covering exactly what we needed

No way to control air conditioning in rooms so I was being overheated even in winter to the point I had to open the windows to not dry out. Also their was truely alarming extremist views expressed by the hotel owners in books that are provided in every room which after discovering have ensured I will never again support APA hotels and will make sure that people know of this alarming detail despite my having an otherwise enjoyable stay but I simply can not be party to supporting people who would pen such views.

Location - Away from the bustle of over-touristy (main) Shinjuku Conveniently located few steps away from Tokyo Metro (Shinjuku Gyoenmae station - Marounuchi Line - which goes to Tōkyō station - especially if you're arriving via Narita Express - no need to drop off from extremely confusing Shinjuku Station) Has quieter, neighborhood style restaurants and coffee shops; and a leisurely walk towards Shinjuku (via San-Cho-Me) - see shops, Isetan, two starbucks haha, local market, a Tsukiji-style restaurant as well Can stroll to nearby Shinjuku National Garden - extremely popular during autumn and Sakura seasons ----- Rooms This is a typical Japanese business hotel. DO NOT EXPECT a "decently sized" room. If you're booking for two persons and you've got big luggages - don't expect to have any more foot treading space left HAHAHAHA. Small bathroom, Japanese bidet toilet yes! Toothbrush, comb, shaver, towels - yes! Can also ask to clean room once a day ----- Onsen (Japanese style spa) - yes! Love it! -----

Booking via third-party apps/companies Make sure you check your email regularly- they'd send you a "confirmation" message and you have to reply at a certain time deadline - otherwise the hotel will cancel your reservation

It was very close to Shinjuku, everything is in walking distance and therefore a very good strategic location. Not very crowded streets and location. Tattoo stickers are available at the reception for bathing. Washer and dryer available in the basement as a microwave or a cold drink machine. Supermarkets and coffee shops are around the corner. Restaurants just use your google maps. It is the best navigation app and really up to date. Most of the stuff is in walking distance.

Although it was mentioned 11m2 roomspace it is very small when you have 2 suitcases and you are a couple. The humidity was very high during our stay and the airco could not take it away so your clothes feels a bit wet because of that. The airco wond is bouncing of the wall onto my head. It is something you can avoid. For sure not but it will prevent you from getting up with a stiff neck or a cold. For travel adapter please take the standard one, if you have a "third" pin for asian region it won't fit so luckily I had 2. Another thing that was not comfortable the long wait time for taking the elevator's. There's no stairs to take outside emergency so you're bounded to the elevator's. It happened that during checkout time we had to skip several times because it was full.

Great location 5 combinis within 5 minutes. Station next door plus Shinjuku station is a 10 minute walk. Heaps of food options fantastic gyoza restaurant across the road. Easy check in check out, 3 elevators although obviously busy at check out time.

I do wish the rooms and shower were that bit bigger but kind of expected in japan. The cleaner took our card out of the electricity slot, no idea why so had to go get a new one from front desk. Was worried they were going to charge us but they seemed to understand so im thinking this may happen alot given the cleaners probably use the slot when they clean for the lights.

Location was the no.1 thing we pick this hotel as it is so close to the metro station. Cleanliness was okay, the housekeeping team did a great job. The room was okay even though we wished it was a little larger. The staff were hospitable and helpful, assisting us with everything we needed during our stay. We appreciate both the house keeping team and the front desk team that has made our 2 weeks stay so comfortable. We love the onsen and the convenience of having the washer and dryer to do our laundry.

We wished there could be a smoking area or room for guests.

I loved the location and the fact that there's a beautiful park just behind the hotel and the main train station is basically just down the street. I also found the staff to be extremely helpful, going above and beyond the normal.

I didn't like the checking in process because it was all computerized and we were only successful because of the super helpful person on hand. The only other problem was the shower kept leaking out flooding the floor, and several times, the cleaning staff insisted we wait outside the rooms while they cleaned, but my friends were not feeling well.

I've stayed at this APA multiple times—it’s an amazing value! I still can’t think of a better location for staying in Tokyo. It’s close to Shinjuku’s main attractions, with Shinjuku-gyoemmae Station just a few steps away, and surrounded by lively nightlife. I love it! The rooms are what you’d expect from Tokyo—compact—but this time, I got a veeeeery small room, much smaller than usual. I couldn’t even leave my suitcase open on the floor! That aside, the staff is mostly friendly (with a few exceptions), the bed is comfy, and the shower is great after a long day of exploring Tokyo. Super recommended for solo travellers!

I understand that Japanese culture has a deep-rooted negative perception of tattoos, but overall, I think attitudes are improving. I’ve been to public onsens and sentōs that already accept them, so I find it a bit surprising that a hotel with a significant number of international travellers still does not allow guests with tattoos in their bath. Additionally, for smokers, there’s no designated smoking area at the hotel, which is quite unusual for Japan.

Hotel is exceptionally well located, about 50m from the Maranouchi line subway station Shinjuku Gyoemmae. Google doesn't tell you but you can change from the rail line when you come from the airport to the subway line at Shinjuku station and literally pop up 50m from the hotel front entrance. Very convenient and close to everything. There is heaps of dining bars and the park within easy walk. It was also quiet inside and we got a good sleep. The room was very small but comfortable and clean. We got the breakfast, which was pretty average, I wouldn't book the breakfast again as there are plenty of better food options nearby. Overall I totally recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

The location was terrific. The staff was both friendly and helpful. The room was a reasonable size and functional with a desk, hot water kettle and mini fridge. I didn’t try the hotel restaurant but it was packed so I assume it was good.

The room had a bunch of odd stains on the wall, mostly black but some pink too. They were obvious so I’m not sure why they weren’t addressed. The room seemed very clean otherwise but the stains make me wonder. The bathroom was a typical pre-fab job. Some APA hotels have much better bathrooms, including one I stayed in just last week. It is fine but not great.

Self service laundry was great w/ 4 units ea. washer / dryer. Location is superior and convenient to explore all of Tokyo. Walking distance to Shinjuku Gyoenmae, Shinjuku Sanchome and Shinjuku stations. Neighborhood dining options are superior with multiple food choices to fit all budgets. Combinis short walk away and neighborhood grocery store nearby as well. Onsen was wonderful!

Rooms are small but expected. Non-stop transfer from Haneda is not available via Metro. Need to connect or take airport limo bus to Shinjuku sta and walk or transfer to metro to get to hotel. Dining room did not sell coffee (without buying breakfast) and no lobby coffee service.
